Thank you so much to a lovely lady called Sophie who helped my sister and I pick some plants for our Mum’s grave today. It was very emotional and we were clueless as Mum was the gardener in the family but Sophie was so lovely - she went with our brief of purple, pretty and hardy and even planted them up for us in a pot we had chosen. She made a very hard task much easier and enabled us to take the pot straight up the cemetery where it looks lovely - Mum would have approved. Thanks so much again.

User

I absolutely love to come down here. I love the gardens, shops and restaurants. Staff always available to help and everywhere immaculate. Thanks for the Blue Diamond discount card which made my day after saving twenty pound off my shopping. Love coming here for my special gifts and plants.

User

Great place to visit. We had a fabulous breakfast in the Garden Centre Restaurant followed by a walk round the shops. Superb choice of shops and the Garden Centre has everything you could want. You also have option to walk around the gardens or have a meal in a variety of Restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Finally the staff in the Garden Centre Restaurant were very polite, helpful and efficient.

User

A lovely couple of hours of walking round and having a good look. Brought a lot of plants, but will definitely coming back to buy some more

User

We visit here quite often with our grandchildren as we all love a walk around the beautiful lake and as they are only 4 and 2 years old they are able to ride their bikes which is helpful as we can walk a bit quicker so that's our exercise done for the day.The children like to feed the ducks and really enjoy the play area,we like to stroll around the shops and the garden centre and stop off in one of the cafe's for a coffee,in summer we take a picnic, there is so much to do and see, although we do think the shops and garden centre are a little expensive but that won't put us off going as we have got a season ticket and will probably get another for next year when it runs out.

User

I've been visiting Trentham Gardens since I was a young child. Used love the little train and spent many summer days at the beautiful Art Deco swimming pool area. Now I'm considerably older but I still enjoy visiting to wander around the shops. We buy lots of plants from the garden centre, yesterday we bought spring bulbs- lots of variety, healthy looking bulbs and even a couple of money saving offers. Always try to get a seat for a coffee and cake in the coffee shop.

I was in two minds as to whether to write this review. Firstly was because last time i did i unfortunately became the target of trolling and had to block someone. Im the end i deleted the review as a result. However i felt today i should review again. My original review was around the lack of gf options to eat in the garden centre. I was advised this was being revisited by the centre manager however nothing has changed if not worse. I love looking around the garden centre and shops and some external cafes do provide gf options however the garden centre is lacking. When i visit i like to stay for a few hours so having lunch is a must when i have a child aswell. Today when visiting i was advised there were no jacket potatoes, no gf bread, no salads and no cake options. I could only have crisps. There used to be so much more options. Just a shame. I won't stop visiting but i think the garden centre side could do with relooking at this to avoid losing business. Again i love the place it's just a shame.

User

I do really love it here. The gardens are glorious. The shops are varied. I agree with the comments about the garden cafes. The coffee was good. But not much choice for snacks. There was some sandwiches but crikey the price was very high. Had a teacake but it was flat like a pancake and really horrid. Loved the fairys and sculptures. So many lovely flowers. Many shops had sales so maybe they were struggling. But all in all we had a lovely day. And we will be back.

User

Didn’t eat there, only had coffee. Very nice Americano, but my mocha had not been mixed at all. There was a chocolate sludge at the bottom.

User

Went yesterday - Cafe was really busy - even at 3pm. After quite a wait, I finally got served, but once I’d sat down, we didn’t have to wait long till Order came, I noticed that I’d Ordered the wrong Brownie Cake for my Hubby🙄, young waitress was so obliging even offering to swap it for me - as busy as she was, but we settled with what was Ordered.

User

I visited 6'/2/18 there is a few more shops there but on a cold winters day it makes me wonder how the shops manage to stay open. Only seen about 20 people around the shops the garden center caffe was so expensive too. one thin slice of apple pie nearly £5.00 and i mean thin no bigger than a mars bar and two cups of tea doubled that. We seen candles in one shop for £9.99 with the same brand for £1.49 at aldi

User

Went for a cup of tea and a natter with friends. Service shocking and it wasn't busy. Cups dirty and milk was off. Had a desert but by the time I got to sit down and eat it it was stone cold. Very poor. Wouldn't want to go when busy

User

It was a very enjoyable few hours at trentham gardens , my daughter bought a few items of clothing for her son n we had coffee in cafe davids n later pizza in the Italian restaurant x

User

Can not understand how my very nice jacket and chicken curry, costs the same as a jacket and baked beans, neither do the staff!

User

Visited today and called in the cafe inside garden centre.Absolutely disgusted!! Ordered a pot of tea for 2 and teacake for 2.The pot of tea came with 1 teabag, hence was like dishwater it was that weak!! Tea cakes were stone cold and butter almost frozen, hence unable to spread at all.Cost me over £11 so expect much higher quality for that price!!

When I went over to the assistant she wasn't in the least bit bothered and asked if I wanted more water in the teapot!! As if !!! She did apologise but not really good enough as you expect to get what you pay for (eg, top quality for top whack prices).very disappointed, will not be visiting again and certainly would not recommend to anyone!! In addition, the table we sat at was only cleared away as the drinks etc were brought to us!! Clearly an inefficient, poor quality service.

Thankyou

I do not expect a reply as it's clear that the only comments are thanks for the positive reviews!!

It was my first visit to the Garden Centre, a visit organised by my daughter for me as I recover from major spinal operation.

Since it was 12 o’clock, we decided to eat in the 6 Arches restaurant, and selected 2 steak pies, 1 jacket potato and 1 salmon for our main courses. There was a 10 minute wait for the salmon as it was “freshly cooked”.

Since there was this delay for the salmon, we decided that the 3 should eat straight away.

When my husband and son-in-law started to eat their pies, they were cold, as was the cauliflower cheese, cabbage, broccoli. The carrots and potatoes were the only items on their plate that were warm.

They complained to a member of staff and were served replacement meals from the carvery, and the cash difference refunded. The meat on their plate and the veg were also cold. When my salmon arrived, the vegetables were cold, and the salmon steak was raw in the middle.

We drew the attention of this to a cashier, who called the Assistant Manager who apologised, removed the cold plates and refunded our money for the inedible food.

We could not understand how cold food could be served at midday, and obviously the Chef does not know how to check that fish is cooked properly. In addition, he should understand the risk of food poisoning, including Salmonella, when serving undercooked fish.

For a busy restaurant on a hot day, we do not see how the “hot” food on offer is not kept hot.

We will not be eating in this restaurant again and would not recommend this to anyone else.
