'Barrel load of belly laughs' - Birmingham Live
Well i thought it was great! Went there for the first time to see Neil Hilborn, didn't wait too long to get in, service at the bar was nice and quick, seating available, albeit nice and cosy. A really lovely night and finished with meet&greet, and thankful staff/security as we left. Would definitely go there again.
We went to see Tom Stade last night and it was absolutely brilliant. My dad is in a wheelchair and the staff were amazing they couldnโt do enough. From when we walked in the security was very polite and took our names and then straight away a member of staff escorted us to the lifts to get dad to the venue.the table had already been set ready for dads wheelchair to fit in.we have never been before to the glee club but we will defiantly be returning.Thank you again for everything we finally got dad out to his first comedy show and your service built dads confidence to go again and again...first class service!Well Done Glee Club ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ
We came last night and I can honestly say I didn't stop laughing all the way through!! Absolutely fantastic night, staff were lovely, no long queues, just brilliant xx
Visited The Glee Club on Saturday night and we had the best time! All of the acts were fabulous, including the compare, couldnโt fault them. Very, very funny and professional!
Didnโt eat but drinks were fine, little expensive but thatโs to be expected I suppose. Great night, will definitely be returning! Thanks for a great birthday!
This was my first time coming to the Glee Club and at first I was abit apprehensive after reading some of the poor reviews but i can honestly say i had a fab night and i am glad i came along to try it for myself. Staff were friendly, didn't have to wait long at the bar, food was lovely and most importantly the Comedians were very funny! Especially liked Andy. Already planning a next visit. Thank you :)
They always save the best comedians til last but tbh whilst they were good the compares are fantastic & worth their weight in gold - both compares seen on a Saturday evening (Canadian chap & Manchester lass) were both brill ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ
I had tickets for tonight but due to an ankle injury post booking I'm unable to make it. Called them and they agreed to transfer my tickets to a later date of my choice for a nominal admin fee! Great customer service thank you.
Great night out for laughter from start to finish.
Good selection of drought beers and bottled too.
Helpful staff and a really relaxed atmosphere.
If you are stuck for a night out then give this place a visit.
Fab venue for comedy and live entertainment! Decent bar, friendly staff and plenty of seating. 11/10 would come again ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ
Attended moya brennan gig last night with my wife.my wife is disabled and i would just like to say a big thanks to the woman on security and also the woman whom took us to the main function room for their patience and help which made the evening even more enjoyable.๐
Amazing venue and audiences, great club!
Always love a visit to Glee Club and the latest produced a perfect example of excellent customer service above and beyond.
I booked tickets on line and failed to check my email confirmation. Unfortunately I had booked the wrong date and turned up a week late! The door was busy but they dealt with the matter sympathetically and quickly without causing me further embarrassment. They were able to confirm that I hadn't attended the previous week and found seats for us on the night. Fantastic.
Was a great event however seating was too cramped and being pregnant it was hard to weave in and out of people. The coke tasted watered down and could of got better in spoons and the toilets were grubby (you can tell how much care goes into cleaning by the corners of a room) I'm just glad the act made it worth while. I would definitely go again for a good act but for anything else it's really not worth it
Over zealous security, miserable bar staff and uncomfortably hot. Compare was really funny, other acts no so much. As a first to the Glee Club our group were very disappointed. Felt like a school assembly with the security staff bearing down on everyone, lots of comments from customers throughout the night that thought the same, wouldn't return and definitely wouldn't recommend....
My friends and I visited the club on Sunday. Once the audience were seated it got unbearably hot, no fresh air no nothing. It was too uncomfortable to enjoy the show. Which was such a shame. Getting served at the bar was a nightmare in its self! I understand that it was a hot day, but surely the AC should have been working. After all we paid to have an enjoyable experience...
I wish I could give this place 0 stars.. been coming here every year, sometimes twice a year for a long time. Came to see a Christmas show with my husband on 22nd December. We were sent an email asking us to arrive at 8:15pm for our food and show. When we arrived at 8:15pm we were told we were late and should of arrived at 6:45pm and we had now missed our starter. Our main was cold and had clearly been standing. The comedy wasn't funny and a bad atmosphere was created by security throwing half the audience out for laughing, (how dare they laugh at a comedy gig ๏ฟฝ) we spoke with the manager after the show to express our disappointment and she promised us free tickets to come back again and she had our email and would send us tickets. THIS HAS NEVER MATERIALISED. we have complained via email and we have been ignored.
I took my friend to the Glee club for her birthday as sheโs never been before and I have been several times and always thought it was a brilliant night out BUT within 20 mins of the comedians starting we were RUDLEY told by a member of staff โto take our little giggle fest to the toiletโ because we were laughing. I was absolutely disgusted how we were spoken to like naughty school girls. If we were been too loud fair enough but at least approach us with some professionalism!!!! This ruined the whole night we were on edge incase we โlaughed too loudโ or spoke to one another which is another thing โyouโre not allowed to doโ. Tried to complain to a male manager with tattooed arms and was extremely rude to us aswell offering no apologies for his staffs behaviour and made us out to be in the wrong for laughing at a comedy club. To top it off some lads starting messing around and play fight during one act and nothing was said/done about their behaviour! Glee club Iโm sorry but you have ruined it for yourselves and my friend birthday. You have lost some loyal customers Iโm afraid.
Comedians were funny but you're not allowed to laugh without being told you're too loud by the staff... Absolute joke. (Ironic) And the manager needs to go on a management course before being allowed to talk to customers.. disgusting behaviour.
Also just looked through reviews and most people say the same.. maybe get better staff and security and you would have a decent place.
Came yesterday. Not sure where the comedy was but not here! Lots of people including my group left during the second act. All acts weren't funny and the two men couldn't handle hecklers. All very awkward and a waste of money. Will not be back.
