I see a lot of negative comments here , maybe I was just lucky! No issue with the seats, service was polite and good , it was clean and I had no problems .

Maybe it depends on the day, as it wasn't particularly busy, but I like that, and try to choose less busy times .

Went to watch momma Mia in cinema 2 seats were ok the only thing wrong you could not see the lettering on the floor to tell you what isle you were near

I went to see Jumanji with my family on 28th Dec 2017. The film was brilliant the only thing is that because the screen 2 was full there was a little confusion where people were sitting. Luckily we were in the right seats but I counted 4 lots of group of people couldn't sit in there seats because other people were Sat in them and 3 staff had to come in and sort it. Which they did a great job but I think if they know there are going be a full scene they should have people at the door. Also I think that people don't count the first row of seats as A because there is a disabled bit. My dad had a wheelchair but can walk a few steps. Also the steps weren't clear enough so other people can find the row. Part from that it was fine and my family and I enjoyed the film.

Cinema very good, seating very good when you’re watching a 2 hour Film, only problem..... only 2 loos in ladies toilets!

Watched the film with family, however thought it was funny when I asked for 9.99 deal of popcorn, snack and soft drink. The sales assistant asked if I wanted to upgrade my drink for a extra pound. When I questioned what the difference was in size, she admitted that head office had sent smaller cups for the upgrade. Safe to say there wasn't much difference in size so went for the cheaper option. No brainer really.

Located well in the middle of the shopping centre, the Cinema also has good parking and plenty of restaurants nearby. I don't recommend purchasing any food or drink at this cinema, the prices are horrendous. A pack of popcorn or sweets and a drink can set you back £10 easily. I recommend you go without for the two and a half hours and take a trip to Poundland afterwards, a thirty second walk into the mall.

Secondly, the sound system is so old (or badly maintained) it crackles and pops when under duress. Probably because the volume is often at dangerous levels. If they want loud, they need to make sure the equipment can deal with it.

With average prices tickets, it is always cheaper to buy over the desk than online for some reason. While they always seem to be training staff, there are some reliably quiet times to avoid the crowds.

Overall, the cinema is a perfectly acceptable choice for local viewing, but if you want a good quality experience, travel a bit further away to another cinema.

Took Grandsons to watch Hotel Transylvania 3 in screen 6. No lights on entrance to screen, couldn’t see where we were going. Paid extra for the premium seats, that’s a laugh. No difference in quality seats at all. In fact the whole of the seats are in need of a revamp. Very tatty to say the least. Lights stayed on above seats until halfway through the film. Next time I’ll stick to the cinema at Rubery.

The film cut out 15 mins into the showing then it took them 20 mins to sort out! But then they kept starting the film from scenes we had not seen so it just ruined it. No apology or anything....something should have been offered. Disappointed.

Staff not @ all welcoming, all very rude, in fact having stood in the queue to be served once it came to us to be served the young lady walked off & disappeared!!!! Leaving everyone stranded waiting to get into the cinema...I would certainly suggest Vue need to have all staff trained in customer services & care, they would also need to get staff with personality...Very poor experience, in fact we shall return to Rubery for future cinema experiences, Vue doesn’t deserve customers with such discourteous, appalling staff.. A definite 0 rating..

So paid £60 for Vip seats to see Star Wars with my family, ripped torn seats very uncomfortable and no extra leg room that they falsely showed online when trying to get me to upgrade my tickets! Not happy! Have complained to customer services so let’s see what they do!

User

Seats are narrow and we’re spotted with precious spills (I hope that’s all the marks were) and I became uncomfortable quite quickly. The screen room (4) smelled decidedly unfresh.

Really needs a thorough clean - looked and smelled like public transport.

The screen and sound was good although I thought there was an occasion crackling sound from one of the speakers as if it was being overdriven. I can’t be certain about that as I only noticed it twice in 2.5 hours and it was otherwise good.

User

When people play up in films and disrupt the film that you have paid to see, and it takes staff to the end of the bloody film to sort it there is something wrong

Went to watch the greatest showman sing along and took my daughter as a reward. Got tickets days in advance. Arrived on the night to buy refreshments and to go to our seats. When we got our seats (screen 7 J5+J6) the seats were broken and felt like I was lying back. Lady came and made an announcement that there was technical issues with the show. She offered us the original movie with subtitles or refund. I had to ask if I could move my tickets to the next day but different seats that wasn’t broken. Why did they sell tickets for broken seats. Why would I want the original movie with subtitles as it wasn’t what I was paying for. Just a shame as it then cost double in refreshments. Should of been told before we purchased them.

Visited yesterday lunchtime. 1 hotdog left and was told that they didn’t have any buns to go with it after I’d paid for it. Manager came to do a refund and said there was buns in the freezer and that they would bring it in to me when ready which I was happy with. i was then left to wait for the rest of my order whilst the young girl then went to get buns and put more hotdogs on! . The young girl that served me was very incompetent. Eventually got the rest of my order by a nice young man who could see I was getting annoyed as I was just left waiting!

Cost £30 for my son and me. The salsa with the nachos tasted disgusting -like tomato ketchup with some chilli in it, awful. I will not be eating them again -definitely not the same as before . Shame as the film was great and the manager was nice.

User

Very expensive and it don’t tell you if you buy the tickets at the counter and you get a discount on the family deal

User

VERY disappointed this evening. Took a friend to the sing-a-long version of Greatest Showman, only there were technical issues and they couldn’t show the sing-a-long version so instead it was a refund or watch a version with subtitles!! Not good, subtitles were very distracting and the sound was awful. My TV at home has better sound. We would have left and got a refund but it was my birthday treat Will not be using VUE again as it was expensive and for a little bit more we could have gone to a more exclusive cinema such as Everyman.

User

Speakers have gone in theatre 6 horrible tapping or hum and the seats are ruined paid for the best and sat on a seat which could’ve come out of a skip

I was very disappointed with the attitude and the customer service received from your Team Leader Naveen today. She was very rude and abrubt when I asked her a simple question about pricing. Then arguing with me about my attitude when i told her to calm down! (All of this taking place in front of my 6 year old son! Not a pleasant cinema experience for him) Other customers in the que stated that they were glad someone finally said something as they were appalled also with the quality of service they was receiving!

She was then just as pleasant to the other staff working along side her (very professional and exceptional leadership qualities there). When i asked to speak to a manager, she informed me she was the manager. Then when i asked for head office contact number her story soon changed to team leader!

This lady needs serious retraining on customer service skills. If she is incabable of being pleasant enough to politely serve customers, then maybe a re-think of working in retail or in a customer based work environment needs to be done!

Word of mouth is a very strong advertisement for companies and im said to say there will not be a positive word i can say about my experience at this venue. To the point that i no longer want to use your services again due to the effect that it had on my child. For the entire afternoon he has commented on how grumpy and mean that lady was. Not the memories you are hoping to make with your child!

Cheers Naveen
