We have finally begun building work for our new office! There may be disruption at times with machinery etc, so please do be patient if visting and there happens to be a lorry in your way for a few minutes! We will try and keep any disruption as minimal as possible. Work should be ongoing for the next three or four months.

Notice! We understand that Christmas is a time for many to remember their loved ones, and often this means wanting to leave something festive at their graveside. This does go against our ethos, and the amount of rubbish that has to be disposed of by us once the season has ended is not only ecologically unsound but also very time consuming to remove. However, we will accept simple, natural wreaths and cut flowers, but please remember, as always, to take your wrapping with you.... It must be noted that decorative Christmas trees and battery operated lights are NOT allowed. We will be having a big clear up on the 12th day after Christmas onwards, so if there is anything you would like to keep then please do collect it before this date.
You may notice we have begun making a new style of plaque. These are sandstone effect acrylic plaques that lie flush with the ground. They are much more durable and aesthetically pleasing than the wooden versions, less intrusive and are more convenient from a maintenance point of view, allowing us to mow over them. If you would like to renew an existing plaque it will only cost £50. It will take a good while to phase out the old style plaque, but once this is achieved the Park will look even more like a meadow and less ‘regimented’.
We are hoping to have a mild winter of course, but if we are set for a big freeze and snow, please do take care with your vehicles and when walking on slippery surfaces. We will be shutting the Park if we consider it to be too hazardous and would appreciate your compliance for not entering even if you do have a 4x4!!
Dan and Amy and all at Westall Park would like to wish you a safe and ‘Merry Christmas’.

Our Autumn Notice!
As we enter into Autumn we have been undertaking our usual cutting of the grass around the whole Park. This is weather permitting and is a painstaking task, so please do have patience if we have not managed to reach your area yet. To keep the park in its natural state we would like to remind visitors not to compost or garden plots in any way as this goes against the ethos of the park and can be damaging and upsetting to all who abide by and respect the who...le concept of natural burial. We have a selection of wildflower seeds specifically chosen for the soil conditions here. These are available from the office upon request for anyone wishing to sow seeds on a loved ones plot here in the park. If there is anything you wish to plant yourselves we would kindly ask you to check with us first to make sure it is appropriate.
Our previous notice announced that we have planning to build a new office at the entrance. We have begun, as you can see by the fencing, but have had a couple of unforeseen setbacks. However we hope to begin building by the Winter time.
You may have noticed some new plaques appearing around the park. We have re-designed our plaques and now offer a new sandstone effect acrylic plaque that sits flush with the ground. Not only will they last much longer than our old wooden plaques but they are less intrusive visually, less of a trip hazard and enable us to manage the park much more efficiently. For anyone who has a wooden plaque that is falling into disrepair we offer a renewal service to replace the old plaque for a new sandstone effect one for £50. Whilst cutting the grass this year we are removing plaques that are no longer fit for purpose, so if you visit and find it missing, please call in to the office or telephone us to discuss.
Just to remind visitors the gate will be opened at 9am and locked at 5pm throughout the year. We do have a couple of parking spaces in front of the main gate for anyone wanting to visit out of hours and don't mind a nice evening walk. We regret that we can not keep the Park gate open later than 5pm, but we must make sure that the Park is secured when staff leave the premises, as all cemeteries do.
Many Thanks
Amy and Dan

Notice! During the spring and summer months the park really comes in to its own and is awash with wildflowers and wildlife. To keep the park in its natural state we would like to remind visitors not to compost, strim or garden plots in any way as this goes against the ethos of the park and can be damaging and upsetting to all who abide by and respect the whole concept of natural burial. We are happy to announce that we have now obtained planning permission to build a much needed new office and convert the current workshop and office into a gathering hall. This will enable us to offer much better services to families and provide improved facilities for everyone. We hope to start work later this year so please be aware there might be some minor disruption during this period.
