ŌÜĮ 'Come on France!' ŌÜĮ
England may be out of the World Cup but our monkeys are very much supporting France in the final. Not only are we a French-owned company, we also have parks in France, and half of our monkeys here at Trentham are from one of these parks. ŌÜĮ

Went with my girls aged 11 and 7 plus my nieces of similar ages. All of the children enjoyed the visit and so did all three adults. We took a packed lunch and ate in the car before we went in as we were told it was a half day out. For the price and the experience of how close those gorgeous little monkeys get it is well worth a trip! Also don't forget any profits go towards taking care of the endangered species of monkey ’┐Į The cafe is similarly priced to somewhere like Costa for a brew and slice of cake and food is in line with that. The gift shop is well stocked and has small gifts from a couple of pound up to 60 pound gifts so it's up to you what you choose to spend.

User

Went today for the first time as only heard of it 3wk ago and i have to say i think it was reasonably priced you came up close to some of the 140 monkeys and my 17 yr old whos mad on monkeys it made her day the place is well kept and the areas the monkeys have is fantastic n nice to see theres staff all around and there very informatve and anything you need or want isnt too much bother theyhave feeding times you can watch also theres parks for the younger ones we had a bite to eat n a drink n might i add the tropical slush is a must lol theres also a picnic area a cinema show n a giftshop which we bought a few treats to take home just got to prize my child away.... alltogether we spent 3 an a half hours there n would love to visit again deffinatly reccomended x

We were down visiting from Scotland and had never been to anywhere like this before. I loved seeing them roaming free and enjoying the sunshine yesterday. All I would say is change into older comfortable trainers as the paths are dusty and a little uneven and a steep incline at one point but that didnŌĆÖt put us off. It would be nice if you could put pictures up of the groups as my daughter has sight problems and found it hard at times to see them all especially when in the trees. But I have to say it was a great day out and would definitely come again

User

We had a fantastic day out! me and four children ranging from 1-10 in ages both parks were great for both ages. Caf├® prices were a bit steep but we had taken a picnic so didn't bother us! we did buy ice creams that were fairly average in cost. We loved the monkeys and would definatly come again!

The lady who ran the wildlife stall was brilliant with my children and spent a good half an hour if not longer teaching them and filling them with wildlife info which they loved! Only criticism would be that the "big park" could be sign posted a bit better as I spoke to some people near the end of our visit and they weren't even aware there were 2 play areas!

Overall a brilliant day had by all

User

Visted yesterday with my partner and 23month old son. Dont take any notice of the 1* reviews on here they're just people expecting a day out for ┬Ż5 ridiculous. We spent about 40 minutes in the monkey enclosure itself had a wonder round and spectated feeding time. We then left went into the cafe for some food and to relax out of the sun. My son loved the play areas even though hes only young he played for hours.

I think in total we were there for 4 hours, admittedly didn't revisit the monkey enclosure as the sun was really beaming down all day or we probably would've gone into Trentham gardens and came back in. You can get your hand stamped and come back in if you choose. Honesty dont get what people expect when going to these places, for the 3 of us, food from the cafe and a guide was ┬Ż8 per hour we spent there...

The staff were friendly and informative all throughout the estate and for people to say they felt they were shunted to the side and felt opressed they're clearly just lefties looking for something to moan about. The staff were great!

Visited yesterday. Last visited around 10 years ago. It was a really enjoyable experience to walk around the forest watching the monkeys go about their business. I could have sat their all day observing them. They are relaxed and content. The youngsters playing in the trees were a joy to watch. ItŌĆÖs great to see animals close up in such natural surroundings. Better than a zoo enclosure. ItŌĆÖs a great way to spend a few hours. A lovely setting. I wish more captive animals in the Uk lived in such splendour. Well done to all involved. You should be proud of your achievements here.

User

Visited today with my mum and 6 year old son. What a fantastic experience being so close to these wonderful animals. The woodland they live in is beautiful. We found the food and drink not too expensive (no more expensive than our local garden centre) and entrance price very reasonable. Will definitely be visiting again

User

Visited here today 19th July having found a leaflet whilst on holiday. What can I say it's very reasonable in price in fact I would have expected to pay more. The upkeep and care of the monkies is brilliant. I would definitely come here again and will recommend it to all my friends and family.

User

Took my grandchildren yesterday ages 15 and 8 they loved it we spent time ready all the information boards. Feeding time and talks we found very informative. My granddaughter loved watching the baby's and watching the cheeky squirrels taking the food and the monkey's wasn't at all bothered. Then time for lunch and play time on the park plus Easter egg hunt. Then of to the Trentham village for some retail therapy. Great day had by all

User

This was my 3rd visit to the park. In the past I have visited with my sister and nieces but this was the first visit with my own children. We loved it as much as I did the first time. ItŌĆÖs always a wonderful day out especially when the sun is shining.

User

Our first visit here and loved it. It was lovely to see the monkeys so close up and obviously healthy and happy. Staff were lovely and very knowledgable. Only downside for us was that the shop merchandise was super expensive. We had my niece from Australia with us who wanted a souvenir but they were extremely pricy. Otherwise a really enjoyable visit.

User

Omg. If you are like me, enjoy a coke a cake a walk and monkeys so close you can almost touch them(although you can't), then this is an amazing experience you need to go to. Add to that the friendly staff and friendlier squirrels and it adds up to a wonderfully fun day out that you will treasure. Loved it

User

Lovely afternoon out with my 2 girls - 10 and 14. We all loved it. We took a picnic and ate before we went in. We dawdled our way around absolutely enchanted by the antics of the adorable monkeys. We stood watching babies swinging and jumping around in a bush for about 20 mins! The feeding time talk was fab - very informative without being boring. The ranger giving the talk was very friendly and approachable- as were all the staff we met. We spent about 2 hours in the forest. We didn't use any other facilities, but drinks seemed reasonably priced at the cabin. Will come back. ’┐Į

User

It was our first ever visit to the monkey forest today for our daughters birthday,I would like to say what a beautiful place to visit,to watch the monkeys so happy well looked after by the staff, and just to see them running free around the forest like it should be will definitely be back soon carry on with all the hard work you all put in there at monkey forest xxx

User

Despite what other reviewers have said, we found it to be a wonderful VFM afternoon we were there 3 Hours taking advantage of an Egg Trail as well as the input from the Friendly Rangers imparting monkey knowledge as you went round and during feeding..

Really where else can a child get so up close to free roaming creatures in as near to a natural habitat as this.

Three Hot Meals and Drinks were under ┬Ż20 which I think is very fair in a location like this and the shop had pocket money toys up with the cheapest cuddly monkey with magnetic clasping hands at ┬Ż2.90 what more could one ask.

Lovely friendly young adults working on site.

User

Been years ago, nice to return to a great family attraction. Everywhere is immaculate with the staff ensuring everywhere is clean & visitors are informed of rules, monkey behaviour & feeding times. Admission & cafe prices are very reasonable with picnic areas for when you want to bring your own food & drink. Good job monkey forest, wouldn't hesitate to recommend. ’┐Į’┐Į

What does a 61 year old, a 47 year old and a 23 year old do to celebrate a successful degree show?

Go to see the monkeys of course!

Our morning at Monkey forest had us grinning from the moment we walked into the grounds, when I spied my favourite birds, crows, jackdaws, magpies and a brief flash of a jay ! The only thing that topped it was the close quarters of the monkeys and the discreet attentions of the guides and staff.

Being disabled the up hill parts of the site was pretty heavy going for me, but with the use of the frequent benches and the leisurely atmosphere, I managed to get round without too much trouble.

The only reason I am giving a 4/5 for two reasons.

The first is that although there are two baby changing facilities, the one and only disabled toilet is used as one. I had to stand for almost 20 minutes to get to use the toilet, only to find that the family who had used it as baby changing had left the floor and toilet seat soaking wet tissue all over the place!

Fortunately my daughter was with me and she was able to clean it up, for both myself and those after me to use.

The second was the lack of souvenirs for grown ups. Everything other than a few key rings was for children. I am sure that some adult sized T-shirts would be just as popular as the children's sizes. My partner, a monkey fanatic was certainly disappointed and the couple stood next to us were also looking for adult sizes.

User

The place itself is lovely, if a little on the small side. Entrance fees are ok especially compared to some other places, but the cafe prices are extortionate! Something that seriously needs looking at in my opinion, and from reading other reviews, I'm not alone in that. I spent more feeding me and the kids than I did getting in to the place! Luckily the kids enjoyed it anyway and it was a lovely day out with friends. Would I go again? Maybe. Would I eat there again? Definitely not!

User

Loved the Monkey Forest, and the whole concept, the three children with us, (11, 10 and 2) loved it too. But, thought that to have to pay the full price into the gardens was extortionate, and a real deterrent for families. Having already spent ┬Ż40+ for a family outing, really discriminatory. Poorer families donŌĆÖt stand a chance.
