popped in last night for the opening. I went in with a previous manager of the Shakespeare Chris and her partner nev who had it for 26 years they was very apprehensive to come in but we’re all so glad we did. welcoming atmosphere, lovely managers, amazing new lay out, warm welcoming and the transformation in general was amazing. Lovely ales and the old skittle ally was unrecognisable what a transformation. We’re looking forward to coming in and having a meal. The out back smoking area is beautiful and it opened up lovely Chris and nev was happy to see some of there old photos and some seating had been kept witch fitted in beautifully with the character of the pub We shall definitely be coming in again and recommending to others lovely addition to our amazing town

What an amazing experience the food was well worth a visit , I had the slow cooked belly pork with mash and veg, the wife had the tuna steak special new potatoes and bacon gravy.

Good choice of beers we will be back.

User

This pub has great beers and real lager the food we had was exceptional and would recommend that you all come and try it you will not be disappointed the staff & locals are very friendly the building has loads of character including outside seating area and an outside Boathouse/function room and I’m told there is live entertainment at weekends, Really loved the place Dave Jewkes & Mary Whitehouse Davis

The food was absolutely gorgeous and value for money

We were cold when we got in there and the manager suggested another table by the log fire

We have booked Sunday lunch for next week we were so impressed

User

Popped in for a bar meal on Sunday. Good food, good service, the "boat house" makes a nice dining room with big tables and plenty of space.

User

Lovely Sunday roast dinner,in fact 1 of the best iv had in a pub for a long time..the Green monkey craft lager hit the spot as well.will definitely return when i am next in Bridgenorth

User

Just had family meal couldn’t fault it very attentive, great food, huge meal. Apparently !!! the beers is very good, so I was told, wine certainly was. Would recommend and will be going again

I've only had 1 meal which I would rate as a 5☆ . I had the mixed grill . It was first rate .if you like your food this is the bb for you. Price wise maybe £2 higher than I like to pay but it was very very good . My Mrs had the gammon and said it was as good as she had . So now looking to do a Sunday lunch there

User

First time we have visited and have to say amazing pub for food and customer service.

Food was excellent and portions were plenty.

We shall certainly be returning , staff were very welcoming and efficient.

Came all the way from Chester to visit this town and as we walked up someone we stopped suggested this lovely pub to eat . The meals were excellent and nothing was too much trouble

23 of us went for a Sunday roast and it was really nice they seated us in a room across the courtyard really lovely place to have a good meal!

User

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon, lovely spot in the sun in the small courtyard. Decided to stop for dinner, lovely food, plenty of it and didn't have to wait long. Wine was also very nice and service pleasant, will deffinatly call in again when in Bridgnorth.

User

Popped in for a sandwich...I had fish fingers and my husband beef....huge sandwiches with loads of chips and salad, excellent value for money. My husband said the ale was well kept and very enjoyable 😊. Just one small criticism...the fish in the fish fingers was the minced grey fish 😦 and I wouldn't recommend it. We'll be back soon.

User

Lovely meal as expected last night, first visit to the new Joules pub, there was a wait of 30 min, it was extremely busy though and they were a chef down, they coped extremely well! Will call here again :)

User

The bar staff looked after locals ignoring the tourist which was a bit has as I was dressed in 1940. That were grumpy serving us.

BUT the food was excellent and very large portion the waiting staff were very helpful.

User

Tried this pub for the first time Saturday early evening and it looks like we encountered the same service as you guys(Janet Lamb)-paid for the food only then to be told 1/2 hour wait eventually got the food 50 minutes later-as she went to put my wife’s plate down she glanced the plate against her head ! The portion size was very good my steak&ale pie had the added bonus of a long hair in it-no one came round to ask if everything was ok and trying to get attention from the bar where they were already under staffed just seemed to much hard work so we left-Dont think I’ll rush back !
