High end, exotic Italian bikes are something that we don’t see too much of in the shop but we had the pleasure of building this Colnago Concept the other week with a mixture of campagnolo chorus and record. Bit of an eye catcher this one.

An incredible bike with an incredible paint job. Just finished building up this Trek Madone project one disc in Carrera blue vapour coat. Dura Ace/ultegra DI2, Dura Ace brakes and rotors and a Bontrager Aeolus XXX 6 wheel set. Almost to good to ride. 👌🏼

This custom build got us all thinking in the shop...maybe we do need to add a Scott Scale RC World Cup n1no to our collections 🤔 A very fast, light and capable machine of XC racing pedigree and a pleasure to build. On 24th March 2019 over 150 people entered and rode the 7 Hills Challenge from Freshwater Bay to Sandown Airport. This event has been running for over 20 years and for the past 2 years Wight Mountain and GP Sports have teamed up to keep this renowned Island event on the calendar.
We can no longer run the event as a race but riders are keen to get their best time possible. Therefore as there is no official prize for ‘winning’ we felt we should create an award to acknowledge ...an outstanding rider. This is in the shape of a “Legends Award.”
This first year it has gone to Chris Peck as we were aware that he is currently battling bowel cancer. We were surprised to see him enter let alone finish this gruelling event. Chris has been undergoing treatment to reduce the size of a tumour and rode in the 7 Hills after 5 weeks of combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He is currently waiting to have an operation to remove the tumour. We asked Chris what made him want to take part in the 7 Hills? to which he replied “I always do, I didn’t want to miss out!” He rode the 26 miles with his best friend, Dom Ward who kept him at a steady pace as he knew Chris would ride harder than he probably should.
Wight Mountain and GP Sports would like to give massive respect to Chris who truly deserves to be the first recipient of the Legends Award which will pick up more names for years to come.
