Went in today to see the new lay out and try the carvery. All I can say is that it was absolutely amazing and the best in the area. Well done to the staff at making it a great food pub. Will be back again very soon

Visited the nickelodeon this evening and chose the carvery really enjoyed it had a wide range of fresh vegetables and roast potatoes had gammon cooked perfect , all staff friendly and welcoming especially the manager danni and Anthony behind the carvery stand and Sara who made our night perfect with table service very smiley and friendly would definitely recommend to family and friends

Popped in there Sunday because we waited at another pub for almost an hour and we made the best decision. Bar Staff were very slow and then served someone else before me which I had been standing there for quite a while. Food on the Carvery was very good and quite a lot of variety just need to fill the dishes up quicker. But will definately be returning. Tables were cleaned off very quickly well done.

Had an amazing carvery this afternoon, lots of veg choices and meat was cooked perfectly (really hit and miss with beef joints at other pubs we've visited) Husband had the cod and was very happy with it. Staff are friendly, no queues at the bar and lots of table clearing as soon as customers have left. If you carry on as you've started you can't go wrong!!

Great food ,,Clean place ,great price ,staff care and give great service ,been at least 5 times in last 3 weeks and never had a bad experience,,def worth checking out

First time visiting since the change over of menus and carvery, it was a very nice carvery, plenty of fresh food, thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend anyone to try it. Nice friendly staff, extremely clean and efficient in clearing the tables so you could just relax with your drink while your mountain of food digested� a big thumbs up from us 3 that came yesterday!

Its a lovely pub to.sit.outside.on a nice day but no.enough bar staff always waiting ages and most.times only 2 staff.on and one is.takinh food orders plus beer prices are a bit expensive against other pubs prices nice pub but defoo need more staff .

We didn't realise the carvery finished at 8pm on Sunday.. my boyfriend ordered off the menu an as we wanted to eat together I didn't go up straight away..as soon as it turned 8 I was asked to get my food because they wanted to close it...beef was nice but poor selection of veg that was all dried up but cold, gravy was thin an watery with no taste..long wait at the bar to be served an at least 3 people who were after me got served before me..i now understand why there was such a rush to close the carvery, the female member of staff was waiting for a cigarette an was on full view, still in uniform, smoking at the side gate..no rush to return anytime soon.

Quick service which is always a bonus and food tasted lovely! � But... My question as soon as my meal landed on the table was : Where's the rest?! .. I'm guessing the chef followed the spec book like the bible. The portion was very disappointing. Also the music seemed over powering in the dining part of the pub.. Other than that it was good �

Bar staff are very slow and serve in a random order. New carvery is ok although not as many vegetables as other carvery pubs in the area. The staff are slow to replace foods and The server was getting frustrated as he was asking other staff to replace foods and he had to keep apologising. When we went up there was no pigs in blankets that we paid extra for, scraps of gammon left and we had to ask for roast potatoes and geavy. The carvery layout is awful as you have to walk through the food queue to get to the sauces. A better layout would have been to have the meat at the opposite end and then the sauces on the small wall at the end.

Went there today for the first time- won’t be going back. Service was extremely slow!! That’s no reflection on the blonde lady who served us- she was polite and welcoming but clearly they were very short staffed! The queue at the bar was horrendous even though the pub was fairly quiet and we’d been there over an hour before our food was brought over. Carvery was ok- roast potatoes were colourless and the huge parsnips were burnt on the outside and rock hard in the middle. Only good thing about the place is the price but will be sticking to berrybrook farm in future. Shame as this is closer to us!

Well we are returning customers and sorry to say may never come back. The staff were slow to take orders. The carvery was well chunked rather than sliced. The veg had a good selection of almost cold food (6.30pm) the roasters were not roasted .the mash was cheap packet mash. The plates were very hot. The gammon meals were burned . The chicken New Yorker was very pricey and very little to show. The bitter shandy definitely was not bitter shandy .! When we complained the person kind of shrugged it off.then offered pudding.. which came mostly wrong and again not even warm.. very disappointed won't be going there again. �

Service is slow - been a few times in the last few months and no different at different times of the day; the only variation is the queue lengths. Ordering sharer platters or any food in a time frame is pointless because it will take FOREVER to come. We've had to cancel orders in the past because they hadn't arrived in 40 minutes and the film was due to start. Plenty of other food choices on Bentley Bridge so if you don't want to wait in queues and an hour for your food I'd go else where.

Not much veg, veg pots were nearly empty, and there was no staff filling them up, carrot slices were to big and the ends were in the pots, gravy and roast potatoes were cold, potatoes need to be next to meat then the vegetables, think it may be all the doors were open and wind was blowing right though the pub.

Not liking the new pub carvery didn't look like berrybrook does more selection. Wish there was a play area too my son was bored and that doesn't usually happen when we've been to pubs. Only good thing about it was we had a good server who was lovely called Sara x

Totally disappointed. Went for an evening out to watch the football, meal drinks etc spent a fair bit of money. The game goes to extra time and they start the pub quiz !!!! ??? Mention this to bar staff who say the quiz is already running late and footballs finished ... errr no it hasn’t. Why put a pub quiz over England playing ??

Yesterday (September 1) was diabolical, so slow to get served, and confusing is an understatement, told to queue, 1 queue for drinks 1 for food orders, sounds simple but EVERYTIME we went to bar different "rules" found ourselves apologizing to other customers for being in wrong queue! Staff very polite and apologetic but this needs sorting out, I don't mind queuing but please, MAKE IT CLEARER otherwise our Saturday afternoon's outing will be elsewhere.Others we spoke to felt exactly the same, it totally spoilt a normally brilliant experience.

Compared to other carveries in the area not great me and my daughter came this afternoon firstly the turkey was hacked at we had chunks rather than sliced and the beef was very tough no way had that been cooked for 14 hours barely 14 minutes why no roast potatoes ?the vegetables where the wrong side of aldenti the raw side my daughter only eats peas and carrots why no peas?don't want mushy peas on a roast dinner now the gravy it usually coats the meat and veg it was running all over the plate, i was really looking forward to it as the food iv'e had in the past was always good but i left letdown.
