🐴 The ponies get a visit from the Dentist! 🐴
Horses and ponies need to see a Dentist just like we do, to make sure their teeth are nice and healthy. They can't call the dentist themselves though, so we do it for them! Here is retired pony Spider-Man who will be 30 in August, having his teeth checked out by Sophie the vet. She said his teeth look very good for his age!

The sun is out this morning and Mrs Quackers and her ducklings are enjoying their breakfast... 🌞
Don't forget it's Free Child Entry on weekdays until the 19th July! (Max. 2 free children per paying adult.)

What's your name? Lucy
What's your role at Umberslade? I get to do a little bit of everything on the farm which keeps me on my toes! I mainly run visitor programme during the week and I also run our Social Media pages. I also like to get creative on the farm and have previously built our Spooky Barn and decorated for Christmas.
... Favourite activity? Definitely calf feeding as the calves are super cute!
Favourite animal(s)? Goats! I don't think anyone on the farm loves the goats as much as me! Dave the Billy Goat definitely has a special place in my heart.
What's the best thing about working at Umberslade? I think the best thing about working at Umberslade is getting to work with a wide variety of livestock and meeting lots of different people every day. I also feel very lucky to work in such beautiful surroundings, rain or shine!

... Favourite activity? I like doing tractor rides because I love driving the tractor and ferret racing because I'm competitive!
Favourite animal(s)? Bertie Buttons the rabbit and any new lambs we have on the farm.
What's the best thing about working at Umberslade? I love the drive into work down the beautiful driveway and I love seeing our visitors enjoying their day out. I love my job here because every day is different!

Umberslade is home to 4 very big horses indeed! 🐴
Magnus, Toby, Carolyn and Poppy are the farms resident Shire Horses who are owned by Jane Muntz-Torres and you can meet them in the old Goat House. The horses go out to work with Jane and take part in agricultural shows and ploughing matches where they like to show off their natural ability to work.
Matt and Lucy are pictured here with Magnus and Carolyn. Magnus stands at a whopping 19 hands high which is approximately 76 inch...es or 1.93 metres from the ground to his shoulder! That's one big horse! 😱

Suitable for babies aged 3 months to 18 months. 🐝🌼🌻🌳🌲 Please email forestschool@umberslade.com to book in or for more information. There will be limited places so don’t leave it too late to book in.

🌲🐌🦔 For this weeks forest school we are hoping to do a barefoot walk including a squelchy mud splash. We have also got chocolate playdough and a chocolate dinosaur swamp. Looking forward to see all those booked on for Wednesdays seasion🌲🌳🐛🐞
