User

The cafe has probably the nicest barristers in Birmingham.

The sort of place you'd take your Granny and your mates...

User

Staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful too. My favourite bookstore in Birmingham.

User

Never been there in my life, but some fine folks I know--or at least know of--enjoyed it there.

User

My favourite place to be! Especially when my knees are just killing me, so a coffee, slice of cake, a couple of bruffen, read a bit of Kafka on the shore by Murakami and buy a copy of Walden. Almost perfection.....

I popped in to Waterstones because I'd heard the author doing a book launch was the lady coming to our school as a visitor / entertainer for world book day. B.B.Taylor not only read the book but entertained and made real connect with the audience. I bought the book 'Murphy and the monster' and I can't wait to read it to my class. 10/10

Awesome dynamic bookstore, proposing lots of different activities, and the café is so great, it's such a pleasure to have coffee among the books !

User

An amazing place to read books , and to have a cup of coffee , they have unlimtied type of books , it's a highly recomended place for people who love to read

User

We went here yesterday for Joey Graceffa's book signing and although the staff were very good at organising and keeping things moving I didn't like the way they spoke to us half of the time.. plus now I font know if this decision was made by Joey's I don't management team I guess because he had to get to another signing that day in reading or if it was made by Waterstones but we weren't aloud to give him our gifts ourselves we had to give them to this lady.. but I've seen at other signings people giving them personally which was kind of a bummer cause I wanted to tell him something about them but didn't get the chance but overall a really good experience.

User

Took my daughter yesterday for the Tom Fletcher book signing , staff were pleasant and it was well organised

User

The service is excellent at waterstones birmingham. Me and. Sisters regulary visit yout store. Loved the book chairs. A while. Back and love meeting authors when they come to sign. My sister found she has been blocked on your twitter page and dosent know why And was wondering if you could tell us why please we always visit waterstones birmingham most weeks one of the best waterstones ever. With the cafes you can have a coffee tea and check out the good books my son loves the children. Book section. Brilliant shop xxx

User

Had really good service in here today. There was a girl up in the young adults section who was super friendly and helpful as I wanted a new book but didn't know what was good. She recommended several and I bought two of the ones she suggested. Didn't catch her name but I would love to give her a recommendation. Only gave the place a four cause I miss the other old building but the new building isn't bad at all.

User

Probably the wrong of year to go as very very busy. However lovely store with a Costa X

User

Events are good, but badly organised.staff are quite rude.It used to be the place to visit, now it feels uncomfortable. The layout is not great, and the staff constantly push add on sales even when your in a rush.Ive visited other waterstones and none of the above seems to apply.shame really,as we need a decent book shop in the city.

User

Something very wrong with the new basement. It 'feels' wrong. The lighting is bad for people that suffer with migraines and epilepsy. It is claustrophobic. Horror and sci-fi are mixed together. The lifts are too small to fit more than a wheel chair in. And the cafes... the one on the 1st floor doesn't do soft drinks. You have to go to the one on the 3rd floor. Staff hover to clear your table even if you haven't finished. Terrible changes. Bring back the other store.

User

Seen a mouse & the staff picked it up with a dust pan & brush , they said that they throw it outside
