I love the all you can eat breakfasts, especially the Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The price is very good and it is always busy. Well done to the hard working chefs and staff.

Honestly, every time we come here we receive absolutely top notch, speedy service and there is always a friendly vibe from the staff members who are all very personable. They clearly recognise some of their regulars and you can see and hear some brilliant interactions between patrons and staff. The food is always wonderful too- on our latest trip me and my partner ordered the Yorkie wrap and a carvery sandwich, both were out of this world! This place is one of our go too spots when we go out to eat ��

This was my first visit today. Very pleasant staff and the manager couldn't do enough for us. The starters were fantastic, and after we had the carvery we nearly didn't have room for dessert, which were very nice. Good value for money and I would definitely go again.

My heart goes out to the staff, very understaffed today, very apologetic young lady who has been there barely a week, had to wait a little bit for food due to the understaffing problem, but didn't really care bout it, chef looked ready to have a meltdown with the abuse he was having to deal with, food as all tobys are was spot on, don't understand where the ignorant or arrogant staff were today....

What an experience! Never coming here again. Definitely would NOT recommend. First we were greeted by a really obnoxious girl who asked us if we had booked. When we said no she sighed loudly. How dare we just turn up! She sent us to a table which was dirty and not been cleaned very well at all. The waitress came over and she was lovely... that was the only good thing. We ordered drinks and went to queue for our food. The queue was quite long so we had to wait about half an hour... half way down and the meat cutter was saying they had run out of yorkshire puddings. When customers asked how long they would be he did not know and said that they would be brought to the table. What is the point in having your yorkshire puds after your meal? We didn't see any come out of the kitchen. They then ran out of gammon (which obviously did not bother me being vegetarian). The next thing to run out was the veg and roast potatoes. We decided to leave at that point as what is the point of a roast dinner with only carrots and gravy!!!

We went to the woolpack where we had a really nice meal. If they carry on like this they will go bankrupt. Do they not know who pay their wages? If you want good food and jolly helpful friendly staff... do not go to the Toby Carvery in Shawbirch!!!

Well after getting seated by a lovely waitress we were very disappointed went to get the food Yorkshire puddings were harder than a stone! To then be told there was no turkey, when asked if there will be any more a VERY! Rude chef said not till 6:30 did you not listen when you rung up" (we just turned up so didn't ring) and the beef sorry can't even call it beef it was just fat! Was awful! Then my partner asked the manger if there was an alternative to the turkey as he didn't eat any of the other meats (not that he was missing out on much) the manager read off the vegetarian option followed by "I'm trying my best here!" However she did redeem herself by offering a 20% discount on our meal but I'm sorry I shall not be returning. And as for the old chef really needs some classes in people skills!

We are regular Toby Carvery visitors to our local one in Bournemouth. We even go there for Christmas Day each year . This one is such a bad representation on the company. We were away for the weekend and booked for Easter Sunday. Two of my three daughters only eat Yorkshire puddings and stuffing. The Yorkshire puddings were the smallest ive ever seen. They were smaller than profiteroles. We asked the chef if they could have a couple as that’s all they eat and he said no. We usually give them ours too but I was so upset that they literally had one mini yorkshire pudding and some dry stuffing I didn’t bother getting a carvery in the end. None of the other ones I’ve visited have ever had a problem giving little children an extra Yorkshire pudding when you are paying nearly £5 plus a drink and that’s all they eat 😡 what a miserable man!!

Was here last Sunday afternoon. It wasn’t particularly busy. We walked up to the sign that says ‘please wait to be seated’ and stood around waiting for over 5 minutes whilst 3/4 members of staff walked around ignoring we were waiting. They were ‘busy looking busy’. So, we decided to grab a table ourselves.

Just as we sat down a waitress told us we could not sit where we wanted, and to go back and wait at the front - even though there was lots free tables! After another wait finally another waitress appeared with a face like a slapped arse and took us to the same table we wanted to sit at before! And it didn’t get any better..

The waitress took our drinks order and said she would return with 2 glasses for the unlimited refills.... We then went up to the carvery. After a 15 minute wait - the chef was very slow and didn’t know how to cut meat - we were served by him.

No ‘hello’, just ‘what meat do u want?’ I chose turkey and beef. WARNING do not eat the beef. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was 90% fat with blobs of blood in it! Disgusting!

The Yorkshire puddings were rock solid and the veg was dry and bland, never mind the plate being red hot! They obviously don’t care about health and safety.

We sat back on our table... no drinks surprise! I went to the bar and asked where our drinks were and the member of staff said ‘oh these must be them’ great customer service.

Most of the staff were so miserable and just didn’t want to be there. Cheer up! However there was one nice waitress with blonde hair who smiled and thanked us for our custom at the end.

Would never go back.

Visited Toby carvery Telford on Friday night. Service was very slow, even though it was quiet. Staff were too busy making themselves look busy rather than serve. We ordered our food after chasing the waitress, we waited a whole hour before I questioned where the starters were only to be told they didn’t have what we ordered. 3 of us then got our food but my daughters food didn’t come, she is a type 1 diabetic, when I went to the carvery section and explained the delay of the starters and that my daughter had injected for her food needing to eat something the chef I spoke to was rude and obnoxious and argued with me over a Yorkshire pudding! The food was ok, just ok. The carvery utensils/plates were so HOT you couldn’t dish up your food without burning your hand. We were very disappointed with the whole experience, clear to say you’ve lost our custom.
