Following an inspection of our premises this afternoon we have once again been awarded a 5/5 food hygiene rating. We have been commended for our high standards in safe food and hygiene practices.

We held our fathers 80th birthday meal here last night with 11 of us in total. Service and all the food was faultless. Will be visiting again very soon. Highly recommended
We have gone there regularly over the last four years. I've not had a bad meal there yet.
The portions are good.
The food hot and tasty.
The premises clean and pleasant
The staff, polite & friendly, capable and willing.
It's reasonably priced for the large portions offered especially their dessert.
More than ample parking in their large car park.

My wife and i also my family use it regularly there is a good variety of different food and we have never had a bad meal there i would thoroughly recommend the Unicorn at Orton on the hill

Called in today for lunch,very varied menu to cater for all ages,Being veggie,I had Monterey Jack burger with all the trimmings,very well presented and filled a large plate,my partner had Greek salmon again very well presented and plenty of it,we couldn't really manage a dessert but I can't resist a cheese platter and my partner likewise with trifle,there was lots of both!,we sat afterwards,extremely full,and thought hard to find a fault,we couldn't,it was lovely,the staff were very friendly and it was real value for money,we'll be back and would recommend to anyone,thank you

A surprise party for my 60th birthday but that was not the only surprise as this was my first time at the unicorn and I must say the food was absolutely outstanding, would absolutely recommend
Have never been disappointed with this place. Food good, service good, prices good . Good all round pub . Not fancy just proper food at a good price
Had pre birthday meal there on 4th for 13 people, the service was good in spite of the restaurant being very busy, our food came out together the staff were excellent and all of our party were happy with everything we had, we use this pub regularly as its local and we ve not been disappointed ever. Good variety on the menu and specials board.the portions are very big indeed.
Foods really good and you don't wait long even on busy days , staff are really friendly and loads of seating area and good prices
Can not believe i lived only minutes away in Measham for 23 year's and never knew it existed nice location and good food
Went 29th Dec. Food ok except daughters sirloin steak which was unedible. Reported to staff who jusr said 'oh dear bit of bad luck your having' and oh dear ill tell the chef . Wont return in a hurry
The location of the pub is absolutely fantastic, could hear a pin drop outside, very tranquil and relaxing place to spend time with the family. We sat outside for a while enjoying the sunshine whilst we waited for everyone too arrive. When we sat at our table we was served very quickly and staff was friendly too. I ordered for my starter a Tiger prawn salad, which when arrived I was not impressed as I was had a plate of mainly very small prawns and 3 Tiger prawns, my mother in law also ordered the same and she only had 1 Tiger prawn. I didn't feel the need to bring anything up as it tasted fine as would any prawn salad would do. For my main I ordered sizzler steak, which was accompanied with roasted garlic mushrooms, onion rings and chips. When it arrived for some reason or another it was covered in melted cheddar cheese, now, unless I'm mistaken, it never said anything about being smothered in melted cheddar cheese and unfortunately for me I'm not a fan of melted cheese, expecially on a sirloin steak, but never the less I still ate it as I was famished. The food tasted fine and I felt was quite expensive for what I had and also my partner wasn't happy as she had too ask three times for her new potatoes to be brought to her and had practically finished her meal before they arrived.
All in all it was a average experience and a rather expensive one, £68 for three starters and 3 mains, no drinks nor dessert.
Really disappointed with the new menu as from today. What about all those people who like really plain food? Plain chicken, classic ham, egg & chips (not only on the daytime menu).....but everyone likes spices with everything. Sorry
I had the braised beef, melt in the mouth. But very salty- please bear in mind not everyone like or can have a lot of salt! Ugh!!!
Food was excellent. Portions were large -too large for older customers - but good value. Surroundings need updating but clean & presentable. Understand that in today’s climate it would be quite an expense to refurbish but would bring in more clientele.
Went there on Sat 28 Jan for my kids birthday waited over a hour for food (which was told about) I had 16 Oz steak asked for medium but it came out very well done and it was virtually see through it was that thin must say that other meals we ordered were all OK n my son said his burger was outstanding staff were excellent only disappointment was the steak I ordered not a patch on last time I went there be in two minds if I'll go back probably will but won't be having the 16oz wafer thin steak
