Wilderness Explorers at Bodenham on a fantastic Friday!! Making, playing, socialising, cooking & exploring!! Roll on next Friday!! 👍🏻

Just sat down, so its post writing time! Today was great! 16 children for Thursday Holiday Club and we had a fab time! Up to the small pool for pond dipping first and we were very successful with our catches! Lots and lots of newtlets (I’ve never seen so many) and they were big, almost ready to leave the pool for a life on land! 🦎 Diving beetles, back swimmers, and dragonfly lavae, were easy to find as well. ... Next it was into Forest School to discover getting muddy in the mud kitchen, crafty making dutch arrows, natural art forest critters, charcoal pencils and lots of cooking on the fire. Toast, brioche, marshmallow smores and finally pancakes!! What a feast!! 😜 Finally, it was down to the stream for a spot of stream damming, mud sliding, clay ball bombing and generally getting as muddy and wet possible!! 🤣 So here are todays photos, hope you laugh at them as much as i did! Are your children as tired as we are??? 😳😁 Thank you to Sarah and Rachel for all their help again today! See you soon everyone. Love Helen. 😊🐞🌿

Ok, I’m trying to catch up on my holiday sessions posts. So this is for yesterday, Wednesday 22nd, Wilderness Explorers! What a busy day! Lots of happy faces and laughter! 😂 We cooked toast and brioche on the fire, and made hapazome leaf prints🌿, spider webs🕸, elder and clay necklaces and dens. We even managed to find a toad! 🐸 Here are our happy photos, enjoy!! See you all soon, Helen. Xx

Amazing Birthday party at Forest School with Harry’s friends & family! Cooked sausages, marshmallows, built dens, mud pies, fire lightening & much more!! 🌲🌳🌲🌳

Fantastic day at Wilderness Explorers today, Explorer Eddie the Teddie needed some help finding all of his friends & a mystery!! All of their porridge had been eaten !! With help we found all the teddies, made bugs & animals, played in the mud kitchen and ate lashings of toast, pancakes & Eddies 🍯 honey!! See you soon Sarah xx

Well, what a busy day we’ve had at Thursday Holiday Club Forest School!! After our usual ‘get to know each other’ we spent the first hour at the small pond doing a spot of pond dipping! 🐸 We caught diving beetles, newtlets, back swimmers, water fleas and dragonfly lavae to name but a few! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many newtlets caught in one session! 🦎 Then it was down to Forest school for some more fun! Cooking toast and welsh cakes on the fire (and no, I didn’t burn ...them, contrary to popular opinion!!!🙄), making dutch arrows, cones beasts, tree cookies, dens and bird feeders! After lunch, it was down to the stream for a little clay bank sliding, stream damning, clay bomb and tree guardian making and generally getting as mucky and wet as possible!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Oh what a fun day......I’m shattered!!😁 Thank you to Sarah and Rachel for all your help. Hi everyone! Sorry this post is later than expected this evening but I don’t think I’ve sat down yet!! 😁 Another great day with the Wilderness Explorers at The World Outside Forest School. 👍🏻 We had 2 full sessions today and everyone had loads of fun making crazy cone creatures and bird feeders, as well as building dens, bug hunting 🕷🐞, playing in the mud kitchen 🥣, having fun on the swings and zip wire, as well as cooking toast 🍞 and chocolate chip brioche rolls on the campfire🔥! (Actually, the choc brioche seemed to go down better with the adults!!😉) The rain stayed away and as you can see from the photos, we had loads of fun! What an amazing party my 6 year old son had last week. So much fun in the outdoors bring able to explore. My 3 year old son loved cooking his own sausage and toasting his marshmallow. Thank you so much Sandra for making this birthday a one to remember

What a wonderful 5th birthday party my son had on Sunday! Sandra had been so professional from my very first enquiry, responding quickly and keeping me informed all the way. The children had a great time building dens and roasting sausages and marshmallows. Even the parents enjoyed themselves, although it's hard not to in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you Sandra and Sarah for helping us make such wonderful memories!

We had our sons birthday party here. He absolutely loved it. Said it was the best party he has ever had. Sandra was amazing and everyone had a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We had our daughters 7th birthday party with Sandra and loved it! There's no better party if you're looking for stress free, Sandra and the forest look after everything! It was pouring with rain but that didn't dampen the spirits or Sandra or the party guests - they didn't want to leave! Thank you �

We had a lovely morning yesterday, making our reindeers. The kids loved being able to help use the tools and get muddy in the forest and it was a lovely christmassy day to suit the older children too.

We had a gruffalo themed birthday party here yesterday and it didn’t disappoint. Sandra was amazing with the kids and considering their ages ranged from 2-5 years she did a wonderful job of keeping them amused. They got to explore the woods, make mud pies, make gruffalo characters out of clay and the best bit was cooking sausages and roasting marshmallows on the fire. A lovely morning and a very happy birthday girl! Thank you!

But even my 10 year old daughter who is girly and doesn't like getting dirty love it also. All the kids had a fab time and can't thank you enough x

Thank you Sandra. Madeleine thoroughly enjoyed her 5th birthday party with you! Playing in the dens, making faerie wands, sausages on sticks, smores and they still found the mud kitchen the most entertaining! Especially serving it to the adults!! We'll be back - and I'll be keeping an eye out for spaces in your Beavers group!

Sandra is amazing! My son had his 8th birthday party recently and it was so wonderful to see the children to be free to explore and have fun! All of the kids said it was the best party they had ever been too! Sandra is so welcoming, warm and kind and always ensures she knows all the children's names and involves them in the running of the session. Wonderful!

My twin daughters have had the best 6th birthday party today with Jess at forest school... Great communication, Brilliantly organised, exciting & fun activities, highly recommended! Thanks again �

My boys go to forest school with my child minder and love it so we decided to have a forest school party for my sons 3rd birthday and what a fab time we had, Sandra does a fabulous job and everyone at the party really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.

KD9 Beavers had a fantastic evening with Sandra at Bodenham Arboretum last night. She had all 24 children and leaders/helpers hooked from the start. Sandra knew exactly how to engage with children and get them involved and excited with mini beast hunting and pond dipping. Everything was well planned and managed even with such a large group. The Beavers managed to find quite a few species and Sandra was then able to explain what they were and show them what they grow into. Even the leaders learnt new things and no one fell in!

Thank you Sandra, it was brilliant evening and we will be back again. xx

Been to forest school today with my 10 year old & 2.5 yr old and we've had a fab time! Highly recommended..lots of fun activities and great ideas to take home..loved it!

Autism West Midlands visited with a group of families recently and had a fantastic time! Sandra was brilliant at remembering all of the childrens names, getting to know them and putting everyone at ease. We all (children and adults!) had loads of fun and there was a good range of activities - something for everyone! We'll definitely be back again :)

A wonderful two hours outside - fire lighting, making toast on the open fire, den building, sawing of wood and use of hammers to make snails, making of bracelets and much more. My two boys loved the whole experience and are desperate for another visit! Thank you Sandra!
