Visited for the first time yesterday. I've found where I'll be writing my dissertation November - January!! Great selection of food, amazing cake, good coffee, great service, and a lovely feel to the cafe. Brilliant!!

It was brillant the staff member were all lovely will definitely come again as my hangout lol.

I met with friends today and the food was excellent and value for money,choice extensive, service good and cakes to die for we all enjoyed it and will definitely be back �

I love this place. The sandwich fillings are amazing making it very difficult to choose. Have to go back to try something else. Also fabulous latte.

I had my first visit to wedges this week and I must say the lady that served us was very approachable and friendly which made our visit very enjoyable I hope she doesn’t mind me mentioning her name Annie you are a credit to the company and we will definitely be making another visit

A very big thank you to wedges bakery and especially Alison Shale for donating some lovely cakes for my sons cake sale at school tomorrow to support and raise funds for child mental health week � very generous of you and really appreciated ��

5 stars for fresh bread, nice cakes and good service. Not tried coffee yet but hoping it will be good.

Wedges on Dovehouse Parade is a haven from the hustle and bustle of life. Fabulous hit sandwiches and scrumptious cakes. My only gripe is that the pots of tea are too strong. This is despite me removing the tea leaves straight away �

Visited recently staff not very organised plenty off them! Ordered a hot pasty when it came after getting half way middle was cold, they just put in oven and 're heated. Ordered decaf coffee got caffeine, ordered mint hot chocolate got normal! Again a staffing issue.

Spotless, well laid out and polite staff help make it very welcoming. Terrific range of cakes and savouries, I was impressed. I had a sausage and tomato sandwich which was massive, couldn't finish it - only criticism was sausages weren't particularly good quality, a little bland. Good coffee and all reasonably priced. Will visit again.

Loved the hot chocolate and cakes were nice also,my girls really enjoyed every thing there . Thank you.

Went yesterday at around 1pm. Was super busy only just managed to grab a table as someone was leaving. I think the sandwiches are over priced especially the surcharge for eating in. Eighteen pounds for 2 sandwiches a slice of cake and one hot drink 2 cold drinks. Not that mpressed and the queing system was confusing. The chap on the hot drinks was doing his best but not a slick process to shout out a number for orders when it's so busy the customers couldn't hear.

Went to this place as I heard it'd been turned into a coffee place as well as a bakery; I mean, I love coffee shops, tea rooms & other small eatery type places & I've been to different places all over the area searching for ones to feel comfortable in & visit again, perhaps! I know what I like!



It looked good at first glance but admittedly I was a bit late to grab some cupcakes for a thing this evening but I get that things fly out during the day! Wedges boasts 'great coffee'... naa; I know what good coffee is & this wasn't! The first cappuccino I ordered was mostly foam & bitter when I finally got to the liquid it was lukewarm! The helpful staff kindly made me another one which was better but way too strong, still bitter & nearly took my tongue out! The toasted sandwich was okay but... well... �



I'm sure that this place will improve as it beds in & staff receive not only training but also experience! I wholeheartedly recommend that they all undergo training from an experienced barista & that you carry out regular tests on the espresso brewing times (& water pressure) to ensure an overall... smoother taste in the coffee!

Poor customer service today.. our order didn’t arrive-don’t know what happened and don’t think the staff did either. No genuine apology, just two free drinks. Staff talking about you/the situation behind the counter. Staff took our order again and it came out wrong. Such a shame as the food is yummy.

Absolutely appalled at service today made an order to eat in quite simply a cheese and ham toastie and a BLT sandwich a hazelnut latte and a bottle of coke how hard can that be well actually very hard it seems my husband went to collect his latte another customer prompley pickec up his drink took a gulp and said oooh that’s not mine to which the chap serving asked my husband what he was waiting for so he told him and the chap pointed to the drink that another customer had drank from and said that’s yours my husband said no a lady has just drunk from that cup but the chap still expected my husband to drink it so my husband asked for a fresh one nearly 20 minutes he received his fresh latte! In the mean time my toastie came out but no BLT so I went back to the counter and said my order isn’t complete but my number was taken 10 minutes later I was approached by a young girl who informed me that a BLT wasn’t ordered when it was so before losing my temper I paid again for a BLT which we finally received!! Very poor show of a business! I never complain but my custom will from now on be taken elsewhere!!!! ����
