Omg what can I say me an my mother eat here today with desert too,staff are so friendly an the food was absolutely delicious and what fantastic value for money £3.89 for the carvery and for £2 extra you could have a pudding I was thoroughly stuff thank you

I go with friends every other Monday. I decided to book up for Christmas meal for myself my hubby and two kids. Today for me has been lovely not having to cook, wash up, tidy up...our Christmas dinner from starter to pudding was lovely..nice portions too. Well worth paying for on Christmas day..the staff we also friendly and did an amazing job...I will certainly recommend the dovecoat to other friends and family. Congratulations on job well done xx

Better than the toby beautiful food and roast potatoes are Bostin 10 out 10 defo goin there from now on ...

Always a bit dubious about going out for a carvery.I was pleasantly surprised here, the carvery was awesome.Friendly staff great tasting food at great prices.I am very fussy about my Sunday dinner so I was very happy when I came here.Will visit again soon!

Nicely cooked meat (good choice - beef turkey and gammon), you can have some shepherds pie, stuffing ball and Yorkshire.



Lots of veg to choose from - sprouts, carrots, peas, mash, boiled and roast potatoes (something with peppers a and onions in it) then normal and onion gravy.



Yammed the lot in as it was delicious especially as it only cost £4.29 �🍽

Very nice carvery the meat was very good nice staff great price the beer was good to

Lovley food but very rude owners i go often for a carvery here but am really disappointed at the way my friend has been treated !!

Carvery was COLD and limited and had to wait for chef serve up. Not keen on dining area..Plus side coffee was fabulous and bought to your table in a lovely tall glass mug....

We had my little cousins 18th birthday party there last night and there was three staff on. A lad and two girls. The two girls were incredibly rude to us all. They kept giving dirty looks tp all the children and talking down to them. The blonde girl shouted at my 6 year old neice and locked my sister in law outside while she was smoking. My nephew asked her to unlock the door and she said no but then huffed and said "fucks sake" when she got told someone was out there. The two girls also said that our family was a nightmare and they locked the front doors on us when it finished and wouldn't let us wait inside for the taxis. Thats not fair on the children. It was quarter past 12 and freezing. I am disgusted by their behavior.

Not much veg choice at all...gravy and meat were nice. Place is generally run down and needs a good make over.

I was still hungry after my meal and the bar man said I should have gone back for seconds..no one told me that!!



Pudding was on the small side again for the price. I had the choc fudge cake and custard and well. ..It looked vile. Someone can't heat custard without it being all lumpy. It doesn't bode well does it.



No where near as good as the malt shovel. Won't be returning. luckily we only spend just over 20 quid!!!

Didn't enjoy, veg tasted frozen, fried stuffing balls, burnt roasters, not very good

What An Absolute waste of money the food was vile and has made us bad since eatting it and the staff was so horrible and spoke to you like dirt I'll never eat there again

We went for Christmas dinner this year 2017 what a let down!!! We booked there for 2 pm sitting and was not seated until after 2.30. We then had to wait ages for our starters and was given them with no cutlery!! Grate start!!

So after the mix up with the starters we then went to the mix up with the mains and before the desserts arrived we wer given our final mince pie with no coffee!! Then dessert with again no cutlery Wtf half the table had been cleared and the other was left

Mid main course they closed the bar!!! We paid £35 each and there was 15 on our table I understand the staff wer young and run off there feet but I think the management have a lot to answer for!!

Please don’t attempt to eat at this place it has gone right down the pan Sunday Lunch was not edible two girls try to cut the meat with a Stanley knife you can see through it

Veggies not cooked I sat down tasted what I got just left the lot please go elsewhere you will be disappointed ����

Just got back from probably the worst meal I've ever had .. booked a table for 13 people this is were the problems started could only seat 8 people round the tables they had reserved for us not at all

helpfull in resolving seating problem. . Then the food turkey still had blood seeping out of it ..

Beef ..was served all the scraps

That were left of joint ..

Owner was told .. never even offer to change meals ..probably not intrested beacase it was a pre paid booking .. vegetables were stewed ...

As you can imagine will not be recommending our returning

I can’t say I’ll be back in a hurry to this place. Vegetarian option of pasta with gravy? Pasta not tasting of much and sub-par veg. Shame really, it was a family meal and really spoiled my experience. Staff didn’t really seem to know what was going on.

Don’t think I’ve tasted food like it!!!! Bland... carrots tasted like perfume!! Mash was slop never known of deep fried stuffing won’t be returning �
