Folks, a little while ago we posted and asked all our doggie mum's and dads to remember to keep their pooches on a lead (amongst other things).....well unfortunately last night a dog that was not on a lead attacked a dog that was. 😱😭 Please, please be respectful to the rules and considerate to others. If a team member explains that your dog cannot come in a certain area/needs to be on a lead etc, please don't take it personally, we are trying to keep all humans and pets safe. We hope you understand? 🐕

very Inviting beautiful decor, lovely surroundings, food was exceptional very nice, steak a little underdone but extremely tasty and well worth the price! Enjoyed it very much so did my mam and son. Staff were brilliant and very friendly. Thank you very much.

What a lovely spot to enjoy a meal. I loved the decor, complete with a working fireplace and tweed dotted about (I love tweed). The food was delicious, well presented with perfect portion sizes. On this occasion it was a Sunday roast for two which I highly recommend. Will definitely be calling again.

Well we went New Year’s Day in a party of five. We had starters, traditional roast dinners of different varieties. Good amount of meat, wide range of vegetables, provided. Offered and provided additional sauces. Desserts were lovely. Service was friendly and prompt even though they were very busy. It did what it said on the tin - well done.

Very good food, which is reasonably priced. We went for the small lunch menu, 2 courses. We had a main course and a coffee and small pud which is the option at the bottom of the menu. Really good value. Staff very friendly and happy to wait for the four of us to make our minds up. Would definitely recommend

Stopped off before going to a concert in Cardiff. Lovely food and served very quickly. Lovely friendly staff 😀

Lovely meal, great quality, service was prompt and came with a smile. First visit but will definitely return, nice and clean and really good portion sizes adult and child meals!

I LOVE the place, the decor and how it’s been refurbished is Gorgeous.

Yummy Pub food, the Aparagus and broad bean risotto is Just AMAZING. You’ll want to go for the larger option :p

When it gets busy (normally the evenings) be prepared to wait a little longer for your food! However the atmosphere is Great and so are the Staff. Totally Recommended xoxo

Stayed at the holiday Day inn express , we went in for lunch , what a lovely cosy pub , with very pleasant staff , lovey food too .

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. Food was good, and reasonably priced. Staff very pleasant and very polite. I would definitely go again.�

Lovely food but not quite hot enough. Bad point is waitress added another drink to our bill which she told us was meant for the next table. Imagine if customers don't bother to check their bills how much money this place would make.

When we arrived we were told to take a seat, we did and then ordered food and drink at the bar, just to see that every other table had waitress' serving them and asking for drinks orders.

So we ordered 3 mains and were told it would take around half an hour, so dad said he might as well get a starter as he was starving, so he ordered soup, the soup took ages and looked like curry, not soup, 45 minutes after ordering we questioned the wait to be told 'its on its way, we've got a table of 16 to serve' 15 minutes later so a full hour after ordering we questioned it again, just to be told 'its half an hour per course and the main course has only been on the board for 22 minutes as it only comes up once the starters have been served, which means it took 38 minutes for 1 soup? Doesnt really make sense.

If it wasnt for the long wait, or atleast if we were aware of it i would return, wouldnt bother at this point

The bar staff and manager in particular is rude and very unapproachable. Food is ok but avoid duck dish over priced or an exceptional small serving. ( could be a starter)

The third time we have been, the 1st time was ok so we went back couple of weeks later, this time was terrible, we had to wait for food wasn’t offered more drinks within 10 mins of finishing them, no specials available, the starter my husband wanted was not available. Last night we went back on the off chance that our last experience was a one off..... No it was not!!!!! This time it was worse same scenario as last time but with the added insult of giving us the wrong bill which we paid, until I queried it,. Will not be going again����

Socking service. Came here a month ago and found the service to be really poor a meal was missing and the staff took ages to correct the issue. Went back today in the hope it was an off day but sadly it wasn't. We went as a group of 6 adults and 4 Children. Kids meals were ordered to come out with starters but only 2 did, when we asked where the other 2 were the staff looked at us confused and were more interested in who was to blame on there side rather than sorting the issue. Kids meals eventually came (around 20 minutes later) and were half the size of the other 2 whilst also missing items. Mains followed but again 2 were missing. We told the staff and they returned with another 2 kids meals and not the adult meals we were waiting for so we sent them back. They then came back and said that they were out of items on those selected meals so we canceled the meals and left. 2 visits and 2 bad experiences.

My wife booked on 19th September for Xmas dinner for 8 people, and paid deposit of £70. Phoned yesterday to order the meals, but no record of the booking.

Have since checked bank, phone records, and confirmed we rang this pub at the time and date specified, and transaction taken by phone at that time, although paid to Inn on the Lake?

My wife really getting stressed, without so far reporting this as a fraud, but disgusted by the lack of responsibility thus far shown by this pub. And told there is no room for us for Xmas day dinner
