As every yogi is unique, yoga and meditation are not one-size-fits-all. You’ll find different options and flavors for both practices, always with eye to creating calm as well as building community.

Sunday is a great day to prep your week ahead - to think about what you want to eat, when you'll move and sit still, what to listen to develop your mind and some free space. . One of my areas to focus on this year is to move daily. Its so easy to fall into the lazy trap or no time excuse - yes I used these daily last year! . Every Sunday I'm starting to carve out time to plan my week ahead. I love the clarity and focus this structure brings and it makes me accountable.... . So this week, have a think about when you are planning in some movement into your day - when I say movement this doesn't have to be full intensity (although its great to have a sweat sess now and then) but could be a walk, yoga, swimming, dancing, jumping around - just something that gets your body moving and the endorphins flowing i.e. something that you love to do 😀 . Now go and write it down, post it somewhere that you will see everyday - mines on the fridge!! . Try this 15min yoga practice this week - perfect post work chill if you have been stationary all day or a slow morning wake up for the body 😍

Many of us feel the need to up-level our health and wellness when a new year rolls round. New year, fresh start and all that! . One of the simplest ways you can experience the benefits of essential oils is by diffusing them. . Seriously it could not be any simpler - add water to diffuser, few drops of oil and off you go. This is how I got started using the oils, and yes I just thought they were nice smells and loved how I could make my home space scented beautifully, BUT definitely did not fully appreciate the amazingness of what they could offer. . Now studying by studying the oils and there effects ...on our system I know that the chemicals constituents in essential oils can interact with your body in a number of ways. Inhaling the aromas from essential oils can stimulate areas of your limbic system, which is a part of your brain that plays a role in emotions, behaviours, sense of smell and long-term memory. . Its those days between Christmas and New Year, where you probably don't know what day or date it is 😩
Where any form of routine in your days has gone out the window and you're still tucking into the chocolate and cheese! You might be back at work.
You might have skipped the gym sess or got more movement in. You might be struggling to get any chill out or alone time as its go, go go.
... Its amazing and challenging at the same time, this festive period 😀
I don't do a lot but I do have some simple daily practices that have gone out the window in the last week and yes, I do feel less grounded and my ability to handle the boys tantrums has lessened and I definitely don't feel as good as I know I can!
So this is a little note to self - bring back the things that you know work. Get your arse out of bed before everyone else to move and hydrate. Make that 1.30pm yoga nidra date even when I need to get stuff done and get yourself to bed early so you can get up the next day!

Vicky's class is the highlight of my week. I know however tired I feel, and my mind tries to trick me into making an excuse not to go, I will leave the class feeling relaxed, refreshed and wonderfully stretched.

I have been practising yoga with Vicky for about 2 years. She has an amazing yoga flow class and I enjoy every minute. Vicky prepares each class to fit with the times of the year and what our body's need. She explains each move carefully and demonstrates how to get the best from the poses. You do not need to be an expert as each move comes with a variety of choices depending on your ability level.



I am now much more supple than I was and I no longer feel the aches and pains I once did. I feel stronger and particularly enjoy the relaxation towards the end of the session.



I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to do something for themselves for an hour and fifteen minutes each week. It sets me up to cope with the stresses and strains of a busy life.
