I would like to say thank you for all the lovely comments about the fireworks last night. So it is with great regret after 15 years of the Mug House and myself putting on the New years eve display that i am having to step down due to personal reasons, I hope someone will pick up the mantle and keep the lovely people of Bewdley entertained next New years eve.

Sunday lunch is great. Meals are a good size it's a lovely pub friendly staff.

User

Spoiled for choice of good pubs / eateries in Bewdley but the Mug House stands out for service, atmosphere, and especially their menu... and beer.

User

Myself & three friends really enjoyed our lunchtime meals here. It was quite busy when we first went in but the staff were very friendly & welcoming.

I had the Camembert platter which was delicious & I would certainly order it again. We stayed all afternoon & it was lovely to relax with friends.

We're all looking forward to returning again soon.

Met up for birthday drinks here last night, it was welcoming, friendly and comfortable and a great choice of drinks

Hi all

Forget trip advisor . The mug house inn is the number one pub and restaurant in bewdley . What they don't say is that the restaurant is separate from the pub but joined if you know what I mean so it's not just a pub that serves food thus you get a proper restaurant feel and are well looked after by the friendly staff . The room we stayed in was oldey worldey quirky beautiful warm cosy ( you could have been in the lot valley) overlooking the severn with very little passing traffic. Apart from the ducks geese swans and the rowing club opposite .breakfast was great restaurant food was fantastic .lots of ales to choose from . And there's a sign on the front door that reads adults only after 8.30 pm( there are loads of other pubs to take your kids in ) the owner and staff made us feel very welcome really enjoyed the weekend break and if ever in the area we will be back .

Had a wonderful meal at lunch, beer battered cod and gammon. Superb food and service, love the fire and the little seats round it! Will be back!

User

Had a fantastic time with friends on Monday 21st of May. My friend said try the camembert, salad , bread roll and pickles. It was absolutely fantastic. Xx

User

Great pub. A winner for atmosphere, food quality and beer/cider choice. All topped off with a friendly and efficient team. Already booked up for the next visit!

User

Fantastic food and fantastic service. We had the lobster and the steak delicious!!

User

Ate at the Mug House Pub in Bewdley this lunch time. Right on the river. You will need to book for sure. The manager (I think) has a wheat intolerance and totally aware of CD and CC so is working on making as much of the menu GF as possible. Check out my roast dinner...medium rare sirloin of beef with gravy, roasties, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower cheese, gravy and the biggest yorkie ever....followed by sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce and home made custard. Heaven on a plate

User

A delicious slow roasted beef dinner was enjoyed by all 3 of us. My daughter has gluten intolerance (coeliac)and all she missed out on was the Yorkshire pudding. She had extra roast potatoes to make up for it. We were here on a Sunday, hadn’t booked but arrived about 12:45. Very friendly and polite. Would highly recommend. Ohh and the gravy was the best I’ve had in a long time too.

User

Walked into bewdley had drink here, service good 👍and then went for chips by river☀️😎 Next time will try food 😊

User

Considering it was so busy and being part of a large group, they served our food in good time. The food itself was generous and tasty and I’d definitely return.

User

A fabulous place to stay rooms massive I upgraded to a superior room only complaint my bed was rock hard I had to sleep on the sofa glad it had that sofa.. breakfast was a big bonus from fruit cereal yogurt croissant to a massive full English breakfast menu very good will deffently stay again just in a different room

User

We only go in for a drink while we are on our walk,we sit out the back as we have walking boots & heavy out door clothes on,drinks pricey, but we still call in

User

On the menu it clearly states that because they use fresh produce, meals will take longer to be served.

However, there were only 6 other people intending to eat, 2 of those just ordered soup, but my husband and I waited over 25 minutes for our meal and even longer afterwards for our desert.

We have been before and had long waits so it is not likely to be a venue we shall use again, even if it is lovely to watch the river! Also the room was cold.

User

Unfortunately my first and last visit,. We went for lunch today. The pizza topping tasted like tomato purée my linguini needed seasoning but there were no condiments and it was impossible to catch the eye of the serving staff, in fact we weren't asked if we needed anything else or how the meal was at all. My father in law loves a pudding and even though I left the tab open for this no one told us they stopped service so we missed out. Total communication failure throughout, although the barman was helpful opening the fire door for our wheelchair

User

Love the pub and have been many times, however we stayed last night for the first time, the room was a little tired and the bathroom door didn’t shut. The woman that served us at breakfast was very unfriendly, there was no “good morning” when we sat down she just said “tea or coffee ?” A little training in customer service is needed

User

Been here before at lunchtimes and the food is lovely. First time tonight for evening meal and we won't be rushing back. Really disappointed with the menu options, very pretentious, the best part of the meal were the chips !! And I'm not a lover of chips, but they were nice. Overpriced we felt, and so were the drinks £4.45 for a pint of Stella. Needless to say we're still sober. Think this place needs to be re-named Mug House Inn and Angry Customers !!
