Had called in after a visit to garden centre with the wife Just wanted a small meal

We were asked where we would like to sit place chosen and drink ordered and delivered in less then 5 min

Meal ordered from £5 menu fish chips and peas order taken and delivered to us by a very polite and friendly young lad

We then ordered our sweet again served by the same young lad who asked if everything was ok with our meal

And drinks .Wish I had taken lads name couldnt praise him enough Could not fault anything with food or service

Will definitely come again and recommend to anyone

Called in mid Saturday afternoon for late lunch, had open chicken sandwich from £5 menu, huge plate full with chips great value for money, staff friendly and helpful. A shame there’s no Beefeater nearer to home but will look out for them on our travels

User

We haven't been here for about 18 months as we got fed up with bad service and food not cooked right we called in yesterday new chef fantastic he new how to cook a steak food hot plate warm fantastic hope this carries on service was slow even though not many in had to call a waitress to take our order fed up with waiting so did a few more people but at last a good meal the lady chef is fantastic we used to ask if she was cooking before going now they have another good chef we will go more

User

Was a very busy night. We were advised there was an hour wait but we were shown to a table after about 20 mins. The Rib Eye Steak was beautifully cooked but I think the extra £3.99 for an up grade to a surf and turf was a bit steep. We got 3 prawns!!!!!

User

The food was good but the service was so slow. Had to go towards the bar or a staff member to get a drink and it was really quiet....approx 7 tables.

User

Quality time with family Food was excellent even if it was not as stated the substitute was just as good Desert was also good but charging 50p extra for an extra miniscal pot of custard is not only mean but small minded Especially when you have spent over £70 and it was "Fathers day"

User

Called in after visiting the Christmas barn, we we welcomed by Lisa who showed us to a table we then asked if we could be moved to a more comfortable one, no problem at all. We ordered the 10oz rump steaks medium when they came they were well done but as soon as we mentioned it our plates were removed and a new meal came shortly after, the steak was really good so worth the wait. Found the majority of staff very friendly but Lisa went out of her way to ensure we were happy with our meal.

User

Main meal was lovely. Cooked properly and served on hot plates. Seriously understaffed. 2 & 1/2 hours for two course meal. Luckily we had lots to talk about. Manager needs to sort staffing. If due to illness that you were understaffed, tell the punters! We are very understanding but to just leave us to it was really unacceptable.

User

It's a tough one this is as the food is usually good but always let down by the service yes I will eat there again but I know I'll have to wait for a table the food will take ages to arrive but its usually good once it arrives unlimited drinks are a good thing if you can get the staffs attention for a refill

User

Food was spot on but the service was atrocious, the young staff have bo idea, that if kids get restless they're a nightmare, mine included, so when I asked the waiter as he was clearing our table if I could order 2 kids desserts, he told me to wait until he cleared the table. Try telling that to a4 and 7 year old?? And as there were only 22 diners including my party of 6, and me spend 15 years in bar and restaurant trade, I feel this was highly unexceptale

User

Well we were 2nd thro the door. Still waiting on food even tho 7 tables served before us. 2 forks had food remnants on even tho put on our table fresh..... when it arrived my salad was given salad cream even tho i didnt want it. The guy in the kitchen was less hygenic than a 3 year old in a mud kitchen! I complaimed to management who said "That shouldnt happen. And sorry!" First and last visit to there.

Having given this place a miss for the past 12 months, we decided to give it another go. Big mistake. Service is very poor.

2x starters were delivered wrong. For mains they’d run out of rump steak. When the mains came, they forgot the side order. When I mentioned this I saw the discussion take place between the waiter and the manager, and it became obvious they hadn’t been ordered (not that anyone came to seen us and advise us of this) We then finished our meal and the waiter then delivered the onion rings, this was after they’d been sat on the counter for at least 7 minutes. I sent them back and then they left us with dirty plates on our table for a further 10 minutes.

Desserts sat on top of the counter with the ice cream melting for at least 5 minutes. No spoons when our dessert was delivered and a waiter getting side tracked with another customer. My husbands dessert came and had to be sent back as it was wrong, so the rest of the party had finished their pudding when my husbands did eventually arrive.

Overall bad from start to finish. Food was mediocre. We went for a birthday meal, wished we hadn’t bothered. We won’t be going back to this restaurant again.

Arrived at 6-50pm to what was a quiet restaurant. Stood for a while waiting to be seated. We were given a menu and left to it. We must of waited 15 mins before someone came to take order. The girl didn't even write it down. We then had to wait ages for our drinks to arrive. When they did my husbands taste and smelt like chloride. He had to go up to the bar himself to get a different drink. I could see that our starter was on the pass for ages before it was bought to us at this point it was Luke warm and dry. We hadn't even finished chewing the last bit before our mains were bought to us. There was no condiments on the table and so the waitress went to get some only to get side tracked, so husband got his own.

No a brilliant meal and service was poor.

After a 2.5yr avoidance of the Three Fish due to previous poor experiences we decided to return and give it another try....What was meant to be a celebratory family tea after a glowing parents evening for our twins turned into a poor show of what should be very simple food! A long wait for 2 childrens starters... One of which when it arrived was a sad piece of soggy garlic bread with 3 strips of cucumber and the other supposedly chicken meatballs, 3 strips of cucumber & bbq sauce....The meatballs were inedible! Dry chewy and bore no resemblance to any meat we've ever seen. They were swapped for more soggy garlic bread. A further wait for our main courses, no salad on the children's chicken burger, no corn on the cob with the other plain dry burger served with anaemic greasy skinny fries! I'd 'upgraded' to sweet potato fries... They arrived floppy, soggy and undercooked as well as being a teeny portion. Burger was just about passable but served with dry tasteless coleslaw I had to mix Mayo with to give it any flavour! No one checked on us whilst eating and I pointed out my under cooked fries when plates were cleared, waitress showed the manager and he came over and agreed they weren't cooked and knocked of my meal off from the bill. We were given free deserts but our bill was still £37 for a catalogue of poor quality food!!! Not the celebration we were hoping for. How hard is it to serve decent burger and chips?? Apparently really hard if our visit was anything to go by!

User

Visited last night for my mother in laws birthday. On arriving we were taken to the wrong table..! Drink service was OK but the food service was lacking. The sharing platter was well over cooked so much that the Kofta's were to hard to cut let alone chew. Took a further 15 minutes to get these replaced. Main course was OK. Desserts, when eventually served, we're dire..! The ice cream on the brownie was completely melted and more ice cream was brought over.. The Rocky Road Sundae was delivered with cream all down the side of the glass and all the Ice Cream was either melted or just ice.. The waiter apologised staying they have issues with the freezers and the ice cream is melting..! DO DONT SERVE IT THEN... We have been several times and no matter how busy they are there just doesn't seem to be enough staff..! I was quite fed up when we eventually left.. Come on Beefeater, you can do better than this..!

User

Turned up Friday at 17.20, got sat down and asked what we wanted to drink.

Drinks never arrived even after 30mins.

Spoke to the person that seemed in charge asking why is it they are standing around with no interaction with customers what so ever he clearly had no answer with onlookers agreeing.

You guys really need to get your act together I'm not prepared to wait for 30mins when then the place is dead for 2 cokes and a fruit shoot!

I can guarentee the food would take twice as long.

I live 5 minutes away and I won't be going back.

Either the staff don't care if they haven't been trained well enough.

User

Ordered a Rib Eye at just short of £19 45 to 50 mins later when it arrived it looked like a bit of scragg end . I asked for it medium rare and it came cremated. My partners meal came without the Poached egg which was promised would then follow but it didn’t arrive .

When I pointed out my steak to the manager it was taken away and I was left with nothing until my partner finished her meal . All in all shocking food and worse service .

Sent a complaint to Beefeater on their web page but nobody came back to me .

Will not be going back

User

I will never visit this place ever again! Attended a family birthday meal & had a main course & a dessert. Ordered the lobster double stacked burger & triple cooked chips followed by a chocolate churros sundae. The main course arrived where the burger & chips were luke warm, sent this back, returned & burger was slightly warmer however chips not hot at all, found the burger had major gristle in it & battered lobster was dry! Had the sundae which is £5-29!! Not worth the money!! Had a very small piece of brownie at base of glass, not served as described on menu, not a lot of flavour & churros were like cardboard & stale!!

Disgusting food, when I complained had the main meal off the bill but you could tell that the staff didn’t care! Avoid if I was you!! 😬

User

3 uncooked pieces of chicken on 3 separate meals! Raw in the middle! It was the first time we’d ever been and we won’t be returning. We walked in and ordered our drinks at our table. We waited over 15 mins and still no drinks. No one at the bar ordering drinks and only a couple of other people eating. We had to go and get someone to do our drinks for us because it turned out that no one was doing them. Then we ordered 3 chicken meals, each one was barely even warm and raw in the middle!!! They offered to cook us some more chicken which we refused. The service here is terrible and the food is even worse. The waitresses even agreed with us that we shouldn’t have had to wait as long as we did for our drinks and that the food was a disgrace. The manager was told about the ordeal and absolutely nothing came from it, not even offered a discount on our drinks bill.
