In the heart of the town, the Wynnstay Hotel & Spa is home to individually designed rooms, stylish bars, popular restaurants and a luxury spa. With 31 newly refurbished stylish bedrooms and functions rooms to cater for up to 180 guests.
Wynnstay Hotel And Spa Description
The Wynnstay Hotel is set in a Georgian building and features an award-winning restaurant, 2 bars and a fitness centre. A full English breakfast is served every morning.
The old stable block at the back of Wynnstay was turned into a luxurious fitness club with an indoor pool, sauna, jet spa, steam room and 3 treatment rooms.
The Four Seasons Restaurant offers traditional cuisine as well as lighter, more creative dishes, many with a Mediterranean or Italian influence. The Pavillion lounge bar serves good value bar meals every day of the week and Wilsons Bar & Courtyard serves coffee, lunches, wine and ales.
The centre of Oswestry, with its shops, bars and restaurants, is a short walk away. The nearest golf club, Mile End Golf Club, is a 5-minute drive away.

What a hidden gem! We had the early bird menu yesterday very good choice of meals the portion sizes are just right and the menu states if they are vegetarian gluten free etc which is helpful we had the sushi and mushroom & spinach on a muffin for starters and sea bass and belly pork for mains could not fault any of it. The waitress was very efficient and helpful and very friendly. Well worth a visit we will be back. Keep up the good work
Were treated to a spa day by family ......fantastic! And the back , shoulder and neck massage was wonderful , great facilities as in jacuzzi , pool, sauna etc and the prosecco afternoon tea was divine! Can't wait till the next time!!!
We had a lovely spa break x food was amazing and loving the cocktails served in the bar next door at wilsons x staff throughout the hotel and health Spa were helpful and very welcoming x Spa treatment did the trick came home a very relaxed lady x A lovely trip overall and will most definitely be returning x Great value for money x
Thankyou for the perfect wedding reception staff were great, food was amazing, the venue is the perfect setting we all had an amazing time and to end the night in that room was so lovely. Would recommend you to anyone
Taking a step back in time
Stayed here last night. Was pleasantly surprised. Had a homely feel with very good food and beer/catering last night and friendly staff. Room was nice and welcoming and comfortable.used the spa for an hour most enjoyable . Excellent breakfast this morning thanks
Nice hotel good staff food was nice really comfy bed didn't get up till 10/40 this morning room was good tried the spa that was good parking was ok tele was not working but that was ok as I didn't want to watch it anyway windows were massive bathroom was lovely good carpet would definitely stay again didn't try the breakfast but sure that would of been nice
My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I have just returned from a free nights stay with breakfast following problems during a previous stay. Our faith has been restored and we enjoyed excellent refurbished rooms, delicious breakfast and evening meals and friendly helpful staff ! ...well done Wynnstay and thank you !
Lovely hotel with excellent service and food. Rooms of a high standard, most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, and room and bathroom spotless. Spa facilities excellent with professional and friendly service. Cant fault it, everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay a special one.
It's easy to give a five star rated review for the Wynnstay Hotel for our visit and food yesterday. We had an early bird menu, with three courses, four guests, and each meal a different choice, we have never been disappointed with the quality of food, or variety of menu choice. Taste and presentation is always a treat. It's a guaranteed win with this place, with attentive staff and a good atmosphere. Last night (Friday) it was full house, and the service as always was spot on with a smile included. Well done the Wynnstay Hotel & Spa.
I won the afternoon tea for two to watch the royal wedding. I took my mum and we both had a lovely time. Food was very nice & the atmosphere was great. Thank you ��
I loved the whole time we were there, the sauna, steam room, hot tub, the treatments, the afternoon tea, all was brilliant. the only criticism I have is that there were not sufficient lounging chairs around the pool. The lounging chairs that were there, about 8, were being occupied by peoples robes, a bit like the germans around the pool on holiday abroad. But that was not the fault of Wynnstays, it was a fault of the selfish people in the pool.
I booked a meal for my daughter`s 18th celebration. We were greeted by Paul who made us feel very welcome. A great meal all-round. My steak was one of the best I`ve had with lovely side veg cooked to perfection. Suffice to say we will be coming back. Thanks to all the staff for a great time.
Husband took me for Sunday lunch. Very attentive staff and luxurious surroundings. Welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Home made veg soup and asparagus were lovely starters. Main course portions were huge!! Roast beef and Turkey were sliced thickly and cooked to perfection. Accompanied by good selection of fresh veg. Great value for money at £15 For 2 courses
Great 4 days here. Staff so friendly. Spa and pool added bonus and also Wilsons bar. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for making our 48th anniversary such fun.
We will be back soon but hope our Golden wedding will be here in 2 years.
First ever we went out for Christmas lunch - amazon no atmosphere the service was second to none the food first class everything from start to finish was top class we all had a fab day and cannot wait to join you next year

Brilliant boxing day lunch, the 3 course meal was faultless and beautifully presented, attentive and polite service, and the pianist was very good which was a bonus! Undoubtedly one of the best places to eat in Shropshire, will be going back in the new year.
Food and service was generally good, but lacked attention to detail. If you are going to itemise all the ingredients on the menu then please ensure that is what your server on the plate for example rocket is not the same as pea shoots, a nutty biscuit is not a substitute for a chocolate encased wafer and I am sure confit (“meat cooked slowly in its own fat” ) potatoes don’t exit. What you served me was a fondant potato.
