What an amazing evening we have just spent at The Navigation Inn tonight Mom's 80th birthday. The food as ever was lovely. The staff are so friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. We really want to thank you for making Mom's night unforgettable. We'll be back soon xx

User

Went there after a recommendation from Black Prince who we'd just finished our canal holiday with... Well, what a perfect way to end our holiday!! I have a broken foot and they were very accommodating, giving us a table with lots of room and a stool to put my foot on. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed having a chat with them! The food was AMAZING - my starter was so good that I was genuinely excited about my main and it did not disappoint!! I was soooo full but I couldn't not have a pud so I chose my all time favourite sticky toffee pudding and it was one of the best I've ever had! Can't recommend this place enough - wish we lived nearby because this would definitely be my regular if we were up that way!

User

We stopped off on the way from Worc after a bike ride ,, super impressed with our lovely lunch . Just the job thank you

We are currently in the final stages of completing a house move from north Birmingham to Bromsgrove. Over the last 18 months we have become well acquainted with the area but have never stopped off at the Navigation Inn. Since noticing it's recent refurb myself and my husband had said a number of times "we really must try that place, it looks lovely". Well today we finally stopped and we are so very pleased we did.

We were greeted by the owner Geoff who immediately made us feel very welcome. The refurb is a very stylish one, modern yet traditional. We both opted for a mixed meat Sunday roast....wow!!! Very generous meals and served piping hot! Excellent!

Service was excellent also. The staff were very attentive and Geoff himself (between serving other guests) returned to our table to ensure we had enjoyed our meals.

We will definitely be returning here on a regular basis once our move to the area is complete.

Thank you to all at the Navigation Inn, see you again very soon! Xxxx

My partner and I decided to have lunch here on the way back from the Jinny Ring. What a great decision we made!

We were welcomed in a warm and friendly way by all the staff, sat down straight away.

Special mention for the staff’s attention to detail at this very early point: I’m quite fussy about how I like my lager-shandy made. 80% lemonade and 20% lager. During the course of our our meal I ordered this twice, each time it was *perfect*. My partner ordered Stella Artois.

On to the food:

Starters:

My partner ordered the pate and caramelised onion chutney with toast. This was exceptional, the pate having a smokey depth of flavour almost along the lines of bacon. Truly wonderful!

I had the avocado, prawn and mango salad with a Thousand Island dressing. Equally top notch as with the pate!

Mains: we both had the roast beef and all the trimmings (it is a Sunday lunch after all!). This was also exceptional. Really very tasty and well presented food, all served with a smile and perfectly faultless service. The only slight criticism was the cauliflower cheese: definitely not enough cheese sauce, and it had a slight sweetish taste which did not complement the cauliflower (in our opinion, at least. But then, we all have different tastes and preferences!)

Dessert: we started out our meal with the intention of having dessert, but when it came to it we had eaten our fill so could not manage any more on this occasion. However, we will, without a shadow of doubt, be returning very soon and will certainly leave room for afters!

Overall: perfect place to eat, perfect staff with perfect food and drink: we definitely give this place 10/10!

Thank you to all the staff at the Navigation Inn for giving us a wonderful Sunday lunch!

User

Lovely country pub, friendly, nice atmosphere, fab food and Rhia serving us you couldn't ask for more. Will be back soon for sure!

User

User

Hi not really review all be it lovely pub not been few years was wondering if any old customers or locals remember Tommy Jones who lived in large house across road next to railway, was married to Rose. Tom was my mom's brother all passed on long time ago. Was looking for cousins Carl Jones, Paul Jones, Latisha Jones(Brown) John Jones, Rosina Wagstaff Or any of family. If anyone knows whereabouts of any could you pm me please regards Dave

User

First time visiting, definitely won’t be our last. Excellent food and staff, and loved the family atmosphere. Pretty beer garden also. Looking forward to visiting again!

User

Came back with family for my boyfriends birthday this weekend and the food was gorgeous! We have been here a few times and each and every time couldn’t fault the food or service. Really lovely home cooked food at reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful staff also. We will certainly be recommending The Navigation Inn to our friends and will be back again soon! Thank you! User

Been here twice now and is our new favourite place to go. Food is just first class and so are the bar & waiting team. The pub & restaurant are really nicely decorated and the outside space is great too.

Looking for to our next visit!!

User

Absoloutly fabulous food definatly recommend it 5 stars from me ! Friendly staff and made feel very welcome

User

Popped in on a walk this afternoon, accompanied by our 10 month old daughter and our dog. Very warm welcome and service. Started to rain so we decided to stay for dinner, food good, service brilliant and what a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Refurb is lovely, very nice looking place again. We will be returning soon :)

User

The food is great, but there are no changing facilities so if your baby poops just be prepared to change them wherever you can. The staff were friendly enough, just not sure of it being a “family” place to go.

User

Over prized and average quality. We live 3 minutes away walking and would rather pay a taxi. Will get better food and better value.

User

Nice welcome as you walk in nicely decorated. Very disappointed with the baked potato it was so bland that I used alot of pepper and added the coleslaw to it. Couldn't taste the cheese or spring onion. Potato was also the smallest one I've ever had in a pub before. Would travel.if it was worth it but we didn't think it was worth the travel

User

Can’t comment to much or give a higher rating as we just stopped on the banks of the canal and had a pint of cider each! Very nice in the sunshine! Lovely place to watch the barges go past and watch the bird life! 👍

User

Called in today for the first time since the owners took over again. Lovely refurbish, lovely welcome from staff and very accommodating even though we hadn't booked and then it went a little downhill from there .

My glass had lipstick on it, it was replaced but the coke was flat. (no, I didn't mention it...)

My husband asked for a "dash" of lemonade on his drink.....it ended up as a shandy ( yes, it got replaced).

My husbands meal was beautiful , my sons(aged5) meal was basic and mine was a fabulous idea "Pork Albion" but unfortunately too well chargrilled with burnt edges totally destroying any chance of actually tasting it.

Again I didn't mention it..... Too fed up by this point tbh. Its a shame as I had heard good things about this place but personally, I won't be going back.
