second visit , waiting time wasn't bad 10 mins wait as we went around 6.30 pm food is good ,we wanted one dish mild which was done starters came first all was very tasty ordered different mocktails all were nice , the mains did take a little longer but i assume due to having a function upstairs it was abit busy , the waiter that served us was very attentive an did come an ask if all is ok which i thought was polite ,overall good atmosphere

Went down first time yesterday from Manchester. Loved the food. I am a food guru so know what tastes good. Excellent service. Reasonably priced. Very busy (obviously due to quality and service).Beats the Nawaab and curry mile by far.

Went a couple of months back with my family. We were welcomed in a nice clean and warm environment. It was busy but was called within 30 mins. We ordered our food and it was very tasty the sultani chops were very good. Shout out to staff member Hashim who looked after us making sure if we were ok and if we needed anything else. Thank you! Desserts were also well presented and actually tasted very yummy! Good quality ingredients. We will surely recommend this place and would visit again in future.

I love the food. It is always piping hot and fresh. The portions are big in my opinion and are really cheap for the quality and quantity.



The staff is helpful, however they always seem understaffed. I haven’t had to wait for a long time for service but I tend to go during less busy times. The parking seems quite small for a restaurant for so many people. The exterior and the interior look super posh!

We went as a large party of 32 and had a fabulous time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our main waiter, Jamil was really friendly and well organised. Would definitely recommend.

The curries are on point ! Only restaurant in Birmingham that makes mouth watering authentic curries full of flavour depth and aroma! Omg the chicken jalfrezi was mind blowing and their naans are like no other. However the waiters are letting them down. Especially the short Asian guy ...eyebrows done a little camp. He swore in front of us to another waiter ...totally off putting. Very lazy and full of attitude. Get rid

The portion size are small for the price - the Murgh Karai was adequate - Naans were nice and hot - Place for nice - price wise it is abit dear - Great Service.

It was ok just the curry and one starter was a bit on the cold side.

I was impressed with the set out and interior of the restaurant however the lack of seating in the waiting area is appalling, especially with how long you have to wait. The restaurant itself is nice but standing in a cramped area for 45 minutes ruins the experience.

Huge disappointment- I heard alot about Tipu Sultan and then finally had time to go there and check it out since I live 2 hours away. Where did it go wrong? The waiter has no skills pushing out orders. Food came at the wrong time. Who wants main with the starters altogther? The chana chart was dry the food overall was average, nothing masjestic about it. It was my birthday as well and we asked the waiter if he has a small box to give half of the cake away to family, the response was dead. To the owers to Tipu Sultan I recommend that you go to a Turkish restaurant in Chesham goes by the name Village something....THAT'S what you call food!! Overall the environment is somewhat majestic, only !

First time at this restaurant for staff leaving do. The food took ages to get to the table, and when we finally get our meal it was too spicy to eat, there's no choice of mild, medium, or hot to order for food. I ordered a chicken jalfrezi, it was too hot to eat, would have preferred it mild, so I could enjoyed my meal. In the end only ate half of my meal. The decoration of the restaurant is welcoming. Parking was ridiculous, had to park too far away. On the whole we all had a great night out!

Decor beautiful food was ok but the chicken wasn't chicken breast meat in the curry it was tiny peieces of chicken leg which didn't taste good most bog standard curry houses use chicken breast so I expected better , this has put me off returning �

Food was good but the waitering staff were incompetent , managers on shift were unhelpful. Recommend if you want a bad experience and its only a Monday!

Went there today all the way from newcastle, we had 16 people we waited 45 mins to be seated which we were expecting. We sat down at the table which was really tight. Then we ordered our food and starters came within 10 mins but we had no drinks as the service was this slow and also poppadoms came after the starters too. We had to ask about 4 different members of staff for our drinks by which time we had finished our starters and were told by each one that we had to wait as only the bar staff could get our drinks. Surely somebody could have sped up the process! Very bad service and experience, wouldnt go back again!

We ordered food here via Deliveroo last night. We had to wait 2 hours for the food to arrive despite speaking to the restaurant on 3 occasions (who were incredibly unhelpful and even suggested that it wasn’t their fault that the food hadn’t arrived), and when it did finally turn up everything was cold and one of the curries was covered with so much grease it was indelible. Given the vast competition in the local area I’m shocked a business can provide such a pathetic service. Unless your planning on a midnight feast at 9pm I’d avoid this place like the plague

The food was not prepared properly they got the starters wrong and our main dishes were not cooked we had to send back 3 times!!!! And they they were out of the dessert we wanted was the worst experience iv had in a restaurant and we will not be going back!!!!

Absolutely disgraceful service!!!!!! If there was an option for selecting zero stars, then thats what I would have given.

We were made to wait an hour for a table and in all fairness I didn’t have an issue with this as it was quite busy. I was there with my husband and baby and we placed our order and drinks. 15 minutes went by and no drinks. We then spoke to the waiter who then brought the drinks 5 minutes later. Another 10 minutes went by and the families sitting either side who sat at the same time as us, were now receiving their main course and we still hadn’t received our starters after 30 minutes of waiting. We then spoke to the waiter who said he would chase up straight away. Another 15 minutes passed and still no starters or food arrived. We spoke to the waiter again - this was now getting embarrassing!! Finally after 1 hour of waiting and no food arriving we had enough and decided to leave!! The families either side of us were extremely embarrassed as they had actually finished their meal and we were leaving having waited a total of 2 hours without a single morsel of food being served or eaten. The waiter didn’t even apologise and frankly couldn’t care less!!! My husband spoke to the person in charge who apologised but couldn’t offer an explanation as to what went wrong. We had our 4 month baby with us and we explained the urgency from the outset which didn’t make a shred of difference. I have now told all of my family, friends and colleagues to boycott this place because they don’t give a dang about their customers!! All style but no substance - don’t be fooled by the grand decor because that’s all you’re going to get!!
