User

Wonderful place to visit and the food was really good , very welcoming and warm atmosphere and I was looked after well by the staff. Definitely visit again.

User

We were visitors from Australia. Best fish and chips ever, lovely setting, staff were wonderful, enjoyed our day out with our Sister, after visiting Highclere house where Downton Abbey was filmed. We were originally from Whitchurch prior to our move to Australia.

User

We had pre-distillery visit lunch which was superb. Food was fresh and well made, and staff were delightful and very helpful. My friend was very impressed with the quality of the disabled toilets. Thank you for a lovely lunch experience 😁

User

We had a lovely family lunch at the WDI on Easter Sunday, the scallops were meltingly delicious, the roast beef left the teenage boys drooling and full (and that takes some doing) and the bright green beer caused great amusement. Very friendly welcome, excellent waitress service at the table. We will definitely make the journey from Bristol to come again. Tx.

User

We got here very late towards the end of the service, after our tour of the local famous distillery down the road. they were happy to serve us, which made our day as the food and setting is delightful, lovely friendly staff.

User

Very good food. Not a microwave in sight. Had the steak ciabatta, cooked rare as I requested. Proper chips. Busy lunch time but attentive service. Very enjoyable dining experience. Najeeb

My partner booked for us to stay here for my 30th birthday as I'm a massive fan of the book and film and all things bunny we used the watership down inn as a base and we went walking over the downs where my fiance proposed to me. Our stay here was perfect. The staff are lovely the beds are comfy the rooms are clean and modern and the food is great. We will definitely be returning, such a beautiful part of the country.

Called in on spur of the moment...great ambiance and the sour apple and peanut brittle desert was to die for!

User

A lovely pub that has been lovingly decorated and great food!

The sheepskin on the chairs were a fun touch but wished they had them in the conservatory where we were!

User

First visit for a somewhat local (Thatcham), reasonable Beer selection, Food varied and tasty; staff pleasant and attentive without being overpowering. Will definitely return.

User

Came here for lunch with a group of friends en route to the Bombay Sapphire Gun Distillery. I had a very tasty beef baguette. The staff were efficient and friendly. An excellent place to come before or after visiting the Distillery

User

Called up from the Bombay sapphire and managed to get a table at short notice. It was very busy when we arrived but got served very quickly and had our orders taken. Only one choice for vegetarians unfortunately which was a grilled halloumi salad which was ok. My husband had the mixed roast lamb & beef which he said was very nice.

The meals came out quite quickly seeing as they were so busy.

Perhaps a little more choice for vegetarians as I would have been stuck if I hadn’t liked halloumi!!

User

Lovely pub and great food with amazing terrace

User

Probably the worst roast Beef I've ever had. It came out swimming in blood. It was changed and this time it was full of fat and gristle. And they couldn't clear the table quick enough. It was like a conveyor belt.
