Smartening up the Station Road entrance to the greenway (Long Marston end) with a bit of cutting back and new sign!

It's been baking like a cake down on the Greenway the past week or so, but the Volunteers and Rangers have been hard at work removing and replacing old signs.
This is part of our recent project to revamp the Greenway. There is still a lot more work to do, so keep your eyes open for more.
Thank you to our volunteers for their continued support and help!

A big huge thank you to everyone who came and took part in the Stratford Greenway Rubbish Friends (Stratford Upon Avon) litter pick today! Also thank you to the organisers Rubbish Friends who put in the effort.
Thank you all for helping keep the Greenway a beautiful place!

Coming very soon... get your tickets now!

We hear a lot about the beauty of bluebell woods at this time of year and rightly so, but there are other spring flowers that also put on a great display!

User

The grass is certainly growing now! We have given Seven Meadows Car Park it's first cut of the season. Thanks go to placement students Rob, Dylan and Anthony for their hard work!

User

Over the past week we have been busy changing the red dog waste bins for the larger green all waste bins.
Don't worry you can still dispose your dog waste bags into the green bins.

**** STRATFORD MARATHON ***
Time certainly flies! It doesn't seem a year since the Stratford Marathon last took place, but so it is.
The 2017 Marathon takes place on Sunday 7 May. Please be aware that the greenway will be extremely busy on that day as the marathon passes through.
... If you are one of the brave souls taking part we wish you the very best of luck and have our fingers crossed for clement weather!
Do feel free to share some pictures of the event with us if you do go along as a spectator too!
Good luck!

It is well worth visiting the Stratford Greenway in the next week or so if you are a a fan of blossom! The blackthorn is at its best right now, but it won't last long!

Great cycle way for children. My 9 and 7 year old loved it. Beautiful scenery, flat route and children liked having a picnic half way. Little railway carriage cafe handy. We got ice creams and cold drinks. Very friendly welcoming chap in the cafe. Good parking too £3 for the day.

User

Great bacon butty :)

User

Fantastic walk. But really need some toilets that you don't have to pay a fortune to use. They are for cafe customers only so either have to buy something or pay 50p. Most expensive wees I have ever had!

User

Absolutely beautiful, stunning views for wonderful walks and long bikes rides.

User

...but then I would wouldnt I!! Come and say hi to us at the cycle hire

User

This is such a nice place for a long walk or bike ride, especially if you enjoy wild garlic. You can even hire a bicycle or tandem for the day! It is very secluded and there is a lack of signposts so it's probably best not to go alone.

User

Perfect route for cycling with children - 5.5 mikes each way, flat, no traffic & beautiful countryside.

The gent who runs the cafe carriage at the Long Marston end is super-friendly which is more than can be said for the lady who runs the cafe carriage at the Stratford end. Apparently our purchase of two drinks and two packets of crisps didn’t constitute ‘food and drink’ so she asked us to move off her picnic table. Might I add, there wasn’t another customer in sight. My advice is to get your refreshments from the lovely chap in the other carriage!

Otherwise a great way to spend a few hours.

User

Nice 5-6 mile flat cycle/walk run and the same back, shame its not longer, the train carriages/bike hire and cafe are brill! Well worth a visit, £3 parking all day, theres a nice park walk from the trail into town

User

Lovely safe place for little cyclists, but really could use some toilets not linked to the cafe's.

User

User
