Went for a meal for my daughters 30th birthday last night & have a fabulous time, we were in the function room & the set up was fab, food was served quickly & the staff were very attentive, the singing when bringing her cake out was a lovely touch, thanks to all for helping make the night �

I booked a birthday meal for my Mums 60th for last night and it was great, the staff were brilliant and accommodating (particularly the man who was on hand to help, I think his name was Dave), and the food was great! We had a lovely time, would recommend ���

First time we have visited the Wayfarer, it was a midway point for a meet up of 4 adults, one child and one babe in arms. Easy to find, lots of parking and a nice spacious table for us. No problem finding room for the car seat. Food was lovely, between us we had burgers, a Sunday carvery and the chicken & leek pie, plus desserts. All were lovely, really tasty and we didn’t wait for long. Environment was nice, comfortable decor and there are baby changing facilities in the disabled loo. Our waiter was Tom who was really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much hassle.

Only tiny downside was that it was incredibly warm! In fairness it was very humid outside so I’m sure this contributed, and obviously you wouldn’t want to be cold when eating but a little air would have been mucjly appreciated. Certainly wouldn’t put us off going again though, really enjoyable experience.

Excellent choices for veggies, recommend the vegetarian deli sharing platter and the creamy leek crepes. Server Dave was friendly and attentive. A pleasure to dine at The Wayfarer tonight. Good value for money. Thank you very much.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the gins.... amazing! Not so happy with the bar for post dinner drinks. The language of some people and the actions were just terrible. Come on this is a decent venue, bar staff should be on top of this and ask people to leave if they are drunk!! Didn't let it ruin our evening but disappointed that this behaviour should be allowed in a venue like this.

Came for my friends hen meal the other night. Food was amazing!!! Taste sensation! I would recommend the chicken pie!! Love the modern decor of the place too- very cosy! Drinks are pretty expensive though! We had the board room booked out for the evening which was great! Nice and private! Will be back!

Having been many times I have to say I was disappointed the service was very slow we sat down at 6-45 and it wasn't very busy our starters came around 30 mins later, it was about 8-30 that our mains came, everyone one was happy with there meals apart from myself, I had the Liver and I felt it wasn't cooked and luke warm they did replace it but to be honest it didn't seem much better apart from it being hot !! 4 times I asked for water for the table !! By the end of the night it was very busy and not enough staff and they seemed to be having big problems with the card machines having no signal in certain areas of the restaurant, 3 times before my card would go through and then the waiter disappeared so he could get a signal, I wasn't happy about my card going for walkies !!!

Food is dressed nicely but the taste is very poor and this is the 5th time I have been and it’s the same every time. Given a choice I wouldn’t book here but due to it being a work function I have to attend.

I booked a table at the Wayfarer 7pm for my wife, 19 year old daughter and myself to celebrate my birthday on Sunday, 3rd June. We were in a party mood, and looking forward to drinking several cocktails with our meal. Unfortunately,my daughter had forgotten to bring her ID, and as the Wayfarer operate a very strict policy on not serving under age even in the restaurant. The party came to a crashing halt, but unperturbed we ordered extra cocktails so she could share. However, the Deputy Manager then approached the table and took two cocktails away because the staff had witnessed her drinking them.

It is understandable that underage drinking is controlled, but surely a bit of common sense could have been put into action in this restaurant situation. A family celebration has been totally ruined, and we left the restaurant very unhappy. This is not what the hospitality industry should be about.
