myself and my son came here today especially to test out the pie mash and liquor, we have lived and worked in the eastend of London (Hoxton) all our lives until we moved here to Folkestone, as did our parents and grandparents so have had pie and mash many many many times over the years so we know a good pie and mash when we have it. we have had it from many different pie shops all over the east end over the years and have had some proper ropey ones! some would "take the roof off ya maff" we have both decided that a lot of effort has gone into the captains tables pie mash and liquor and they have even gone as far as to make sure there was chilli vinegar! cant have it without that! we gave them ten out of ten it was delicious and exactly what we would have expected to come out of a good old fashioned east end pie shop. well done guys, we will definitely be back for more! lovely breakfast, Could be improved by cooking the black pudding but that's not a big issue. my breakfast partner and I left feeling very satisfied and fat. Will be back.

Yes u do get big portions of food I would sooner that then not enough good service & spotlessly clean what else do u need date visit date 03/02/18

Visited for a Sunday brunch after a lovely sunny walk with my two boys. Love that dogs are welcome. Food excellent and staff very friendly �

Lovely fresh cooked breakfast plus a hot drink all in for £5.30 .. well worth the money

I wrote a negative review back in 2016, as I didn’t like the sausages.. but after hearing they had changed them, I thought it only fair to write another after visiting again...

wow what a difference, not only have they improved the quality of the sausage, the whole place has been redecorated and looks so inviting...

well done to you, I will definitely be recommending and be returning...

Great food nice big portions good value for money, also a dog friendly place so will definitely be heading back.

Good food with plenty of choice for veggies and non veggies alike. Low cost for large portions. Meals hot and freshly cooked. Restaurant accepts dogs which the adjoining pubs do not. Visit the Captains table for a good welcome in a modern clean venue. We will definitely lunch here when next in Folkestone.

First visit today. This will now be our go to place for a fry up. Lovely and modern and clean. Have to say the fish & chips looked yummy too � �

Nice café, good atmosphere, only stopped for a coffee but the food looked amazing so we will certainly return.

Mum had a lovely Breakfast no.2..

But I had 2 poached eggs on toast..

I tried it again...

They were not Poached...

More like fried ...

Won't have them again...
