Simple, elegant and ideal for (football watching) parties. Whether you’re avoiding the World Cup with a quiet weekend lunch or inviting everyone round for a football feast the Weber Master-Touch is, in our opinion, the perfect charcoal grill for the occasion.

User

Went today, first time for a long time, very impressed with the new restaurant and the lovely if somewhat expensive tableware, but all excellent quality. Would recommend to anyone for a day out

User

We visited Santa's Grotto... Wow! Even though my kids have basically outgrown this event, they loved everything about it... from the choosing of reindeer food, colouring wooden Christmas baubles, walking through the wonderful winter wonderland, then waiting to see Santa - well worth the wait... he was sat in a magical room, adorned with amazing decorations, my children had their photograph taken with him, & then we were transported into Santa's workshop, where the elves were filling the shelves with amazing toys & you could take your choice of one you would like to keep as an early quality present from Santa... fantastic! I would say it was worth about the same cost of the admission price! Well done to all involved in creating magical memories, that will last a lifetime.

User

We have been to Webbs for many many years. Never knew about the River Garden Walk.

I would of taken my daughter there when she was younger had I known. Can't believe it's been there 18 years.

I only found out though a flyer. Think you need to advertise it more, it's a lovely setting with plenty of resting places

User

We go every year for Santa and Ice Skating. Christmas starts when we go to Webb’s. So much there to do from the animals, shopping for food, toys, clothes, hobbies, garden, crafts... endless! fab restaurant, play area for kids, great staff, picnic areas outside, rides... you can spend a full day here!

Prices for goods a little more on the expensive side, however parking is free and so is the day out experience!!

User

Used the Webbs direct delivery service, as I was wanting some quality trellis. Looking in the DIY sheds, the quality on offer was very poor (most of it was broken and you were expected to purchase it) and also expensive. Ordered 3 panels online, charged £7.95 delivery (one place wanted £35 delivery!), and they are excellent quality. Very sturdy construction too. Arrived in perfect condition. I was expecting to fix at least a few slats back into each panel but it was not necessary. Surpassed my expectations and I've received excellent customer service.

User

My friends and I booked afternoon tea and cinema to see its a wonderful life, we had a fabulous time the setting was perfect and the food was divine, lots of tea, cakes and scones with jam and clotted cream. The service was very good and not rushed at all, I would highly recommend it we will be booking to come back next year ( I'm hoping this will be a regular event at webbs and maybe not just for Christmas) many thanks we had a great time. 😊😊

User

Love this place ,helpful staff and advice fabulous food they have a great selection They have a variety of plants and at a good price. recommend a visit you wont be disappointed ...Excellent

User

I took my kids ice skating tonight and my son fell and got hit head the staff were great

The lad who works on the skate desk went the extra mile... my son hit his head on the Ice and was freaking out! He made sure he was ok and calmed him down.My son has autism the toilets were shut in the restaurant he even took him to another toilet and checked on him again in the restaurant. What a lovely caring member of staff you have working for you a credit to Webb’s.

User

A massive thumbs up to Sue on the garden furniture section!!! Went in yesterday and she was so friendly and helpful and certainly went the extra mile for us - nothing was too much trouble helping us make up our minds over some new garden furniture - hope you’re on commission - you certainly deserve it!!!! . Got to say though - be warned - the flat pack garden chairs/settees are an absolute nightmare to put together with copious amounts of bolts and very very fiddly - took us about 5 hours to assemble and we are dab hands at flat pack!!!

User

Lovely venue to have a look around with a good outdoor playarea the children enjoy. Food from the food hall is lovely the homemade sausage rolls in particular are amazing. Sadly it's very over priced in all areas of the store. Came along with son yesterday for a treat and had 2 soft drinks with a slice of Victoria sponge and a plain shortbread biscuit, which came to a few pence shy of £10 😱 - we did enjoy it, mummy would have enjoyed it more if it was cheaper though 🤣

User

Had a great time ice skating and visiting Santa. Thought Santa and the elves were great, they really stayed in character and interacted really well with children during the entrance kiosk and while children were decorating decs and filling bags, my children really enjoyed chatting away to them.

Santa was great, it wasn’t rushed and he really chatted in detail to them, which really went down well with my children and made it special....my children are getting older now and soon the magic will be gone but your Santa and elves certainly kept it going for another year.

One suggestion, while waiting in the wonderland have some questions or puzzles to entertain the children while they wait, maybe on ur booklet you give the kids have a quiz, eg, how many owls are hiding in the trees, what colour hat is polar bear on the sleigh wearing etc, just to keep them going while they wait.

Really enjoyed the Santa and skating, the only thing that let you down is the restaurant. Expensive, too long to wait in line for food, really hard to carry the trays from one area to another, then to the tills and then to find a table, reindeer biscuits only in the skating cafe and nothing similar in the restaurant part, paper cups only in the skating cafe, why can’t we have a choice and have it in a normal cup.

The restaurant was only thing that let you down on a otherwise brilliant day out. Will prob be coming again next year, but like others have suggested just go down the road to a pub for the food.

User

Would have given more but we went to see Santa which was wonderful , planning to eat with my granddaughter around her teatime 4.30. Went on the website and it stated the restaurant closed half an hour before the store . Low and behold we went in at 4.15 to be told they stopped serving at 3 !!!!! So disappointed as the food in the cafe by the ice rink is disgusting . Won’t be going next year

User

WE used to love going to Webbs and having something to eat and drink but since they refurbished the restaurant the experience is certainly not so good. The food is quite good but I think it is overpriced.

User

Visited the ice rink, excellent organisation and good value , great family fun. After skating we visited the cafe which was a let down , queues and disinterested staff, had bacon rolls for our party which at £4.50 per roll would expect more that one piece of bacon on a stale bread roll . Had we not have already queued and there was still a queue would have taken them back.

User

Took my grandsons to see the grotto and Santa. The event was lovely and the boys enjoyed it. (1 & 2 years old so of course they would). Santa's elves were fab and funny too. However, it was very rushed and felt more like we was on a conveyor belt. The children barely had time to colour in their wooden bauble before they were rushed through to Santa. Although he spent time with them, he was telling them about the list which they're a bit to young to understand.... I suppose he has to keep to a strict rule. Some of the toys were excellent for the price paid. I was disappointed but its what the children enjoy that counts.... Won't return next year.

User

Our first time at the garden centre and we went to the Santa experience. The elves in the first room were lovely and we liked the activities. A bit suprised the wonderland was basically soft toys on display... great they do a photo with Santa as my toddler and I went by ourselves this year. Also loved seeing the reindeer.

Cafe in main garden centre looks nice but is awful. Apparently they stop serving hot food a 3ish (perhaps fine in the depths of January but the place was so busy for Christmas- perhaps you could reconsider?)and the coffees were undrinkable but expensive and lacked any kind of service. It seemed over staffed, especially with teens, no apparent leadership/hospitality knowledge/customers service ... farm style food shop looks fab with a nice range of items and we had great cheery service at Lakeland section though. A real mixed bag. It could easily be so much better, the potential is there.

User

*paint not washable at paint a bird box activity, clothes now stained* I came to Webb's yesterday with my friend and our children to do the paint a bird box activity. I thought the cost was a fair price and the children had a lovely time. During the event the kids got paint on their clothes which we were fine about as they were all under 5 so was to be expected, and aprons were provided. We asked a member of staff if the paint was washable and we were assured that it was. However after washing the clothes the paint has not come out, even with stain remover. I have to say i feel very disappointed, given then member of staff assured us it was washable and would come out!

User

What can I say. Webb's must be doing so fantastically that they are happy not to want to take our money. We went in today to buy garden furniture but beforehand decided to look at the food hall. As you do, we started to put things in our basket. Sounds straight forward but no. Try paying for those goods in the food hall. It doesn't matter that there were pdq machines and tills at the counters. If you weren't buying bread or cheeses they did not want to take for your goods and the fact that we also had two cards in the mix well I am sorry but they could not handle that. We were told to pay by the exit. Not normally a problem but when there are queues of people waiting to pay for plants and the food hall queue was none existent what would you do? After going to two separate counters to be told to go to another counter we just left everything and walked out. Very disappointing Webb's. Surely all your systems are linked and anyone can pay for goods at any station.

User

Came looking for plants which was fine. My mother and I stopped for tea and cake which was overpriced especially as service was slow tables were mucky and the crockery was disgustingly stained and dirty. I was really surprised having worked in catering that the crockery doesn’t seem to have been sanitised or cleaned properly for a while.
