“For Babies who Love to Learn using their Whole Body and all their Senses”
For a fun, interactive weekly play session that you and your baby will both enjoy come and join us at Discovery Tots.
Here, we introduce a whole range of activities and techniques to help you and your baby get more out of your play times in ways that are not onlybeneficial for baby’s development, but also lots of fun.
... The programme recognises that babies learn with their whole body and all their senses, and each 40 minute class is filled with lots of different experiences to stimulate, delight and encourage development in a relaxed, loving and fun environment.
Even at such a young age a structured playtime, which the classes provide, helps a child to feel secure, giving the confidence to explore, learn and grow, making development more rapid and learning more fun. It is also a great place to start building social skills, first by watching and later through interaction with the other babies.

🧡🐵💙 Tots Play is all about building relationships and bonds. Bonding with our tots can be instant or take time, sometimes weeks and even months. Both are totally normal. One of the most magical parts of my job is supporting mums and dads with ideas to strengthen the bonds with their little one during the very early weeks, months and years through massage, yoga, sensory play and early communication.
So here are just some of the ways that bonds between our tots and their paren...ts and grandparents grow at Tots Play classes;
💕 Massage releases the feel good love hormone Oxytocin, in both infant and adult. Massage is also a time where you can tune into each other through the sense of touch and non- verbal communication and cues.
💕 Playing sensory games to help your tots development. Play is time spent talking or babbling together and time spent making eye contact in games like ‘peek- a- boo’ and our signature tunes like ‘Hide Away’.
💕 Dancing and practising yoga with your little one relieves both adult and infant stress and again releases feel good hormones. ‘Twirling All Around’ and swinging in ‘Pop Goes the Weasel’ (to name just a few) are seriously fun activities where many a giggle can be heard.
💕 Making funny faces at each other in our ‘Little Green Frogs’ song helps to make each other smile and laugh. Eventually babies may show you how much they like this activity by copying their grown up or providing you with some funny facial expressions of their own, for you to copy back to them.
💕 Singing and signing is great fun and it’s the start of early communication between baby and their care giver.
💕 Dedicated time away from visitors or every day distractions is just perfect for that 1:1 bonding.
