Went for lunch today (cooked dinner) it was stunning tasty and plentiful ... phewww...we are still full into the evening. Beef and chicken cooked to perfection veg was superb and a Yorkshire pudding as big as your headпњљ. Basically it was delicious we will be returning that's for sure. Thank you to The Pod staff and chef пњљпњљ

Well. This was the best food that I have had in ages. The chicken on waffles with syrup gravy was amazing. The staff was so nice and chatted to us. The knew it was my Mums birthday, just made a lovely fuss. Definitely will be coming back for brunch. Thank you for a lovely time, great Atmosphere, friendly staff and ambience was outstanding. Cannot wait to attend your theme night.

We visited the Pod yesterday and I would highly recommend. The drinks were gorgeous and all staff were welcoming, polite and accommodating. Although we did not eat, we will be returning to do so as all the food coming out of the kitchen looked outstanding! We will be back very soon!

We had a fab night at the Pod. Cocktails were gorgeous and no skimping with cheap mixers. The food was amazing and so reasonable. It had a mellow vibe so you can chat with your friends as well as have a bit of a boogie to the best tunes. Definitely be returning and recommend it for a great night in Newps.

WasnвАЩt able to book a table when I rang up as was fully booked. Arrived here on Saturday and the man on the door who was greeting people was so lovely he made sure me and my friends had a table and even made a table up for us! Also the cocktails were delicious пњљ thank you!

Sunday lunch is incredible, amazing value for money, the small plates are delicious and big portions and the Gins are fab!! Need to come in an evening when the live music is on next. Highly recommend this place, value for money and the service is great, always friendly and welcoming.

Thank you to everyone who worked in the pod today, There was a group of us came in for Sunday lunch, The staff made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough of us . It was the best Sunday lunch I ever tasted, The deserts were very delicious. The cocktails went down a treat they were very refreshing .I would say I will be definitely come back to try the other food on the menu in the week . I would recommend anyone who hasn't tried this place, you should come down and find out your self. You will love it xxx

Service was great and nothing was too much trouble. We ordered one of each of the small plates and were thrilled with all the dishes. So great to see a local business with big vision like this. Massively impressed with the quality and style that The Pod keep to. A very professional team who keep knocking it out of the park. I've had a keen interest in the direction the business would take from the start, when Krystos kindly let me into the launch night, and am delighted with every step these guys are making. Genuinely just what Newport needs. Keep up the excellent work folks :)

my favourite was blackberry & ginger ale, pricing is reasonable, although a bit expensive for bottles of wine, the bar area also served food which we didn't try as we didn't know they served food so we will book a table next time we go there.

I held a private party at The Pod for my husband's 40th birthday. The venue was a perfect choice as I love the style and decor of the bar and it was the perfect size for the function.



The whole event ran really smoothly - Jan, the head bar manager was an absolute pleasure to work with. He kept me informed with menu choices, cocktail suggestions, timings and all the costs involved prior to the event. During the day, he made sure I was happy with how everything was going and that the itinerary went as planned - a complete professional.



The food and drinks were delicious and well presented, the staff helpful and courteous and everyone commented on what a fab venue it was.



Thank you to everyone who made the event run so smoothly. I definitely recommend. Top marks!

Came for Sunday lunch, first time visiting and definately won't be the last!! Can honestly say it was the best Sunday lunch I've had (and I've been a lot of places for Sunday lunch!) Beautiful place with beautiful food. Both members of staff that served us were very friendly and polite. Can't wait to visit again пњљ

Went for lunch to celebrate our anniversary. [I have upped the score to a 3 purely because we had some money taken off the bill to make up for our poor experience, on the food alone, it would be a 2*]



We were disappointed to find that the 'small plates' menu I'd seen on Instagram wasn't being served in the daytime, only a 'brunch/lunch' menu...which sounded nice but was 90% breakfast/brunch items which we weren't really in the mood for.

We were extremely disappointed with the food we ordered (a burger and a BLT), although the saving grace was the avocado with tortillas.

There were quite a few things we didn't like about the food, mainly the odd tasting chips neither of us could eat.

I couldn't recommend this place to anyone for a meal.

The location is fabulous and on a sunny evening like last night, the view of the river and the skyline was wonderful. We had booked and were shown to our table. The service wasnвАЩt great, a bit passive aggressive, we ordered our food and it came super quick but then we were kept waiting for our drinks which we could see on the bar from where we were sat! The espresso martini was overdone in my view, almond Baileys and chocolate syrup made it something it didnвАЩt need to be. Food was good, and deserts were great. So, a bit meh, but would certainly go again for the views...
