Lovely day for my birthday..... Rasul mud treatment was absolutely the fab. The only thing I would say, they need to stop people leaving towels on the beds when going to treatments and lunch, it isn’t fair in people coming in and using the pool.

User

Overall was a lovely experience. We went on a Saturday and was very busy, they really need to sort the beds around the pool out better. We couldn’t get one due to selfish people leaving towels on them all day and never actually using them? Treatments were amazing! Lunch was lovely however, the restaurant is not exclusive to the spa therefore you feel so awkward eating in your robes whilst joe public roll in and sit next to you? Very strange.

A good visit none the less

User

Me and two of my friends visited this spa yesturday. As we are all Beauty Therapists ourselves we don't often get to be on the flip side of it all, but I have to say we had a lovely day.

We were booked in for the pick n' mix package which included 3 treatments. My treatments lasted 60 minutes including changing and showering time. I feel they could be longer, though I understand the therapists probably have a lot booked into their columns. Massage and body scrub was wonderful and I recieved a client card to recommend products and further treatments for myself. Only suggestion I would say is a better scalp massage, I felt she was just moving my hair around and not my scalp. Also train the girls to use identical methods of treatment - only because it doesn't look great to clients discussing treatments afterwards.

My therapist was lovely and didn't chat during the treatments which is perfect for me. I was very relaxed!

We then had a laugh and a chill in the pods for a while. They are great! The changing rooms were clean and tidy, would be nice if there was some body lotions or hand creams available in the bathroom as well as soap. Lockers were secure too. The pool itself was clean, though the ceiling is mouldy. There was a sign outside of the pool saying they were carrying out maintainance so maybe they are going to fix that too? Steam room brilliant, sauna and salt room wasn't working.

Lunch was nice, we were seated eventually, given a drinks menu and the waiter was prompt to take our orders. After that none of the staff seemed bothered. Drinks did arrive before the food and the lunch itself was very nice, I had the mac n' cheese which I would recommend. Would be nice to get a drink thrown in with the package! Had a bit of a disapointment with my desert (not incuded in the price) the cheesecake was grainy and the base soggy (bad case of a soggy bottom - Paul would not have been impressed ) so sent it back. Waiter took it with no arguements and did not charge. Overall it was a nice little restuarant with a view of the canal and the bellinis were good!! Staff in the restaurant need a few fires lit up their backsides however.

We spent the rest of our day chilling by the pool. Was not impressed by the towels on deck chairs - all of them had been taken and there was only one person in the pool? I really think there needs to be a member of staff keeping an eye out and a sign or something telling people they can't leave towels. In the end we did move some. Pool itself nice, water a bit cloudy but I suspect its from people's treatments, such as the body scrub.

There is shampoo and conditioner in the showers which is lovely and the shower was lovely and hot! They also provide hairdryers and straighteners in the changing rooms for ladies. There is a big mirror for anyone wanting to redo their make-up too.

Overall I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend!

User

We visited the spa yesterday. This was a very much needed day out for me and my husband after the arrival of our second child. We arrived to be greeted and had a show around. The changing rooms were clean however the pool was cold the club itself was cold and I struggled getting warm all day. The treatments were great and the lady I had was very attentive. I enjoyed the salt room and the relaxation pods. However because I spent the whole day cold we did end our experience sooner than expected. The lunch was the worse part. The food was fine but just fine but for what we paid it was completely acceptable. The service however was appalling. Working in the business ourselves we found many faults that to the untrained eye would still be obvious. Old dirty food and dishes were stacked at the front of the pass so waiters were having to reach over them to get the fresh food. It took ages to be seated, then it took ages to have our drinks order to be taken. The food then was brought out and I had to point out that we're still waiting for drinks in which they said they had been done but he was waiting for someone else to bring them over! We eventually got our drinks it then took ages for the table to be cleared and then ages to give us a desert menu. The waiters kept looking at us then doing something else, we wanted a hot drink and a desert it but we get so impatient we just walked across to a till to pay. We explained we weren't happy with the lack of service in which the waiter said he was just about to come to us. He was the one who looked at us about 5 times and ignored our gestures. Would not recommend the restaurant at all and has put us off going to the steak house. For what we paid for the overall experience was adequate however if it was any more expensive or we paid full price I would be very unhappy. Will try somewhere else next time.

User

Staff were lovely, very pleasant and friendly.. however.. first thing that hit us was how cold the place was.. like shivering cold.. the pool area was a little warmer.. and obviously the sauna warmed us slightly. Definitely not enough beds around the pool.. and people left towels on the empty beds whilst off having treatments.. so others were having stand around or find somewhere else to go even though no one was actually on a bed. The treatments were lovely however my girl had a cold.. (no wonder with the temp of the place) she was really struggling sniffing and had to leave the room to blow her nose a few times.. (not the ideal scenario) though she did keep apologizing LUNCH. Good choice on menu. We ordered extra side dishes at the time of choosing but it wasn't explained at the time that we had to pay for them at the lunch itself.. we assumed it would be settle up at the end on checkout.. having gone to lunch in our robes obviously we didn't have any payment means on us and had to run back down to the lockers for it.. we noticed everyone doing this who were in robes. Maybe a better explanation would have helped. Also our meal was booked for 1.30. You would have thought our meals would have been ready being pre booked but it was 1.55 when they arrived, therefore cold in robes, drinking water, I'm just glad I ordered a warm meal. Oh and a bit of fabric softener in the robes was would help too..

Lovely pretty place a birthday celebration surprise for me. Booked into a full body massage.

Use of the facilities firstly not disability friendly at all my sister has knee and mobility problems when requested a lift to get up to lunch we were ushered into a service lift on exit we were presented with the back of the kitchen very cluttered. Then into resturant for lunch it was rather cold in here staff all very friendly up here.

Coffee facilities not working so then had to go upstairs again then to pay nearly 3x the amount....

Massage...

Room freezing cold my young lady who was delivering my treatment seemed very inexperienced she missed areas hardly touched my skin despite being told numerous occasions the room was cold and I was freezing noting was done. She apologised she was very sweet not her fault. At the end my sister in law came out of the room next door very toastie and warm and relaxed whilst I dithered. The other beauty therapist S.A. oh yeah that heating is broke in that room it is cold isn't it....

NOTHING DONE AS COMPENSATION.

Salt Room not working either.

Such a shame I feel bad for complaining as this was a birthday present however I don't feel it is fair that Theclubandspa can continue to expect people to pay their prices with such poor attention to detail. Question is will they be held accountable for their lack of customer satisfaction? Do they actually care?

User

Lovely place and treatment but we were really annoyed the treatment was cut short because we were being shown around and had forms to fill in which made us late. They told us to be there 15 minutes before hand which we were so lost a third of our treatment time through no fault of our own

User

I visited today for a spa day. On arrival we were asked to wait for robes. Paid our deposit and went back to reception 30 minutes after to be told there were no robes available. We got our £10 back but were only given one towel each to use all day. We had to get dressed to go and eat and some of the food we ordered was not available. The staff weren’t very friendly until a lovely lady took us for our rasul treatment and asked us how our day was. She gave us another towel and was very helpful. The whole place needs some tlc. The loungers by the pool were awful and there were no instructions or advice on what the different saunas were and the showers by the pool were too hot. Not the great day we expected!!

User

my friend and I had a spa day here. We are both disabled and found the spa anything but disabled friendly. all the relaxation areas have chairs and beds that are really low and if I laid on them I would not be able to get up. The pool was too cold to be enjoyed. None of the spa was warm enough despite the numerous heaters around. To get to lunch we had to use the 'staff' lift. It was actually a service lift and had lots of rubbish that needed to be cleared out the way so we could get out. Despite pre-ordering our lunch and being the only people in the restaurant we had to wait 40 minutes. The treatments were good but we didn't feel there was anywhere accessible enough to relax afterwards so just went home. Such a shame that in this day and age people who are not 100% able are still not being catered for.

User

The staff were very friendly and helpful however the spa was covered in mould, it was so cold it had us shivering in our dressing gowns and the food portions could be compared to a children’s happy meal!

User

The place is nice, but it was quite dirty in parts. We didn’t get to relax as much as possible as details of our treatments were not fully explained. This result in lost/rushed treatments. We explained the situation and sadly there just wasn’t adequate response. We were given £10 back each! 🤣

I didn’t bother to follow this up because I thought it was an insult. The least could have been a free treatment or refund of the actual treatment itself.

I got the impression that customers are churned daily and the personal touch and experience has been lost

User

Went a week ago the spa pool looked lovly till u went in was freezing cold been to better spa days the treatments were lovly cant fault the spa girls not enough loungers by the pool either

User

Such terrible customer service received from the spa. We have visited several times in the past and returned for an anniversary treat almost 2 weeks ago. Upon arrival we were told that due to staff illness my treatment time needed to be changed, but only by 15 minutes we were told. We explained we couldn't stay late as we needed to get back to our young child over and hours drive away. After a little confusion (I was put down for the wrong massage) I received an excellent massage and went to wait in the waiting room for my second treatment which I was led to believe at the start was going to be on time. I waited over half an hour and eventually had to convince a therapist to find out what was happening. She returned to tell me my treatment has been put back by 1hr 15mins. I went to reception and was told the same, my therapist was doing another treatment elsewhere so I would have to wait over and hour. Nobody had even bothered to come and tell me. I explained I couldn't wait because of having to get back to my daughter and I was told that If I emailed the Manager Janine Yousef the following day I would get a refund. 2 emails and 3 voicemails later I have still not heard anything. I even phoned the club yesterday and spoke to a young man and even still I have heard nothing. It's so so disappointing; unless I receive at least a refund quickly I shall never return and will advise my friends and family the same. It's such a shame as we have enjoyed our time there in the past. Please can someone phone me to sort this out.

User

Paid £110 for a 2hr treatment of body massage and facial. They started late. Massage was mediocre, typical college-taught massage, playing with the ‘knots’ lol - did not de-stress me at all. Worst experience ever with an ELEMIS facial. Products are so highly perfumed my skin reacted and started stinging pretty quickly. I asked to stop the treatment, so I could go and assess the damage: red and blotchy skin. So all in all £110 down the drain and me even more stressed than I was before.

User

Myself and two friends finally got to go after spending weeks trying to contact them and get a response. Arrived to rude staff that bad I asked what the extra eye treatment was to be told well I'm from the gym so you need to use common sense it goes on your eyes. Felt the whole place was slightly grubby if I'm honest and also agree with feeling cold comments lunch was lovely but it was freezing in the restaurant. I need to add I have a thyroid problem and I am very rarely cold so for me to feel cold it must have been bad. The treatment staff were lovely. I wouldn't return if I'm honest.

User

I visited the spa on 3rd jan, i paid to upgrade my treatments a few weeks before my visit, which i did not receive. I have been told many times that i will get a refund. Its now the 1st feb and i still haven’t received a refund! Customer service is appalling.

User

I have no idea what this "club and spa" is actually like due to not even getting as far as making a booking! I purchased a Wowcher deal for my girlfriend and I and have called every day since to arrange a booking. The phone rings out to voicemail everytime. I have left several messages, sent emails and messaged on Facebook. I then eventually received a reply (via email) asking about our booking details. I replied explaining our needs and yet again, no reply. Our day is now ruined as it's too short notice to book anywhere else! Terrible service and I have no idea how they are still open let alone making money. Do not waste your time with this place and Wowcher should be advised to remove them from their promotions!

User

Had a deep tissue massage and pedicure bought for me by my wife for my birthday yesterday. The facilities seemed ok although not the cleanest or best managed facility iv been to. However, very very disappointed with my treatments as I was given a trainee or new starter who obviously didn’t have the relevant skill or experience to do either treatments. At one point I asked how long she’d been doing this job and she said 1 week! Although she was polite and nice to talk to, she missed parts of my body when doing the massage and hardly used any force. It was more of a rough all over moisturising session than a deep tissue massage. How very very disappointed I was but I didn’t have the heart to complain to her or her boss at the time. It got worse when I went for my pedicure as the girl obviously didn’t know the treatment process so tried to copy the girl next to us who was giving my wife a pedicure and was doing it very well. I was left with some washed feet but that was about it. I left there very deflated and disappointed and have slept on it since but I’m beginning to get more infuriated about paying all that money and not getting what I paid for. I will be speaking to the manager if I can find a way of complaining.

User

I have left several messages, sent emails and messaged on Facebook. I then eventually received a reply (via email) asking about our booking details. I replied explaining our needs and yet again, no reply. Our day is now ruined as it's too short notice to book anywhere else! Terrible service and I have no idea how they are still open let alone making money. Do not waste your time with this place and Wowcher should be advised to remove them from their promotions!

Went a week ago the spa pool looked lovly till u went in was freezing cold been to better spa days the treatments were lovly cant fault the spa girls not enough loungers by the pool either

I visited the spa on 3rd jan, i paid to upgrade my treatments a few weeks before my visit, which i did not receive. I have been told many times that i will get a refund. Its now the 1st feb and i still haven’t received a refund! Customer service is appalling.
