Went Saturday for 2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £20.00. Really enjoyed it steaks were lovely and so was the wine! Quick service and the Carrot cake dessert was huge I had to take the rest home. Will definitely call again.

User

We decided to stop and have something to eat on our way home, visited the toilets - bright and clean. Then sat down and looked at the menu. All looked very good and we chose two prime steak burgers with a larger and red wine.

Service at the bar was good and our food arrived with a smile and asked if we wanted anything else - asked for sauces, then noticed that their was no kale slaw so asked and two bowls were delivered with an apology.

I just wanted to say that the service we received from all the staff we came into contact with was brilliant.

This was our first visit and we will return.

The food is always so good! Never had food that I haven’t had to cool down before eating it, which isn’t something you get in most pubs!

User

Our 1st visit today we decided to have a carvery it's gonna take a lot to beat my favourite place which is Toby but u did it meat melted in ur mouth, veggies cooked to perfection will definitely be returning

User

It's a regular place for Me, love this place, and never had a bad meal.

User

I love the Pepper Mill! The staff are really friendly and the food is good! I always feel comfortable her it's a lovely atmosphere and the prices are reasonable too

User

I go at least once per week at dinner time staff are very friendly and helpful I normally have the carvery but of late I have been having the sandwiches very tasty always clean and warm.

User

Always come here for dates with my other half and for family meals and we love it, went in today to try the new £5 menu, I had the cottage pie and my partner had the carvery (as always!) and we both loved it. Definitely my favourite local place to go, and definitely having a cottage pie again! brought a cake home too, desserts are amazing. Staff are very pleasant, always have a chat with Glen. I also like the new Tap-In rewards system, always tap my card in whenever i go. Well done as always Peppermill!

1st time here with family, nice and inviting, very clean and the staff are all very accommodating and friendly, ordered the Nachos sharer for starters it was lovely, we soon ate all the toppings and I cheekily asked the assistant if it would be possible to have some more, as we had lots of Nachos left, nothing was to much trouble, brought the plate back full and it was absolutely delicious so was every meal we had, highly recommend this lovely Restaurant and can’t wait to return next time we visit Stoke-on-Trent.

User

Second time I've been first time had a carvery which was excellent and yesterday had The Classic Chicken burger which was fi e although the chips weren't great. Staff very friendly and helpful

User

I'm quite a regular at the pepper mill friendly pub great beer garden at the front and a cold pint of fosters always goes down well food ok and the menu could be better hence 4 stars

User

The queue at the bar was really long, so we sat before ordering drinks, it took about 20mins for the queue to subside. 3 carvery's ordered, but no beef, last end of turkey and a few roast potatoes. Potatoes were bought to table but we still hard on the middle.

In my opinion the place needs upgrading, stained seats and carpet, very off putting. My dad loved it here but does not want to go back.

User

Shocked to say the least that a “meatless” Carvery is the same price as one with meat!!! £8.45 for veg is ridiculous 😡

User

Our first visit here and we had already planned our food from looking at the online menu. Initial thoughts were that the pub looked lovely, really clean and warm and inviting. The carvery meat was nice but the vegetables were a bit dry (especially the sprouts, carrots and sweetcorn). We had ordered the children's food from the children's menu which you can pay extra for starter, desert and drink which was really good value. The child's pizza came and was quite tough for my 9 year old to cut which he kept moaning about and his desert was the chocolate brownie which seemed like it had been microwaved too long which made it hard so he left that. The staff here are great, we didn't complain over the food as we were with other family members and really didn't want to make a fuss over it. Reasonably priced food and drinks and the indoor kids area kept the kids amused for a it while the adults chatted. Plenty of parking and well lit car park.

User

I had the Yeehahh burger!! Brilliant the only thing I find is that you are often let down by the sides that you provide!

The chips were very basic and didn't deliver the wow factor unfortunately!! I appreciate that these may be provided by Marston's however come on guys they spoil your beautifully cooked dish! Get cutting some spuds and blanching them and let's have a propa chip other than. That it was thoroughly enjoyed.

Brilliant and friendly staff as always!!

User

But disappointed with choice at the carvery compared to other places. Mashed potatoes cost extra which is unusual. Yorkies flat and tuff! Waitress very friendly, bar staff not to friendly at all. Very busy so must be doing something right, just not for us.

User

Awful... never again

Potatoes were full of black eyes, gravy was cold, beans were congealed, pie was, mmm well... lacking meat, need we say more

User

Well I came for a carvery in pepper mill I went to collect my food and there wasn’t much choice of what to have there wasn’t even mash who has a carvery without mash? No one. My potato was bitten of. This place is TRASH. The pudding looks amazing tho

User

Used to love this place haven’t been in about a year came today and the menu was shocking... so small hardly any choices..... only 3 things on the menu I liked and even then I have to be in the mood for it... shocking and disappointing.
