Today I learnt that using the word "dark" to describe a comic is the same as using the word "smooth" to describe a whisky. I shan't be using that word ever again! Thanks to the awesome staff at Nostalgia Comics for helping me out at my first experience buying comics!

This shop is fantastic. I'm not a total beginner when it comes to comics but I'm certainly not the most knowledgeable. The staff here have great knowledge and can't do enough to help you find what you're looking for, even from the littlest bit of information to work with. The amount of stock here is mind blowing and it's coupled with a fantastic array of merchandise too (Pop Vinyls, art, figurines, cereal bowls etc).

I visit this place on every trip to Birmingham.

Taking my son to Birmingham he was only interested in visiting this store. We walked into happy friendly staff and reggae and ska music playing. As it turns out it was myself that had to be restrained from buying all and sundry as it's a magical place and returned me a childhood lost in adulthood and responsibility. Thankyou for this and all of the posters are now hanging on the walls to remind me that adulthood can be fun and do give in to the child within. We will return soon and i can't honestly wait.

So I came into your shop today for the first time and was helped out by the surfer that works up stairs he could not of been more helpful and nice what a top gezzer! Il be back!

User

Really impressed with Nostalgia FP - a good selection of new comics, nice array of variants - really, really well priced and LOVELY selection of bronze and silver age titles. Staff all consistently helpful and happy to bring out additional boxes to rummage through whilst chewing the fat. Toys and paraphernalia also available and well represented as you'd expect, but the nice selection of bronze and silver is the abiding memory I came away with.

In short, would heartily recommend Nostalgia and Comics as a good solid comic shop offering some old fashioned delight.

User

Popped in this morning and loved the place. A proper comic shop with bags of choice, reasonable prices and a back issues section I could spend days in

User

Paid a visit to these guys last week and it's the best comic book shop I've ever been in! Incredible looking shop with something for everyone. The section for back issues upstairs is perfect. The guy who helped me out upstairs was really knowledgable and seemed to really enjoy helping me out with some great suggestions. Can't recommend this place enough!

User

My favourite place to go in Birmingham for all things geeky! I'm especially happy that my boyfriend got some Deadpool goodies with his purchases, and when I said how I wanted a Deadpool beanie too, the girl who served us gave me a set of Deadpool goodies as well! AWESOME!

Just awesome shop, awesome staff. If you're visiting Birmingham, make sure to take a trip to Nostalgia! :D

I've been a regular at NC since I was a young kid (talking early 80's) so I've always loved the place. Today's visit was excellent as always. Really friendly staff and great choice of products. Love that they still have the same posters on the walls for all these years. I still want that Cobra poster from the old Futurist cinema. Keep up the great work.

User

User

Great crew working there, customer service is top notch, fantastic knowledge of comics new and old and the selection of comics goes far beyond the regular super-hero stuff. Don't go upstairs if you don't want to spend money, so much choice there! ;)

Geek-pool collectables Last Dread-I and Madame Geek-pool found the best kept secret in the Midlands on our day out in Birmingham. Staff were so friendly and helpful I managed to buy some great Geeky gems. Already planning our next trip. I can see myself losing myself in the huge back catalogue of comics. Soooooooooooooo much space to find those groovy comics at great prices. As a regular Comic Con trader it takes a lot for me to get excited about somewhere. But the guys (more than staff) made us welcome it felt more like popping round to see friends than entering a store. than once I was told 'please ask to see anything. Just because you look doesn't mean you have to buy'. A breath of fresh air and a glimpse back in time for me to how Comic book shops should be run. Highly recommended to all our 1st Family of Awesomeness and Geek-pool collectables and The Last Dread-I approved! Mat Brandford... (Chickety-khah)

Brilliant shop, brought the kids 9th December, there idea of heaven on earth. A big thanks to the gentleman working upstairs you took the time to chat to my kids about the comics they were looking for, they both left the shop very happy, will definitely be back in the new year.

User

Absolutely fantastic service. Despite returning to the store at 5:25 (We are the worst people), they welcomed us in to make a purchase. I'd been hankering for some of the Batman Animated figures, and talked myself into buying the Etrigan two pack.

After grabbing it from the top shelf, I was asked "Do you know the rhyme?"

Crap, I thought, it been ages since I watched the show... and for whatever reason my brain blurted it out. Apparently I was correct, and was met with a discount at the till. This made my day:

1) Yay years of knowledge that most would consider useless had paid off.

2) This store is run by fans for fans. They make you feel welcome. The prices are reasonable. They know what you're on about, despite your vague recollections about what you're after.

Can't recommend Nostalgia enough.

User

We love this place. Would of been a 5 * but i don't know how much longer i can struggle getting my disabled husband in/out of store. Staff are always on offer to help. But it shouldn't be down to them. Please install ramps. Save the hassel of your disabled customers getting hurt coming in/out and their carers.

User

Wasn't really a fan of the customer service I received today by the person on the counter, literally asked where the rick and morty section was to perhaps buy a lanyard, mug, pop vinyl, to only be spoken to and shrugged off like my question wasn't valued.

I was quite happy to spend money on things but the way I was spoken too just put me off, :/
