Don't forget our rearranged Aussie Open will take place this Friday from 6:30pm (no BBQ this time). Open to all adult members just turn up before 6:30pm if you wish to play (registration open from 6:15pm).

Due to the weather tonight's grand slam event has been cancelled. We will aim to rearrange and confirm a new date asap 🎾🏆

Tomorrow we host our 1st 2019 Grand Slam Event, for adult members. If the weather forecast turns out to not look great we will postpone rather than potentially get rained off. We will inform members via email and Facebook if we have to postpone. #prayforgoodweather

Wonder how many of our local families would like to get involved? If you don't live in the village make your scarecrow and he can come and have a sleep over at the tennis club for the local residents to admire 😁

***Announcement*** What a start to the season. We now have our new lease firmly in our hands! Pending a further two signatures by our trustees we will seal our presence in the village for atleast the next 20 years. It has taken over 18 months to get to this point so we are understandably elated. The fundraising can now begin for the court resurfacing and floodlighting.
We have secured further funding from Birmingham Airport so we are now on course to 'spruce' up our clubhouse.... Great work Paul in securing this!
We are storming ahead in certain Tesco Stores (Castle Bromwich, Green Lane is close though) so are on track to get further funding from this scheme. If you are pop in to a local Tesco make sure you grab a token if you spot us on the board.
Next goal.....raise £30k by the end of the year. Well we do like a challenge

Notice to all parents All lessons today are cancelled due to the gail force winds

25 days in to the new membership year with the season fully getting underway on Saturday and we already have 43% of members fully paid up! You have until 31st May to pay your 2019/2020 membership subscription fees.
We really do appreciate you paying promptly. We have so much going on behind the scenes. Currently trying to promote the open day, sort the Wimbledon draw for the club, push Tesco fundraising campaign, prepare for first grand slam event next week and to answer que...ries about the new season.
If we can save time chasing members (as much as a like to nag!) that it really does help as all club activities are done by volunteers around families and jobs so any time we can save can be spent to helping grow the club :)

7 days since our membership renewal began and we have had 26% of members renew their 2019/2020 membership. Incredible when we haven't even had our first club night yet. You have until 31st May to renew your membership (but Sarah will nag you weekly so don't wait to pay). If you have opted in to the Wimbledon ballot with the LTA you need to renew your membership by 20th April. If you haven't opted in but would like to it is too late for this year as the deadline was February 26th. It is a deadline set by the LTA and is not negotiable im afraid (we have no control on this).

Keep voting guys We are storming ahead at Water Orton Tesco but it's close at Tesco express on green lane. Remember to pop in to a local Tesco and ask when a token when you shop 👍 As Tesco says....every little helps 🤣
