We only have a few more tickets left for our coffee event this Monday 13th August; it promises to be a fab experience with coffee tasting, a cupping session (where you will observe the tastes and aromas of brewed coffee) and a talk from our coffee expert and local coffee roaster from whom we source our coffee!
At just £8 per ticket including two cups of our very special coffee and a slice of cake, this experience is a real bargain!

Hi Cake Lovers!
We’re busy planning our diary for the rest of the year, from our medieval re-enactment events to more coffee talks, lots of children’s October half term and Halloween activities and of course Christmas (sorry!!!) afternoon teas, Santa dates and Christmas craft sessions, but, we would love to know, what would you like to see at The Reading Rooms?

We’re really showcasing some of our gluten free products today with gluten free mint choc chip cake, gluten free carrot cake, gluten free chocolate and caramel shortcake and gluten free (and vegan!) black currant crumble! We also have home made gluten free scones available, gluten free sandwiches and gluten free paninis!!
For those of you who are not gluten free, we have our fab rose and pistachio cake, violet and blackberry cake, fruit scones, angel sparkle cake, lemon drizzle loaf, sticky toffee loaf, muffins and white caramel shortcake!

Mark will be bringing along a range of fascinating items used in his reenactments and The Reading Rooms will be providing themed food and drink along the way!

When we opened, we searched high and low for a really tasty coffee and locality was important to we found Iron and Fire, a coffee roaster based in Shrewsbury, one meeting with Kevin and his passion was infectious and his knowledge second to none!
We didn’t want to keep this all to ourselves and so many people comment on our coffee that we wanted to share our experience with you. On Saturday 1st September from 10...am to 12 Noon, Kevin, our coffee roaster will be coming along to The Reading Rooms to hold a coffee talk, imparting his impressive knowledge and explaining how to make the perfect cup of coffee!
The talk will last an hour and then all customers will have the opportunity to have two cups of coffee and a continental breakfast buffet whilst asking Kevin any questions. This is an event not to be missed! What better way to spend a Saturday morning????

Not only a wonderful cafe serving delicious food, delightful cakes and Doris making THE freshest coffee, it really is a super place for Pelsall people to get together in the book exchange.

I really like it here - it’s such a welcoming environment. You could use it to chat, read, eat, work, etc. Good for children as there’s a great play area with lots of books and toys. I’ve used it as a workspace to study; there’s plugs, WiFi, and tables with enough room for books and a laptop. Food is delicious (gluten free and dairy free options) and the ladies that run the cafe are very friendly. �

A really lovely community feel to this space! And at the same time The reading rooms feels like a very contemporary café for what is great cake and service! Add in access to books and toys that our 2 year old could make use of and you have yourself a big old tick from me!!!

A fabulous place to take my toddler twins who love books and cake!! Run by lovely ladies who have a flare for creating beautiful food, snacks and tasty drinks. I've even brought a box of goodies home! ���
