Went there on my own to watch the champions league final. The locals and the owner made me feel really welcome. A fantastic and welcoming pub. Will definitely go back. Thank you so much for looking after me despite the football result!

User

We really struggled to find a suitable venue for a get together after my Dad's funeral yesterday. The Peacock turned out to be the perfect place and the family would like to thank you for helping to make a sad day so special. Faultless.

User

We had a fantastic time with our family last week.

We had the gold package buffet & there was so many delicious dishes & so much of it that Skippy couldn't jump over it....

Thank you to Jane for organizing it for us & service & staff was excellent.

We always have a great time when visiting from "The Convict Country" (Australia).

Thanks for making us feel like locals.

Kind regards Rob Dunn from,

Australian Extreme Chilli Condiments...

Very good food, and service was brilliant, they even put a birthday candle in her sponge pudding and sang along with us too. A very enjoyable evening xx

User

The Peacock is well looked after pub that always seems busy. The staff and Management are very friendly. The bar and dining area are always clean and the food is delicious and good value. You can drink on two outside areas; the front has a decking area and the rear a fantastic beer garden. Great pub, great food, great staff.

User

Simply the best urban Pub in Shrewsbury.

From a little boy with my grandads to now with my own children - it has a welcoming warmth and central to the community. I do miss the parrot though!

Excellent leadership and great for sports viewing

User

User

Rang up at short notice to see if we could get a table to be told one had became available due to a cancellation. The Sunday roast was superb. Would definitely recommend The Peacock to anybody.

User

My friends and i frequent the pub both for sunday lunch /drinks regularly. Good food good drinks and great Atmosphere . Just had a great weekend nights tout were we sat in the new Beer garden . Every one is made welcome by landlords Andy @ Jane who raise money for charitys

User

My friend and I love it here and visit quite often :) just got back from there tonight and can't fault it :) great food, great service and very friendly helpful staff :) see you all again soon ;)

User

Just had fab 16oz steak at Peacock and the wife had bacon and chicken salad. Loving the piped music too which is new for me.

See you soon.

User

Go here quite a bit and the food is spot on. Found a bit of plastic in my food witch isn't a big deal to me and accidents happen, but they straight away offered to make me a fresh new dish and refunded the entire meal for two including desert. Outstanding food, a real quality service and a genuinely welcoming place.

User

Excellent place to eat and drink and excellent atmosphere, especially when doing the Yee Haa game with the bar staff.

User

Came for a family meal yesterday evening, rather large group of us as it was my brothers 30th birthday. For a large table with lots of meals to get out, the pub was very efficient with the food. Great family atmosphere and all round fabulous evening.

User

Been here a few times the staff are always friendly and the food is a decent portion and well cooked, the manageress is particularly lovely and genuinely cares about her business and team

User

Really good atmosphere and the food was great.

User

It was great on Friday evening. A terrific atmosphere but far too hot. I would have stayed longer but I couldn't take the heat anymore.

User

Great pub, great service and great beer.

My only criticism is the lite bite fish and chips it was the smallest piece of fish more like a finger of fish not really value for money, I’d go for the larger option next time anyhow the pub beats the Charles Darwin for a great local pub!

User

Good pub grub. Value for money and very pleasant staff. I was in Shrewsbury for the Rod Stewart Concert, it was great to hear Rod's hits full blast when we walked in the door! Made to feel very welcome.
