I went to the abbey for a Christmas party and it was lovely. The service was excellent and the food was pretty good considering it was large scale catering. The venue is remote so expect a long cab journey unless you are driving or staying over.

Good for a one night business trip but that's about it. Tired features trying to hard to be a classic hotel. Such a shame, beautiful building but poor investment into furnishings and decor.

I recently got married at Wroxall and there were an array of issues. Clearly, they don’t seem to be able to organise weddings well because even their wedding coordinator left and I was left with a member of the sales team who didn’t really know what to do either - especially when it came to organising a document needed for serving alcohol. At one point, I didn’t know whether I was going to be able to serve all the alcohol I’d paid for because of their incompetence.

The marquee doesn’t get washed so it was a bit of a state. I was lucky that my decor team did such an amazing job to hide all their issues, including their awful flooring and chairs.

During the evening, the lighting wouldn’t work so my guests were in near darkness and even when we went to complain, there was no one around. Honestly, the customs service was horrendous.

The toilets weren’t even looked at - despite having an event there all day!

We then had issues at checkout - we ended up paying twice for things that had already been paid for and now that I’m trying to chase things up, no one gets back to you.

I’ve complained before and after the wedding and I’m still waiting for a response - the worst customer service I’ve ever had to deal with.

I really enjoyed the hotel and it's history. It was great exploring the hotel, the church, and the abbey ruins. It didn't seem like they had enough people on staff, but otherwise it was a good night stay.

I did not stay here, I had booked it for a corporate event at work and booked in 10 colleagues from around the world. The hotel is beautiful, set in stunning grounds and is extremely impressive upon arrival. My colleagues loved it (particularly the Americans) and appreciated being somewhere non corporate, with lots of character. The staff were professional and friendly and dinner in Sonnets restaurant was a huge success. I would like to thank Paula Venn, the corporate sales manager, for all her help. She was always happy to make the many amendments I had along the way and was always at the end of the phone when I needed her.

Had wonderful two nights stay here with my wife. Managed to get a nice deal with a few extras included so I recommend checking their website for those. Has nice comfy rooms with a relaxing bar lounge and restaurant. Has a lovely pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym too. Views are good and is in nice location, close to places of interest.

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds. The staff, although not enough, are incredibly polite and courteous. Dinner was amazing, with waiters rushing to fill your wine glass when needed. What let the hotel down in my opinion was the lack of staff to meet you at breakfast. Guests came in, with no idea what to do, with room numbers not checked, infact anyone could have wandered in without paying and the hotel probably loses a lot of money in this way. The spa was filthy; we reported it to reception but it was still messy the following morning, with discarded swimming trunks still on the floor together with towels and slippers from the spa just abandoned as the linen basket was overflowing with used towels.
It's such a shame as the hotel is absolutely beautiful and could do so much better with a few simple changes

We visited for a Ladies spa weekend. This was a second visit. The spa facilities are excellent with pool, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna. There are lots of beauty treatments available which need to be booked and Espa products are used. Food is available at any time and is of a high standard. The hotel is large and needs updating but is very comfortable and clean.

Will call again.

My favourite hotel. No two rooms are the same. The staff are friendly and helpful. The views are as though painted, beautiful.

The hotel was lovely and still has a lot of its old features and charm. The staff were only all to happy to help. The beds were comfortable but maybe on the soft side. The spa area is nice but on the small side, the sauna is a squeeze for 4 for instance. The treatments are very competitive and my massage was excellent. Food was very good

My meal in the evening was cold. I ordered Turkey but it was rolled turkey which I wouldn't have ordered if it had stated this because it is tasteless. The Staff overall were very helpful although a little dizzy at times. The bed was very comfortable & the room adequate although the fan in the bathroom would not turn off even when the room card was taken out of the socket & it was very noisy all night & we were not impressed when the housekeeper walked in without knocking at 8-45 am & we were still in bed. We pre ordered hot breakfast but after arriving at 9-20 found there was very little left no sausages & only scrambled egg
