We had my nans birthday meal there last weekend. Our waiter was really friendly laughing and joking with us all the way through! My sister was coming later so her food arrived for her just as she got there. Great meal so thanks to all the chefs, great atmosphere, would definitely recommend to everyone! =) thanks for a great time and thanks to our waiter for putting up with our group! You were ace!

User

Mothers day meal was lovely, a real treat and all my family enjoyed it too.

I would recommend the roasts, plenty of meat and trimmings.

User

Love this place, when living abroad when visiting family we would stay here, their Eggs Benedict at breakfast is sooo good. Now we’re back living in Worcester and we’ve visited with friends recently (total of 9) had a great meal and service was good.

Today visited again at lunchtime with friends visiting from abroad, ordered a sandwich which was really tasty. A big thank you to Sam and Jordan you were so friendly and helpful.

User

I love the atmosphere in this pub. The staff are always friendly and the food has always been fantastic value for money. The value menu is always a favourite and both the chilli and the fish and chips are lovely. Special mention has to go to Jacob who has a great rapport with the customers in the dining room. Needless to say, we always pop in on regular visits to the city.

User

Hotel staff is great the food is good and the pub has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. It is my second time staying here and I will definitely be coming back

User

Only been in the place twice in three years when on day trips to Worcester, ordered fish and chips both times really enjoyed them. Call in again probably a couple of years time.

User

Lovely fish and chips, but spoilt by the wooden platter..could actually taste the wood..bit like fish and chips lollipop...

User

I stayed here overnight and I found it really good. Old fashioned and quirky. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

User

Didn’t meet the ghost , slept well and enjoy an wonderful breakfast . The staff were very helpful and make the stay an pleasure , would recommend 💥

User

Beautiful 13th century coach house full of character, staff really friendly and nothing too much trouble, room was lovely and comfy and the shower was super powerful! The only downside was some of the food, had a shared starter which was ok, steak was cooked to perfection, but the desert had to be sent back, had the chocolate torte which was just a melted blob on the plate, such a shame, as the prosecco sorbet was gorgeous!

User

The chef knows what he is doing and housekeeping is competent but that is about it. Poorly managed. No attention to customer requirements. I pre ordered flowers and chocolates for the room but no show. Fire alarm practice while we were in our room but not told. No roast dinners left by 6.45 on Sunday. Waiter not trained to say anything other than 'Is your food okay?'.Kids running amok in the bar at 8 unchallenged. It lacked a mature and experienced member if staff who understands the business to get a grip. It has gone downhill since I last stayed here. I would not stay here again.

User

I know its Olde but the furniture is uncomfortable and badly stained. The floor has no surface left at all. Had a drink but didnt try the food. Someone ordered a baked potato and prawns, that was all that was in the plate... nit even a lettuce leaf or tomato on the side. Didn’t look very appetizing

User

Been in a few times, enjoyed the atmosphere and the drinks, would prefer a better cider but I will live with that but the last few times I have been in the staff seem to be no where to be seen and last night we were in there and only 1 person seemed to be on the bar for a while and a numberous of people walked in and went back out after waiting for 5 mins to be served? More staff maybe required on busy nights

User

We had our Christmas dinner on the 25th December at the old Talbot and me and my family were very disappointed. The food was ok but when your paying £65 per person you expect better than ok. We did all say the starters were very nice but you can't really go wrong with soup. It was just that nothing was special and that's what you expect on Christmas Day from the paper table clothes, packet stuffing and still frozen desert to the help yourself to tea and coffee and the cheese selection that was left out on the side throughout the meal (also help yourself) like I said ok but disappointing. If someone asked me to recommend a place for Christmas Day next year I would not recommend the old Talbot.

User

So many reasons not to stay in this hovel of a so called hotel.....bad staff need a course in customer relations...smile n be courteous occasionally. ...food was microwaved and overcooked to the point of being a frazzled mess ....we didn't reorder after sending good back to the kitchen and waitress thought the good looked ok....hmmmm.....bedroom was Dusty n a few cobwebs behind furniture and bathroom door.....overall the place is grubby and in need of a refurb...

User

Pub is clean and tidy had pie mash and mushy peas all good but no gravy!!!!!!! So very dry wife had gammon and that was quite salty so 3out of 10 for food better food in weatherspoons

User

Having stopped here a few times eaten here a lot of times this will be the last time I will eat 7 pounds for half a rack of ribs was it a cat the smallest rack of ribs I ever seen 3 small ribs

User

Food was awful, 2 of the 3 of us ended up not paying. My chicken had a weird taste & smell & the chips & corn on the cob were cold.

The roasted veg on another plate was burned.

The waitress we complained to was so rude & unprofessional, disgusting attitude, screwed the bill up in temper like a child.

Avoid at all costs!

User

Been many times before but today was my birthday met friends and meal was crap had a sirlion steak which was just grissile not good for any meal at any time very dissatisfied.
