Hello out there! We recently held our second internal cocktail competition!
Square Cross Hills were a fantastic host, featuring the return of Daniel Elrick, Darien Ellis-Cooper & Aaron Horner alongside new competition from Michael Temelkovski & Kieran Walton. Cross Hills took the win, congratulations to Daniel & Darien, JOINT WINNERS!!

We went yesterday food was lovely one waitress/bar staff seating people and serving she did really well to do everything on her own and with a smile on her face too. Main area booths were full so young girl opened the conservatory bit. Other pubs/restaurants should take notice if you want customers to return customer service is paramount we will be coming again and would highly recommend

Visited last night for my daughters 16th birthday. We were a party of 21 and we loved it. We pre ordered food due to being so many of us and everything was perfect. The staff are lovely. The bar staff sygested cocktails and even made a few concontions up specially for us. The cocktails are fab and the food was amazing. This was our second visit and we will back. I also love the vibe and can see a night out here on the cards.

Unbelievable portions of outstanding food , I would eat here 7 nights a week if my wife would let me

This was our first visit and we were truly impressed. Although it was late afternoon when we arrived we still enjoyed amazing food cooked by the equally amazing Chef. Atmosphere was warm and friendly and decor is so tastefully done. We certainly recommend the 22 Bar & Smokehouse and hope to be back soon.

This place is amazing!

Amazing, freshly prepared food, fantastic, friendly staff. Always a warm welcome. Fantastic cocktails too and good advice on different tipples.

Lovely decor and very, very clean.

We've visited a few times now and I dare say we'll be back again soon ;)

Lovely venue. Food was nice and very reasonable - good portion sizes. All staff from bar to security (who came to get us when our taxi arrived) were helpful and polite. Music was a tad too loud whilst dining but that's the only criticism I have. We will be back.

Id give it 11/10 excellent food and service at a reasonable price , go try this place you wont be disappointed.

Had a lovely meal there tonight, I had the pulled pork and sweet potato fries with goats cheese. My husband has the smokehouse platter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was fab and decor and range of drinks is brill. Well worth a try.

Great food and great service, the steak is on point will be returning

Good choice for Valentine’s Day. Staff cleaned the table specially so we could sit next to the window. Expensive food and drink but worth paying abit extra for a special occasion.

First time here yesterday and we loved it. We sat in the bar area ( resturant was full ) which made my fella happy as football was on. All food was amazing as was the service we will deffintly be back again very soon.

Are here for the first time today. Arrived right on the change between breakfast and dinner, they allowed us to pick a meal from each menu.



Two girls behind the bar were polite, cheerful and very helpful (rare these days)



I had natcho’s and the wife had pulled pork beans on toast. Both were faultless.



Will defo return here soon

Amazing food, amazing staff and fabulous customer service. Very reasonable prices and a great feel throughout the whole restaurant. Great cocktails as well � will be a regular customer with my children and family and recommend to all. A*****

Had the lunch menu. Halloumi and mushroom wrap it was gorgeous , I really enjoyed it, but as I have brain cancer a room without loud music would have been nice

Service was 5star from the lad behind the bar and the girl waitress. Went on a Tuesday night,I’ve seen quite a few reviews about music being too loud. Wasn’t loud when we were there and was just playing nicely in the background. It was quite quiet at 6:30pm ish which I’m not bothered about. The food tasted really nice at the time and the Hallumi Fries(not sure on how it’s spelt but it’s the squeaky cheese) are to die for!! The only thing we have to mark down on is how much salt they must put on food. probably too much salt on the starter and main (burger and sweet potato fries). We felt like we needed a drip to keep us hydrated over night and you don’t want to be up every half an hour through the night having a drink of water because of food you’ve eaten. You might understand if it was a takeaway.. I think ill give them the benefit of the doubt and try there again at some point.. hopefully I’ll be able to give a better review. It’s a shame because you can tell they want to make it a great place to be and it could be if they hopefully take on peoples opinions on board �

Just had a meal on a very quiet Thursday night food was ok service was shocking! No check back left with empty plates for over an hour 4 members of staff on to 3 tables in the whole place no drinkers either! No excuse for such bad service! Bill wasn’t cheap either waste of money won’t be returning for food!

I have mixed feelings about the 22 Bar & smokehouse. The bar tender was very friendly and knowledgable about the drinks and recommended cocktails. We were a table of 9 booked for dinner. The food was tasty however you feel like your eating dinner in a nightclub. The music got really loud, I mean the vibe was great but the venue just feels a bit confused. Overall we all had a great night but I would most likely only eat there on week nights or weekend afternoons. Great place for the city centre feel on a Saturday night.

Booked a meal tonight to celebrate my birthday, the food was lovely, but had to ask to be moved as a group was so noisey also other people did the same. Never asked if we wanted a sweet not good service, dissapointed.
