The Offensive Weapons Act 2019 introduces new prohibitions under the Firearms Act 1968 on certain rapid-firing rifles and 'bump stocks'. The prohibitions come into force with effect from 16 May. More info can be found on our website below -

The Firearms Licencing Unit hosted the annual Ordnance Conference on Saturday 23rd February. Members traveled from across the country to the event held at Hindlip Hall, Worcester.

Today through until Sunday we will be at The Great British Shooting Show at the NEC! We're on the BASC stand - come down and say hi! :-)

The office is now back to normal working hours. Happy new year to our certificate holders and followers!

If you are looking to apply for a Firearm Certificate, we recommend that you obtain shooting experience before you apply. Why not consider joining a Club, taking certificated training courses or using previous experience. #TipOfTheWeek

The quickest way notify the unit of any certificate changes is using our online system! Your notifications come through to our office and are typically looked at within a few days.

For #TipOfTheWeek we’re looking at Visitor Permits. As a sponsor please ensure you are submitting applications at least 6 weeks in advance. This gives us here at the unit the necessary time to process paperwork and get permits out to you! 📆👍
