Here at EEF Venues, we strive to encourage active working. Some of the simple, yet effective steps we recommend to team members include using the stairs instead of a lift, having standing or walking meetings and taking regular breaks from working in front of a computer.

What can I say but brilliant. All the staff were more than happy to go out of their way to make our stay celebrating my Mom's 80th birthday brilliant. Kenny in the bar was such a character and made our night perfect and going out of his way to make sure everything was perfect and making a fuss of the "birthday girl" even turning up at breakfast to give her the cork from the bottle of fizz the night before as a memento. Rooms were good but just one note - king size room means "room" not "bed". They had dealt with ordering flowers for our table and again these were perfect - thank you everyone at Woodland Grange for making our stay a special one that we will remember for a long time.

User

We stayed in a beautiful room that had floor to ceiling windows which gave it he wow factor. Staff were extremely friendly and it was a pleasurable stay.

Just wrapped up from a weekend conference for our Executive team and overall experience for service - 5/5. Staff were exceptionally helpful from the catering team, reception team, cleaning staff, and maintenance staff.

Rooms I will rate at 5/5 - lots of space in the bedroom, but cramped in the bathroom. Also moderating room temperature is something to consider. Overall lovely decor throughout.

Cleanliness - 4/5 - had a few items to raise but they were dealt with right away.

Food - 5/5 some choices based on personal pallet preference, but I enjoyed the variety available over the course of the weekend. The team serving also gave A Star service.

It's an amazing place we have been going there every year this year will be our 9th from front desk to cleaning staff plus chef and waitressing staff are all amazing too. The food is outstanding and they cater for my sons needs nothing is too much trouble and they have been really good with my little boy he was the first baby ever to stay and each year they all remember him roll on may can't wait!!!!

User

I am literally back from teaching at the RGA weekend convention. I am utterly grateful for the exceptional service. I love the real coffee bean coffee machines and the endless freshly baked cookies. Clean and tidy, lovely staff. I had the vegetarian curry at lunch and it was SUPERB. Much thanks to yet another awesome time.

User

Great hotel, room was lovely overlooking fields. Staff very friendly. Great breakfast. A little disappointed with a fairly limited menu for dinner, but the food we ordered was of a good quality. Would certainly recommend.

User

Absolutely enjoyed our stay last night. The bed was so comfortable I had a really great sleep. The room was big too. The breakfast this morning was one of the best I've had. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

The facilities were wonderful absolutely stunning inside and out Look forward to staying again.

Thankyou to everyone for making it an wonderful stay.

Set in beautiful grounds hotel clean rooms are nice . However my evening meal was disappointing it took 45mins to arrive and then had to be taken back which took another 30mins and to be honest didn't taste very nice at all ..

User

I arrived at the hotel at 6.30pm after just driven from ipswich which took me just over 3 hrs, after checking in all I wanted to do was eat but I was told by the restaurant manager that the earliest I could eat was 8.30pm which was over an hour wait. I decided to order room service but was told the same, I ordered fish & chips at 8.30pm and it was delivered to my room by 9.00pm, I'm really glad I waited because the meal was superb !!!

User

Great building set in lovely grounds. Room was very comfortable with non-hotel like door. The whole building was very stylish. Good shower, great bed. Unfortunately we didn't have the view I was expecting, otherwise easily 5*

All staff were very friendly and professional and we were very pleased with the vegetarian offerings at dinner and breakfast. We are looking forward to returning even though we have not made plans to, and hope for a room with a better view.

Also, great value for money.

User

Reception staff very warm and welcoming, unfortunately on arrival to our room it was evident housekeeping hadn't checked the room properly from the previous guests as there was an unwelcome gift of dirty pants in the wardrobe, this was quickly dealt with by very apologetic staff, as was out tv not working . The dinner service was very slow on our 1st night but much improved by the second. Although our cocktail making experience was demonstrated by a lovely lad the actual experience fell way below expectations. Nice food and a good selection for breakfast

User

I stayed there as part of a large group this weekend. My room was large and comfortable with nice views over the grounds.

The 2 dinners that we had in a private dining room was a shambles. Although we had ordered our choices in advance the meal took over 2 hours, on both evenings, to complete! There were very long waits to be served the first of three courses followed by very long waits between the next two courses. Sadly, when the food was eventually served it was tepid and tasteless.

On the second evening the slow roasted shoulder of lamb came as a tepid cake of minced meat, instead of juicy slices that we had expected, served with a tepid gravy (which arrived long after we had attempted to eat). The beans & carrots were hard & tepid.

That night I went to bed hungry.

At breakfast each morning we had to wait too long for tea & coffee to be served.

At the buffet lunch on our last day there was only 1 guy carving the meat so the queue stretched around the room!

I suggested to staff that plates should be repositioned so guests could help themselves to salad whilst waiting for the meat. I also suggested to staff to reposition the large gravy jug so that guests could help themselves to gravy instead the carver puting down his knife and fork each time, in order to serve gravy on each plate.

Sadly, bad memories of the hotel.

I can’t recommend this hotel.

User

Great venue! Little things were letting it down like no air con in bedrooms and staff were not friendly and to be honest, not helpful.Felt like we didn't matter and such a shame in a beautiful setting. Not what you want or pay for in a hotel of this standing.

User

Unfortunately charged for the room on arrival even though I had already paid when I booked it 3 weeks ago. Although rectified a bit of a nuisance having to sort it out. The room hasn't been serviced correctly before our arrival. E.g.. only one cup for tea but 2 of us booked in. Bathroom items missing. Again all rectified but tiresome as it should have been done. Now got in to bed and was going to put my jewellery in the bedside draw only to be faced with a lump of sticky chewing gum. Surely this should be checked? How disgusting. Definitely not deserving of the stars you have. Extremely disappointed.

User

I stayed here about 3 years ago. Then, it was superb, the restaurant menu was in my view sophisticated and the standard of food was truly delicious. This time, the room was small, cramped, as it had a sloping ceiling, I couldn't get to my bedside cupboard, it was a twin room, there were two of us, female friends. We were only supplied enough towels, cups, water for one and had to ring reception. The menu is very limited, lacks imagination and what we received was mediocre. I had a noodle dish with chicken and prawns, which were an additional extra. The chicken was so hard that it lept off my plate onto the floor when I tried to get my fork into it. My friends meal should have had asparagus, hence why she chose it. Apparently they had ran out. The offerings at breakfast were the same, mushrooms sitting in oil, as were the scrambled eggs. The bacon was extremely salty. There was obviously a conference on, but if that's the market they want to attract and not just anyone coming to Lemington for the weekend, then look at your marketing. Very disappointing all around. Never again. I will also add a review on TripAdvisor.

Rooms are stupidly hot with a pathetic fan supplied. Hair dryer wouldn't dry anything and didn't turn on and off so had to be unplugged everytime I needed to brush my hair.

Windows don't open much.

Hallways full of rubbish

Rude cleaner.

Beds comfy but couldn't sleep for the heat.

No shampoo in the room.

And a fellow friend/guest had half his room cut off by a call. Deffinaly not tall people friends in that room.
