Staff were friendly food was hot, fresh and delicious well worth the money (Cajun burger) will definitely visit here again next time I'm in Birmingham

Too few staff on duty at such a busy time. We were actually served very quickly because we went to the bar to order despite being asked to wait at our table.

We always come here when we use the Hippodrome and it’s changed hands a lot over the years. This visit was the worst in a while which was a shame �

Sorry but not great. Went on Wednesday evening. No non - alcoholic cocktails available, cheese cake tasted of sweetened butter and was way too greasy. Good atmosphere though and great staff.

Service was kind of a sham. Got my food 10 minutes before my cutlery... �. Food was not worth the price both quality and quantity, especially when you can count the amount of chips on your plate, on your one hand. Ok for pre drinks before a theatre performance, But I definitely will not be 'dining' here again.

Food was ok but service was terrible. Wasn’t given time to peruse the menu before being asked what we wanted. When our food did arrive the waitress knocked the stack of menus into my meal then told me to be careful! Part of our meal order was missing and when I went to ask we were brought menus again. Don’t think the waiters/ waitresses walked past my chair once without knocking it. Then the waitress tried to clear out plates whilst we were still eating! Not great .....

Very cheesed off with this place now. We visited in early July, hoping to eat before seeing a show at the Hippodrome. Ordered in plenty of time and despite telling the staff we needed to be leaving in time for the show, we waited and waited . Eventually, as it came up to almost ONE HOUR after we had ordered, it become clear that we wouldn't make it in time, so told the staff we were going to have to give up on our food. We had already paid at the bar, on ordering, so my husband and the waitress went through the business of refunding our payment, by debit card. Despite the so-called refund, it has never appeared in his bank account. We have emailed, telephoned many, many times, lately telephoning almost daily. Each time we are told that the manager "will be in later", "will ring you back", "the manager is on holiday and will be in touch when he's back next week" - all sorts of excuses. We are still owed nearly £50 from a meal we never got because this place could not serve us within a reasonable amount of time. Expect a recorded delivery letter in the near future.

Shocking we waited for 40 mins for food prior to seeing show tables came after us were being served first in the end with 15 mins before show started we had to walk out still no food no apology

Group of 9 people, always had good experiences previously, 2 meals came within 10 minutes of ordering, waited 40 minutes before another 2 came, another 40 minutes before we received the final five which were cold to the point of inedibility. No management present to deal with anything and the whole staff team didn't seem to have a clue what was going on. Needless to say we won't be returning!!!
