Table for four. The main meal and sweet was perfect. The staff were really nice and helpful, the front of house staff, bar staff, waiters, chefs, all of them. This is by far the best place to eat in Walsall. If you’ve never been, you should try it....you won’t be disappointed. You WILL leave feeling very ‘stuffed’, however!! Thank you all for a very pleasant experience.

We had a lovely meal, staff friendly, good veggie/vegan option,had difficulty trying to contact them by phone as phone lines were down, but emailed them and received prompt reply, all 20 of us happy�

Visited on 25th April, it was 50% off main meal and as you can imagine it was very busy, we waited around 50 minutes for a table but staff were honest from arriving it would be a while and due to the promotion we understood, on being seated at our table it was easy going from then on, que for food was not long and food was hot and very tasty as always. I have had problems with service in the past here but they surpassed themselves this time and on a very busy night too. Well done 😀

It's not the best Toby I've been to. We went yesterday for Mothers day. The carvery was nice and I really enjoyed it but the desserts were disappointing and not like the description on the menu.

I had to ask "Where is the lobster in this lobster and prawn cocktail?" "I'll go and find out!" replied the waiter. He came back sometime later wirh a small bowl of lobster bits to add to everyones dish! My fiancé had to ask for the toast that was supposed to be served wirh the pate. The soup was not as advertised on the Christmas menu and the 'home made bread' looked deceptively like ordinary white sliced bread!

I know it was busy but this was surely a massive failure in quality control.

We thought we were eating in a kindergarden cafe, there are far to many children running around the pub while people are carrying very hot meals to there tables, parents need to keep there children from stop running around or better still the management should take control and set a few pub rules !! The food wasn't that good also, the roasts were the worst ive had there for a few years, there were more lumps in the gravy then a heard of camels, it was only the mash that was ok. Sort it out management !!!!!!

Really enjoyed our meal yesterday, good value for money, food was lovely and huge portions (non of us managed to finish what was on our plates even sharing with a toddler) and staff where extremely friendly and helpful apeshly considering it was lunch time bank holiday monday and they where rushed off their feet, we will see you soon! Thank you!



Only complaint is if you drink alcohol the prices are rather steap! 1 glass of white whine was over a fiver x

Came for a birthday meal at lunch time yesterday

Was disappointed with my meal food wasnt very hot staff filling food dishes up had no finess what so ever just throw food onto dishes

I asked for turkey i was served 2 slices of turkey which was wafer thin.



So overall wasnt a good birthday experience

Nothing like your advert on a wonderful roast dinner

a disgusting meal, the meat cut so thinly it had no taste. Vegetables not particularly hot. We were crammed in like sardines. The worst carvery I have ever experienced. Will never go again.

Visited Toby Carvery we arrived at 14.40pm we ordered 2 drinks one refillable Pepsi max and one guiness we were then seated went into the cue for food which took approx 10 mins which is fully acceptable , returned to out table at approx 15.05pm and started to eat our food it wasn't till we nearly finished our meals that we asked for a second time were our drinks were they then went off to find out and came back 5 mins later to inform us they had no guiness so just didn't bring any of our drinks or bother to inform us this is appauling for reputable pub , we we then waited atter food for a further 20 mins for someone to come over and asked if we wanted anything else ((desserts)) then went away then took 5 mins to find a dessert menu , after giving us the menu it took a further 15/20 mins to ask us what we wanted at this point we had had enough and decided after giving the benefit of the doubt twice that it was time to leave we asked for the bill which took a further 5 mins approx all together we were there a hour and a half just for one meal carvery no drink or desserts or nothing ..... this is a absolute joke we did usually come here every week won't be back again soon !!!!

Very bad cold food and flies buzzing about the meat counter and fattie meat I did let them know it was cold and they blamed the gravy did get offered some hot veg to take home but I wanted it with my dinner but the staff were nice and polite won't be going back �

This was a shit experience I went to get my food from the carvery my food was just thrown on the plate no care , the man cutting the meat was so sloppy! Meat was falling on the table and he put it on my plate not the best food I've eaten neither think you need to recheck your chefs there shit!

If I could give no stars I would!! Toby Carvery used to be my favourite place to eat. Until Monday. I was actually throwing up as soon as I ate the turkey (which was very slimy after looking at it properly). The veg tastes like frozen £1 bag you get from Asda! The mash potato is no longer potato it’s just mash! Tasteless... both myself and partner have been being sick since we ate there on Monday. I made a complaint online as soon as we realised the food had made us ill. (Which was the same day) still haven’t received a reply. I wasn’t going to leave a bad review but for ignoring my complaint, here you go! Disgusting service!

I use to love coming here but I don’t know what’s happens I booked a table for 8 ppl was trying to phone them for 3days with no answer I’m sure good customer service should be a key skill to keep customers returning I arrived here to be told it’s a 45min/1hr wait even tho a table was booked it’s disgusting how staff talk down to u as tho u being there is making there job hard for them I left and took my money elsewhere and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made !!!!!

I loved coming here and never had a bad experience until Monday went to the toby for the 2 for £10 offer food was lovely as always but when I asked for the bill showed the waiter my offer bar code for him to say it didn’t work, tried again and didn’t work, to then be told ‘oh I’ve took a pound off both your deserts’ Asked to see a manager said he was the floor manager, didn’t know what the hell he was doing paid £31 pound for 2 carverys 2 very small ice creams and 2 glasses of coke, VILE customer service
