We was there yesterday.Lovely food,Service very good.Enjoyed very much.

Was a lovely evening staff really helpful and friendly had to wait a while for our meal , but when it came it was well worth waiting for . Best steak I've had for a long while .

This is not the first time I have eaten here and it never disappoints, the Sunday roast is hard to beet.



I have eaten in many 1, 2 and 3 AA Rosette establishments and this can hold its own. A friendly team with fresh seasonal produce I would highly recommend dining on a Sunday especially.

Love going there. Very clean Food great, love the Sunday lunches. Great staff very polite and friendly staff Will go that one step further to ensure you enjoy your meal. Nothing is to much trouble. Highly recommend this restaurant especially Sunday lunch not been disappointed at all in all the time we have been eating there excellent !!!!!

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday with my husband and daughter. Eat off the early bird menue 2x £12. Ended up having 3 course all of which were excellent . Good sized meals hot and tasty. Would I go again ...yep just about to book again taking a couple of friends this time. Well done to the Greyhound and its staff .

Fab and fresh home cooked food, all our meals were delicious � early bird special 2 for £14 is a great deal too, friendly staff and lovely service ! Highly recommend The Greyhound.

Excellent food, surroundings and staff attentive. All of our meals were great and there were 6 in our group will definitely go again.

Excellent food and service from the staff is second to none, they are attentive and make the meal a lovely experience. Nice traditional food and something for everyone. Children welcome and well catered for.

12pm Sunday lunch meal for 3. First in and food arrived in good time. Food was piping hot, fresh and well cooked. Being a foodie and fussy I'm pleased to say I'd definitely return. Nice meal guys !!

Our first visit to the greyhound first impressions were good nice country pub loverly outside seating area . We had just popped in for a drink on our way to our usual pub for evening meal but noticed they did a early bird menu 2 for 14 so we gave it a try. We were very disappointed the meal size was so small my hubby had scampi 6 small pieces with 8 chips and peas he asked for some tartar sauce he was given one teaspoon full in a very small pot . Won't be eating there again but would pop in for a drink in the garden area

My partner & I came for a meal one evening and found it OK. Didn't find anything special about it to be honest and found the food really quite pricey for what it was so I doubt we will be returning. They also seated us in front of the kitchen doors and halfway in the walkway where we had an awful draft from the kitchen door opening & closing every 5 mins & we felt, how our table was positioned, that we were in the way with people walking up and down. We asked to be moved to which they did, to their credit, accommodate us. The starter was good but expensive for what it was and my main was pie with chips, peas and red cabbage. The pie was OK, the chips were overcooked and the cabbage just didn't go with the meal and didn't taste that great. My partner had a mixed grill and was pleased with it. Overall the staff were nice and polite and the place had a nice atmosphere but the food wasn't worth what we paid for it.

Disappointed with lunch , baked fish but I didn't want the parsley sauce.

A shock at how the plate was presented. A piece of baked cod and chips. No peas or salad accompanied the fish. No lemon either.

I like the restaurant and usually have a nice meal. A special Christmas treat for my friend sadly turned out embarrassing .

Visited the Greyhound last evening, celebrating my 80th birthday.

My starter of soup I was told was tomatoe and basil in which I could not taste any tomatoe

at all and was cold. Also the bread was stale. I could not eat it. I did complain to the waiter

who collected my soup who said he would report it to the chef but nothing was done. I did at least think I would have had an apology or the price deducted from my bill as there was only 4 of us dining and I spent over £l00.00 pounds. Very disappointed.

Visited last night - place was lovely, waitress was awful, ordered medium steak it came very well done, they then cooked me another one and it Moo'd as is got to the table, chef obviously a comedian - What a shame as place looks like someone really cares about it.
