What can I say. Here right now and it's the best pub in Birmingham for the selection of Ale. The atmosphere is great, the staff are warm and friendly. All in all, a good place to chill and as i drink Ale, even better.

The Wellington is an outstanding real ale pub near the Birmingham shopping area, New Street Station and Birmingham Cathedral. There are up to 20 hand-pumped real ales available at all times, all well-kept and fresh. There's flat screen screen next to the bar where you can see the current selection (including ABV, beer style and price per pint), and if you're in doubt you can always ask the knowledgeable and friendly bar staff. A place like this will always attract loyal customers, so don't be surprised to see many familiar faces.



The Wellington does not offer any food (except nibbles), but you're free to bring your own and eat it there! On the upper floor you will find an (partially covered) outside area so you can have a smoke/vape with your ale. It also has its own, smaller bar, but that one is open only at certain peak times. Beer prices aren't the cheapest in Birmingham, but the quality and selection are outstanding indeed.

My go to pub in the City great choice of real ale ,ciders and whiskey proper pub good atmosphere great staff my favourite ale there is Pig on the wall but always stuck for choice.

Great pub with amazing choice of ales and whiskies! Staff is always lovely and accommodating.

Some wonderful events are organised there: cheese night, quiz night, folk night and everyday is a real ale night! �

Great choice of beers and a characterful building. Good service too

Great beer friendly and comfortable AND they actively encourage ordering a takeaway for delivery - even provide plates n cutlery - I’ll be back!
