Weston Lawns Fisheries

Well this was probably one of the best fisheries I've been to, stayed in cabin 8 on pool one and had a fantastic time catching 19 carp the biggest being 19lb I didn't have a fish under 10lb, the cabin was really nice to stay in will definitely be going back, was well worth driving nearly 100 miles to go to Weston lawns fisheries, the owners was really nice and good to have a chat with, would recommend this place to anyone ����

Well back from another trip from my favorite fishing venue and yet again another brilliant trip with another pb,I had 26 carp and a cat out this time with average size 17-18 lb and biggest weighing 24lb 6oz,ended up having over 400lb of fish from this trip and about an hours sleep lol,we've been 5 times this year and absolutely love the place,always fell very welcome from Alison and the staff and it was nice to meet nick the owner who is also a very welcoming bloke and nothings to much trouble while your there,if you like a bit of luxury while your fishing and plenty of big fish to go out then this is the place for you,we decided against going abroad for a holiday and booked a full week here instead in August so thank God the Mrs loves the place to, see you all in August,oh and the cafe is bang on compliments to the chief

We stayed in the new Willow lodge for 48hrs it was the best couple of days fishing I have had in a long time, I was well impressed of what I pulled out. Alison was really helpful, & gave us a nice & warm welcome. The lodge its self was amazing it was big & spacious, beds were comfortable, nice lighting & decking outside, overall its 5 stars for me will certainly be visiting again

Stayed in Cabin 6 for 48hrs. Made to feel very welcome despite me getting our booking in times completely mucked up.



I'm rating weston lawns fishery at five stars despite having a few niggles and I will explain why.



The overall feel of the complex is a bit untidy due to piles of rubble and bits of machinery left about the place. It had the feel of a working farm rather than a short break holiday destination (albeit with an angling twist). However there is clearly work going on to improve the complex and perhaps it's only a matter of time before it's properly tidied. My wife put it very well when she said "it's really lovely once your tucked away in your cabin in your own little bubble"



Our cabin was fantastic, everything you could need. We brought cutlery, mugs, plates washing up liquid etc with us but that had already been provided. The only down side, from looking around the lake, in my opinion, is that the eco cabins are quite close together which restricts where you can fish.



Pool one is fantastic as a venue. I had plenty of options from cabin 6 as to where to present a bait. There are some big fish in there. I certainly spotted a few and had the privilege of battling one. The only thing I would say is there seems to be an overpopulation of silver fish, skimmers etc to really call it a specimen lake. But it's due to be netted soon so perhaps that will be rectified.



So despite the above small "niggles" there is one aspect that for me makes Weston Lawns a five star establishment. And that is the customer service - or Alison as I'm sure she'd like to be called (the lady at reception). She was amazing, humorous helpful and knowledgable. I was really struggling for the first 24hrs I was there. But Alison gave me a few gold nuggets of local knowledge that enabled me to bag not only my first sturgeon but also my biggest fish as yet.



I will be back because of Alison and I'll be bringing friends.

Stayed here in April for 6 days with the hubby loved it, caught a couple of fish, due to the cold weather fish weren't really biting however the cabin was lovely and so were the staff,booked to go back for a few days end of August looking forward to it.

Stayed for two nights mid-week in September and it didn't disappoint. �

Excellent cabins throughout but 3 of us stayed in cabin 8 which was a real home from home. The cleanest fishing trip I've ever been on! Luxuries include, freeview tv, hot running water, usb charging points and a cafe delivery service for all your full English needs!

The fishing was pretty good with five 10-15lb carp and two sturgeon at 13lbs and 17lbs.

The staff are very friendly and happy to help (even the wildlife comes to say hello).

All in all a great trip and with work ongoing the site can only get better. ��

Spent 48 hours on eco cabin 1 with my husband and our two boys, wifi is a god send with a teenager on the trip! Had an excellent two days, two boys loved maggot fishing catching fish constantly kept them entertained. Husband also managed to catch 34 sturgeon just before we left! Am not a outdoor type of person but found the cabin facilities of a good standard log burner was great for colder nights Loved it so much booked to come back again. X

Our first time at Weston Lawns and we couldn’t have wished for a better weekend. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, so a big thank you to everyone for making us so welcome. Really well stocked Bait/equipment shop situated at Reception which you will need if you underestimate the activity when it comes to the fishing.

We stayed on lake 2 and it was really active and well stocked with a variety of fish. During the weekend we caught Carp, Bream, Tench and Perch Float Fishing with Luncheon Meat and Blood Worm Pellets although we did notice most people were fishing off the bottom. In total we caught between 90 - 100 fish over the long weekend.

We will def be coming back, soon.

Just stayed the weekend cabin 10 with the wife daughter and dog had a brill weekend caught some nice fish would definitely recommend to anyone

Just got back from our 1st visit (took the mrs) stayed 3nights in cabin 8. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends had some great sport, fishing virtually straight out of the front door and makes a nice change to have a bit of comfort and watch t.v while waiting for a bite when used to being a bivvy tramp. Not as luxury as some cabins I have stayed in at other venues but it has everything you need and more for a few days fishing and for the price it is brilliant . Will definitely be back!!

Just come back from a fab weekend in cabin 6, the lake fished well, the cabin was immaculate and clean, well equipped and spacious, Alison on reception was really helpful and nice as she is always is when we have visited before, couldn’t have asked for a better weekend.

Just back from an excellent time away fishing. I booked this after doing some research for my husband who has COPD, but enjoys fishing. It was so nice for him to be able to fish for long spells and not be worn out getting set up etc. To top it all he caught some nice carp and on the last day a sturgeon. I was in charge of the landing net. I enjoyed the break, reading or watching the telly, nice to be able to relax. We hope to be back again next year. Alison, very helpful and knowledgeable. Great holiday x

I have just got home after a 3 day trip to Weston Lawns. All I can say is that this place is great. We stayed in cabin 9 and the fishing was good.



The breakfasts are top notch and really cheap for what you get.



Alison is a real asset to this place she couldn't do enough for us. We will be returning soon

Hospitality was amazing , the lady in reception was lovely and fishing was good had a 14.10lb cat fish out of pool 1 , tackle shop had a good range suited for there lakes �� , the only downfall was cafe not open but was told before our arrival so took food and cooked on the veranda �� definitely returning asap !! So all round a good venue and would recommend this place to friends and family ....

Spacious and warm, with added bonus of lights, USB charge function and tv,

log burner was awesome addition too,

Difinetly 5* when compared to a usual bivvy set up and even better considering the price



in terms of fishing it was a little difficult in our swim was told it was generally one of the less productive cabins

I did manage a couple of carp but there was a cold wind blowing into us which didn't help and the fish seemed to be sitting on the back of it,

Overall a real enjoyable fishing session and a place we will defo be returning to

Hopefully get ourselves a sturgeon next time

Fished cabin 9 for 3 days outstanding place and great fishing I caught 18 fish mainly sturgeon and big bream biggest 18lb cabin was amazing would highly recommend really professional fishery would definitely be back thanks a lot

We stayed in the new Willow lodge for 48hrs it was the best couple of days fishing I have had in a long time, I was well impressed of what I pulled out. Alison was really helpful, & gave us a nice & warm welcome. The lodge its self was amazing it was big & spacious, beds were comfortable, nice lighting & decking outside, overall its 5 stars for me will certainly be visiting again

Stayed in Cabin 6 for 48hrs. Made to feel very welcome despite me getting our booking in times completely mucked up.



I'm rating weston lawns fishery at five stars despite having a few niggles and I will explain why.



The overall feel of the complex is a bit untidy due to piles of rubble and bits of machinery left about the place. It had the feel of a working farm rather than a short break holiday destination (albeit with an angling twist). However there is clearly work going on to improve the complex and perhaps it's only a matter of time before it's properly tidied. My wife put it very well when she said "it's really lovely once your tucked away in your cabin in your own little bubble"



Our cabin was fantastic, everything you could need. We brought cutlery, mugs, plates washing up liquid etc with us but that had already been provided. The only down side, from looking around the lake, in my opinion, is that the eco cabins are quite close together which restricts where you can fish.



Pool one is fantastic as a venue. I had plenty of options from cabin 6 as to where to present a bait. There are some big fish in there. I certainly spotted a few and had the privilege of battling one. The only thing I would say is there seems to be an overpopulation of silver fish, skimmers etc to really call it a specimen lake. But it's due to be netted soon so perhaps that will be rectified.



So despite the above small "niggles" there is one aspect that for me makes Weston Lawns a five star establishment. And that is the customer service - or Alison as I'm sure she'd like to be called (the lady at reception). She was amazing, humorous helpful and knowledgable. I was really struggling for the first 24hrs I was there. But Alison gave me a few gold nuggets of local knowledge that enabled me to bag not only my first sturgeon but also my biggest fish as yet.



I will be back because of Alison and I'll be bringing friends.

Stayed here in April for 6 days with the hubby loved it, caught a couple of fish, due to the cold weather fish weren't really biting however the cabin was lovely and so were the staff,booked to go back for a few days end of August looking forward to it.

Stayed for two nights mid-week in September and it didn't disappoint. �

Excellent cabins throughout but 3 of us stayed in cabin 8 which was a real home from home. The cleanest fishing trip I've ever been on! Luxuries include, freeview tv, hot running water, usb charging points and a cafe delivery service for all your full English needs!

The fishing was pretty good with five 10-15lb carp and two sturgeon at 13lbs and 17lbs.

The staff are very friendly and happy to help (even the wildlife comes to say hello).

All in all a great trip and with work ongoing the site can only get better. ��

Spent 48 hours on eco cabin 1 with my husband and our two boys, wifi is a god send with a teenager on the trip! Had an excellent two days, two boys loved maggot fishing catching fish constantly kept them entertained. Husband also managed to catch 34 sturgeon just before we left! Am not a outdoor type of person but found the cabin facilities of a good standard log burner was great for colder nights Loved it so much booked to come back again. X

Our first time at Weston Lawns and we couldn’t have wished for a better weekend. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, so a big thank you to everyone for making us so welcome. Really well stocked Bait/equipment shop situated at Reception which you will need if you underestimate the activity when it comes to the fishing.

We stayed on lake 2 and it was really active and well stocked with a variety of fish. During the weekend we caught Carp, Bream, Tench and Perch Float Fishing with Luncheon Meat and Blood Worm Pellets although we did notice most people were fishing off the bottom. In total we caught between 90 - 100 fish over the long weekend.

We will def be coming back, soon.

Just stayed the weekend cabin 10 with the wife daughter and dog had a brill weekend caught some nice fish would definitely recommend to anyone

Just got back from our 1st visit (took the mrs) stayed 3nights in cabin 8. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends had some great sport, fishing virtually straight out of the front door and makes a nice change to have a bit of comfort and watch t.v while waiting for a bite when used to being a bivvy tramp. Not as luxury as some cabins I have stayed in at other venues but it has everything you need and more for a few days fishing and for the price it is brilliant . Will definitely be back!!

The lady looking after the place while we were there was brilliant to, very friendly and definitely puts a lot of effort into her job.

Just come back from a fab weekend in cabin 6, the lake fished well, the cabin was immaculate and clean, well equipped and spacious, Alison on reception was really helpful and nice as she is always is when we have visited before, couldn’t have asked for a better weekend.

Just back from an excellent time away fishing. I booked this after doing some research for my husband who has COPD, but enjoys fishing. It was so nice for him to be able to fish for long spells and not be worn out getting set up etc. To top it all he caught some nice carp and on the last day a sturgeon. I was in charge of the landing net. I enjoyed the break, reading or watching the telly, nice to be able to relax. We hope to be back again next year. Alison, very helpful and knowledgeable. Great holiday x

I have just got home after a 3 day trip to Weston Lawns. All I can say is that this place is great. We stayed in cabin 9 and the fishing was good.



The breakfasts are top notch and really cheap for what you get.



Alison is a real asset to this place she couldn't do enough for us. We will be returning soon

Hospitality was amazing , the lady in reception was lovely and fishing was good had a 14.10lb cat fish out of pool 1 , tackle shop had a good range suited for there lakes �� , the only downfall was cafe not open but was told before our arrival so took food and cooked on the veranda �� definitely returning asap !! So all round a good venue and would recommend this place to friends and family ....

Difinetly 5* when compared to a usual bivvy set up and even better considering the price



in terms of fishing it was a little difficult in our swim was told it was generally one of the less productive cabins

I did manage a couple of carp but there was a cold wind blowing into us which didn't help and the fish seemed to be sitting on the back of it,

Overall a real enjoyable fishing session and a place we will defo be returning to

Hopefully get ourselves a sturgeon next time

Fished cabin 9 for 3 days outstanding place and great fishing I caught 18 fish mainly sturgeon and big bream biggest 18lb cabin was amazing would highly recommend really professional fishery would definitely be back thanks a lot

Well this was probably one of the best fisheries I've been to, stayed in cabin 8 on pool one and had a fantastic time catching 19 carp the biggest being 19lb I didn't have a fish under 10lb, the cabin was really nice to stay in will definitely be going back, was well worth driving nearly 100 miles to go to Weston lawns fisheries, the owners was really nice and good to have a chat with, would recommend this place to anyone ����

Well back from another trip from my favorite fishing venue and yet again another brilliant trip with another pb,I had 26 carp and a cat out this time with average size 17-18 lb and biggest weighing 24lb 6oz,ended up having over 400lb of fish from this trip and about an hours sleep lol,we've been 5 times this year and absolutely love the place,always fell very welcome from Alison and the staff and it was nice to meet nick the owner who is also a very welcoming bloke and nothings to much trouble while your there,if you like a bit of luxury while your fishing and plenty of big fish to go out then this is the place for you,we decided against going abroad for a holiday and booked a full week here instead in August so thank God the Mrs loves the place to, see you all in August,oh and the cafe is bang on compliments to the chief
