very good selection of food here its quite local so weve been a few times good size portions and some fab deserts

We have been to the Riftswood in Tamworth today a group of 25. The service has been impeccable we were all served together food flowed very well, we were all very impressed with the service and attention given by all staff however a big thank you to Will he was outstanding 5+ stars.

Warm welcome and was kept up throughout meal food was hot and didn't take long to come from ordering even through it was really busy

The food is great, there is a friendly atmosphere and lovely decor since the refurb. All of the staff are lovely too. Love having this as my local pub, it's by far the best in the area. 5 stars!

Superb service and food. Standards of food and bar have massively improved. Looking forward to the new menu which starts tomorrow. Well worth a visit and I will definitely be returning soon. Well done to the team, keep the standards up �

Since they’ve had a new manager the Riftswood has really improved. You can tell that he is an experienced manager who treats the Riftswood as his pride and joy. The staff are always willing to go the extra mile and the food is good value for money. Following their recent refurbishment, I think the pub will go from strength to strength. There is already an improvement in atmosphere and cleanliness has improved too, not to mention food quality.

I think if you’ve been before you’ll be even more impressed with the changes that have taken place!

Honestly can’t believe all of the bad reviews on here! Not usually one to write reviews, but need to defend this place �� Came for a big family meal yesterday, table of 20... food was lovely, served really quickly too! Great price for what you get and staff are super friendly and helpful! Pubs will run out of things when busy, get over it �� great pub grub, lovely garden to sit outside and the gin menu is fab ��

Had a lush mega mix grill yesterday. Cooked to how we would like. Waiter was lovely and we didn't have to wait ages for food. Good job guys ��

Since re-opening and getting themselves someone to manage the kitchen properly, Riftswood has become a nice place to eat again. Been a number of times since re-launch and every time had everything on the menu!!! Nice to have our local up and running smoothly again xxx :)

First visit since the refurb, & since we walked out due to no staff.

Much improved, nicely decorated, with new carpets, plenty of staff & good service. Menu had loads of choice & our food was served in good time & piping hot & nicely presented. Very good value.

Will definitely be returning.

FAB NEW LOOK!! Great colour scheme.. fresh clean facilities and car park.. friendly/jolly team Will and Faye served us and introduced themselves showed us the new menu and gave us a great service... food was hot and tasty drinks were fresh and on point TWO BIG THUMBS UP �

Booked a table for my sons 13th birthday for x15 people. Arrived early and the table was ready, the party all ordered separately but all the food was brought out really fast and altogether. All staff were extremely helpful especially Will who couldn’t do enough to make sure my son had a lovely birthday meal, even making sure they brought out his pudding first! Would highly recommend eating here & we will all definitely be back! Thanks for a lovely stress free night �

A lot of restaurants/takeaway services get bad reviews when people have a bad experience,fair enough but I think it’s only fair that good experiences are shared also,Had a family meal at the riftswood last night and they got everything spot on,lovely food,reasonably priced and friendly professional staff,would definitely recommend and will definitely be going again for my daughters Birthday in a few weeks x

I had a lovely gluten free meal today, Piri Piri chicken with veg, salad, chips. My elderly Mum and daughter enjoyed theirs too. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff very friendly too. Thank you. X

Waited nearly 2 hours for our meals, everyone of them was wrong when told the waitress she shrugged her shoulders and walked off, waitied 45 mins for ice cream for it to come out in a red hot dish so all the ice cream was melted before we got it

Starters were fine. Ordered steak medium rare. Could hardly eat it. Full of gristle. Two other main courses were supposed to come with onion rings but they didn’t turn up. Very disappointed.

Not impressed. Server got my parents steaks mixed up so she just swapped the plates over even though my dad had already put sauce on his not to my moms liking.she did offer to get her another one but we had been waiting a while. Mistake could of been avoided if communication in the kitchen was better.We had young children with us and their meals were bought out last at least 5 minutes after the last adult meal had come out. The chips were cold on all meals, service needs to be addressed had meals plonked down on the table no call back to ask if meals are ok not welcomming

We went yesterday (2/12/17) we spent over £75 for 4 adults and 2 children and it was the worst food we have every had there, We ordered starters and ordered garlic bread to come out with them so the kids could have a started, the garlic bread never came out until mains was served, there was no sirloin steaks left by 6pm so we all ordered burgers, burgers was missing stuff off them like sauces and onion rings, the chips looked like they had been fried to an inch of there life and was barely edible, We always use the riftswood and with family visiting from Rugby we recommended this place to eat but for the 1st time ever we had horrible food, Yes it was busy and we waited over an hour for food but we didnt expect to receive the poor standards of food that we was served last night and we all left disappointed, its unlikely we will return again

Food is yak not worth wasting your money on! Even after the refurbishment it's still the same. The chips are horrible all food tastes like it's been microwaved. Won't be going back again !
