What a find this place is! Just 5 mins off the m1 & your in a beautiful village with thatched cottages & the 1st place you come across is the old coach house. From the moment we got there we were made to feel very welcome by the staff & there’s pleanty if them! Our room was cosy & lovely decor. Huge shower room & tea coffee choc biscuits & bottles of water all complementary in room. We had the Sunday roast & it was fab. Big portions & I also had sticky toffee pud. All beautiful & also breakfast was fresh & plentiful. All in all a great experience would deffo stay again my only gripe & its only a tiny one is the pillows were hard! thank you OCH
Went with the girls for ladies night and birthday celebrations! Food was good and cocktails were lovely! Staff were really nice and welcoming. I left my mobile and they locked it in the safe till I collected it! Would recommend and will go back again!
We got a great deal for one night (Saturday Night), stayed in ‘Barby’ room, (the rooms are named after local villages), Braunston is a lovely village close by, about 2.5 miles.
Thank you so much for having us! We had such a great time with our old friends (13 of us)! It was the perfect venue for our gathering and the staff were very friendly and helpful, sorry we were so loud and late to leave and thank you for putting up with us, we very much hope to come back again next year, if you'll have us. Fab rooms, great food and excellent Two Hoots :)
Stopped overnight 18/5! Delicious meal of fish and chips! Then retired to our excellent quiet room for a restful nights sleep! Breakfast to die for! The best I have ever had at any hotel over the years! Cannot praise enough! Will certainly return soon! 10/10!!
Lovely pub in a good location. The staff were wonderful and the food was great. We’ll be back.
Great Christmas Work Lunch x Tailored the package for both gluten free and vegan diets. Beautiful relaxing area with great table and bar service x Will be visiting again very soon. Thank you x
Good selection on the menu, and always excellently prepared! Friendly staff. I particularly like the the roast Pork belly (when available) - one of the best!
Excellent roast dinner today, would definitely recommend.
Excellent Nights stay. Superb Food and attentive staff without being overbearing. A beautiful warm room which was very clean and food that was second to none on our visit 30th November . We shall be back soon.
Beautiful place, superb rooms - spotless. Fantastic food for breakfast and dinner. Staff are friendly, hard working and very attentive. Would highly recommend this establishment if visiting the area.
A huge thankyou to all at the OCH for looking after nearly 40 of my friends at my birthday yesterday. All of the staff were brilliant, the food was great and the beer was lovely. We will be back for future celebrations.
Our favourite lunch venue in the area, welcoming staff, good food, great value, excellent beer, the best spritzer in the area according to my wife, and a stunning location. What more could you want?
Great place with modern rooms, drink and food, but managing to maintain the feel of a pub. Very quiet location, but just off a convenient A-road.
Good food, good beer, nice rooms, staff very tolerant of and helpful with our big group. Dinner + room deal is excellent value. Only a couple of niggles - 1. great selection of gin but a shame that it came with too much ice and the tonic already poured, thus drowning the flavour; 2. couple of glitches with the service (jugs of tapwater, complete with lemon, brought on request, but no glasses; no teaspoons to be had at breakfast); 3. shame the otherwise lovely breakfast came with no teapot (don't mind self-service, but bag-in-cup (without teaspoons) didn't fit the standard of the rest, which included nicely soft butter in little dishes)
Went with a friend for lunch. Great welcome and friendly staff.
Very small portions of food served in a dingy room with added flies. My £6.50 sandwich consisted of 1 slice of bread, 1 cherry tomato and few rocket leaves and 9 chips. My companion sent back main course (chicken linguine) as it was overlooked, dry and tasteless. The staff were very apologetic and replaced it with another choice.
What a shame - as locals we were hoping to become regulars, but sadly won't visit again or recommend, despite the friendly and helpful staff.
Nice rustic pub in a lovely little village shame about the food
You don't get what is actually on the menu
Went there for a wedding anniversary meal and was really disappointed
Expensive prices for poor quality. Won't be returning!!
Food was good, shame when we booked for Mother’s Day they didn’t inform us it was a set menu @ £27 each, with just 3 roast options, before taking a £30 deposit. Our waiter was nice though, but did leave us feeling a little disappointed-shame
Good atmosphere, food did not reflect the standard expected - raw liver, mediocre salad and dried out chicken. Shame
Expensive for shop bought foodstuffs in some instances but in fairness the dishes were all very tasty. Service was mediocre because we were eating outside (on a glorious day so why on earth wouldn’t we) we had retrieve our own cutlery, condiments, napkins and seasoning (in paper sachets the same as in Burger King or KFC). When charged the prices we were it is preposterous to offer that level of utter laziness and blatant disregard for the customers experience. Warm condiment sachets, again akin to a fast food joint, with cheap and flimsy cutlery and tracing paper napkins more at home in a greasy spoon cafe. Sorry guys but this is dreadful. We will of course come back as other experiences inside have been more conducive, but, please sort this out as I won’t be recommending the place to anyone until it is...
