We loved our experience yesterday. There was 7 of us. 4 adults and 3 children. We all had adult meals and we found the price very good. Staff were really helpful. Seated fast and food was lovely. We didn't wait very long for food either. Highly recommend �

Myself and my friend booked to stay at the new inn for a couple of days while showjumping nearby and we would both like to say how fantastic our stay has been! Hotel room was clean & tidy and food has been amazing every day! Staff are so helpful too which made our visit even better. Would recommend anyone to stay here �

Just spent 4 nights here, our room was lovely especially the super king size bed! It was extremely clean and very modern. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Had breakfast and a few evening meals here food was great as was the service! Looking forward to our next stay.

Ive just returned from spending 2 nights at the New Inn. It was slow to start as there was no one at the reception. My room was lovely, modern, spacious, clean and very soft luxurious white towels. The breakfast was great I opted for the full English but there other choices too I could have too. I ate there and the food was good value for money. Though told that there'd be a 30 minute wait the food came earlier. All in all I had a lovely coup,e of days.

I've stayed here many times as it's handy for MOD Caerwent whenever there's a rally on there. Rooms are always well turned-out, immaculately clean with fantastic beds and the most heavenly power showers!



The food is excellent and the bar reasonably priced. Whenever we've stayed there the staff have bent over backwards to accommodate us. That's why we keep coming back!

Great service. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Prices are always great too.

Eat here often. But now I can take the dog in the bar with me I’m happy. No more sitting in the garden in the cold. Food is normally good. Had a few times it’s been poor.

Typical hungry horse, good food , well prepared and inexpensive. We were with children who loved the food ( the veggie sausages went down a treat). Had a great time afterwards in the Wacky Warehouse ( part of the same place).

A three year old and two one year olds had a great time. The only downside was the coffee which was grim.

The food was very tasty we had lasagne. Came with delicious garlic bread and salad. We had chips as an extra and they were perfect. Good service not too long a wait and reasonable prices. We were in the adult section.

Since changing to HH the food is much better, not so sure about the wait times and service of clearing the table of plates etc. poor in this department. Waited over 40 minutes for desserts and then was not given cutlery to eat it with and had to ask. Hope as a busy Saturday night it was a one off.

Visited Saturday afternoon, Venue was very busy, clearly looked under staffed, I noticed we were served by a young lady I believe is named saffron who made our visit worth it, thank you

So hotel room was fine but a bit small , clean and good mattress though .. dinner on curry night also great value but the breakfast was pretty rubbish to be honest .. burnt bacon overdone poached eggs etc.. not worth the money for breakfast at all..

I was quite shocked at the food, it was cold and had to be sent back, the child's portion of cottage pie was not up to par ...and the carrots were under cooked, I have had better from there. Disappointed to say the least ...

Food wasn't the best, my daughters order had the wrong side I requested beans with her meal and ended up with dried out carrot sticks and cucumber, although the waitress did change this she brought out a tiny little China pot with some beans in, the kids rice I assumed would be just normal rice but it came with what looked like butternut squash mashed into it with carrots and sweet corn? For dessert the I asked for a diary free alternative and was Offered a fruit pot for my daughter which I thought great she'll love that! Only for it to come in a plastic shop bought pot with two different cut up pieces of fruit in water.. Surely fresh fruit would of been a cheaper alternative? Anyway.. I had the half chicken with seasoned fries and mexican rice and was quite disappointed with what I received.. My chicken was bone dry and I assumed that when you pick a sauce the chicken is cooked in that not just receive a pot of sauce to pour ontop, the rice was okay but very watery and the season chips was actually the best part of my meal but for the £10 the meal cost I had a very small portion .. We haven't been since the restaurant has changed it's name and menu and sadly we won't be returning, I know your food is cheap but sadly the price does show in the food quality �

Went to the wacky warehouse in the new inn today with friends and our children and I'm appalled at the bad management and service we received. Waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive. Had to ask the waitress twice where the children's meals were and she said she would check but would just carry on with something else. When the food arrived it was cold so my little girl wouldn't even eat it. It then took a further half hour for the children's desserts to arrive in which I had to ask 3 times where it was, nobody seemed to know what was going on. The manager was stood at the till having a go at a young waitress and completely ignored me. Won't be returning after this awful visit. The staff were miserable and the service was shocking.

My husband and i went here yesterday for lunch ... when we first went in it was empty we were the only ones there ... we were told we had to sit at a small table as it gets full really quick! We ordered food ... it came after a while and was luke warm... i had main New Yorker and to be honest it was a plate full of the barbecue sauce which was really thick! Usually its just a couple of spoonfuls of sauce covering your chicken, bacon and cheese! Spoilt the whole meal. Hubby had pulled pork bits on his plate that shouldnt of even been on his burger meal. By the time we left there was a man waiting to be served a pint, us and another lady waiting to pay and one women ordering drinks and meals for a family of five with one member of staff serving. Disgusting food and service!! Wont be going again. We have always gone to the one in Penarth and they are absolutely 5*!! Really disappointed.

Had a mothers day up here sunday.gone right down hill was tastless.my sons cooked dinner was still frozen an taste dreadfull my daughter had jacket potato had a job to swollow it it was so dry my mums meal she left it as it come out cold.they forgot my brothers steak on his mixed grill.this place used to be so nice but sad to say we will never return again it was just awful
