Perfect ! I found my dream wedding dress at Abigails and it was the first dress I tried on! I had no idea what I was looking for but went in the shop to just have a look, my dress just caught my eye and I knew it was the one for me straight away. The staff were absolutely amazing and let me try it on there and then which I didn't expect. I was with my daughter and we were offered a glass of bubbly each which was lovely! Every fitting I had the staff were so helpful and friendly and we were always offered a glass of bubbly. I married in Cyprus on 30th June and the staff packed my dress perfectly for me the day before our flight, they also gave me a card, an old coin in a pouch for good luck and a bottle of champagne! Such a lovely touch. My dress was perfect for marrying abroad and I got to wear it again as we celebrated once home with family and friends so I got to feel like a princess twice over. Everyone commented on how beautiful my dress was - especially my groom. A huge thank to all at Abigails for helping making my wedding day perfect, love Cheryl Stabler x

Just wanted to leave a review after visiting Abigail’s bridal boutique yesterday for my first dress trying on appointment. Being a very nervous person with little confidence I can honestly say I wouldn’t have wished to go anywhere else for my first appointment. Lois was patient and so helpful and made the fact you are stood in your underwear and heels for quite a while a less daunting experience �



They have a huge collection of stunning dresses in the shop so definately go have a look.



I didn’t catch the name of the other ladies who were equally so lovely. Thanks to my maid of honour for finding this gem we will be back soon. �

I would like to say a massive thank you to all at Abigail’s who made my dress absolutely perfect! After telling them I would be 6months pregnant for my wedding (after buying my dress!) there was no hesitation to make things perfect! Alterations had to be made and it turned out perfect! X

I have recently just bought my wedding dress from abigails, the staff in there are amazing and helped me find the perfect dress!! I have just read a comment with a 1 star rating and I don’t understand how you have come up with this rating?? Unless you entered a completely different shop??!! I have been in a few times now and not once did this shop look like a jumble sale!! Margaret and her staff are so friendly and helpful! I very much doubt that such a professional business have asked you to remove your rating and comment but in my opinion as a customer I think you should!! Everything you have wrote nobody else seems to agree with!!

I have being a few times to Abigails which is where I found my dream dress. The staff are lovely and couldn't have being more helpful and patient with me. I have had doubts since purchasing my dress and they have let me go back numerous times too see it. I would highly recommend for any bride to go here. They even took my 6 year old daughter to look at flower girl dresses and took her too try it on in the next dressing room to me to make her feel special and part of the experience. Needless to say ideas in tears over seeing my daughter look so beautiful and also over my dress. They offered all my party a drink the minute we walked through the door and not just bubbles. Margaret has also being on hand when I have phoned up as well. Definitely highly recommend xx

I got married last weekend and really wanted to leave a review for Abigail’s. Not only did I have a warm welcome and a fun time with my mum and sister trying on dresses, I was helped immensely by all the staff to find my perfect dress. They are friendly, helpful, up front about costs and happy to answer any questions. When I went for my fitting every little detail that needed altering was done and they taught me how to sit/stand etc on my wedding day. The number of people who commented on my dress made me feel incredible on the big day and it wouldn’t have happened without you guys. Thank you so much!

I came in for my first appointment yesterday for my wedding in January 2019. It was the first time I had ever tried any wedding dresses on. I fell in love with the first dress I tried! Not only did I get my dress, my bridesmaids and flower girl also got theirs and both my mum and mother of the groom also got their outfits. We had such a fun day, Margaret was so kind and helpful and I felt like a million dollars. Thank you so much! ��

I absolutely loved every second of finding my beautiful dress from start to finish Margret and her girls were amazing we had a fab experience on every occasion we went into the shop.

I collected my dress Tuesday and before I left with it Margret handed me a gift bag which nearly had us all in tears (managed to keep it together).

I would recommend everyone to go here for the warm, friendly, fun and special (because that’s how they all the staff make you feel including the lovely seamstresses that are here too) wedding dress experience � thank you so much I can not wait to walk down the isle on Saturday xxxx

After trying on what felt like 5000 wedding dresses in about 8 different shops I had lost all hope of finding my perfect dress, until I walked into this shop! I immediately fell in love with one of the first dresses I tried on! Brilliant customer service & a lovely glass of fizz was offered straight away - which was more than needed after the stress of trying to find the dress I had pictured in my head! My beautiful dress got so many compliments on our big day & I’m super sad it’s not socially acceptable to wear wedding dresses all the time or I definitely would! ��

Absolutely loved my experience in Abigails Bridal boutique. After a long few months of dress shopping i was beginning to think i would never find the perfect dress. I went to the shop feeling a little bit deflated not knowing what i was even looking for anymore. That's when Margaret and the girls put me at ease and promised me I would find it here with their help. Absolutely amazing experience!! I first visited earlier this year and was looked after by the lovely Lois, my bridesmaids and I had our refreshments topped up and we felt so comfortable and very well looked after. We were not rushed at all and made to feel at ease from the moment we walked in! I found an absolutely stunning dress that I felt was 'the one' in here amongst such an amazing selection in all sizes (not just the smaller sample sizes) and after having visited a couple more bridal shops in and around Leeds over the last few months....nothing compares to Abigail's!!!! Their selection of dresses is excellent, the service I received was outstanding, the staff so complimentary and helpful, and having gone back in last week to re-try on 'the one' I purchased it immediately! Thank you so much Lois for all your help and I will definitely be recommending you to future brides, having been recommended to visit you guys myself!!! You have made my dress buying experience easy, exciting and perfect!!! Faultless!!!! Xxx

Would give this shop 0 stars if it was possible. From the moment we walked in this morning for our appointment we felt judged. Immediately the lady was dismissive and unhelpful- “all the dresses in here are £199-210 and if you can’t afford to pay that you may aswell go..” to quote her. She then went on to say there’s no way we’d find a dress within budget in any of the high street stores such as Debenhams or house of Fraser. She wouldn’t even let us try dresses on and then try to up sell as normal dress shops would. Well guess what, we’ve not only found a Beautiful dress in House of Fraser... it was only £70. I’ll be telling everyone to not go here- I’m embarrassed for her. Terrible service and terrible dresses.

We had been looking for bridesmaid dresses all day in Leeds and nearly gave it up as a bad job but decided to google bridal shops around the area and found Abigail’s bridal boutique so rung up to see if we needed an appointment, they did but luckily had a free slot which now I know why it was empty. The woman who greeted us was really nice to my bridesmaids saying how nice they looked in the dresses that they had picked but was extremely rude to me (THE BRIDE!) telling me that I should be sorting my dress out before there’s and that I was pushing it a bit close to the wedding baring in mind I’m not getting married till March 2019.



Then I was just browsing at a few dresses for myself at the ones next to the bridesmaid dresses that were sale and were in size order but I didn’t take much notice to the size was just looking for styles but she jumped straight in saying they would definitely not fit me asking me what size I was and asking if I wanted to try anything on and I said no thank you wanting to lose some weight and she basically laughed in my face saying there is no point at this stage and would no way get to my target.



Then before I know it I was in the fitting room and she didn’t even ask what styles I liked just brought me the most hideous dress known to man I took one look and said no and she jumped down my throat with what’s wrong with it I was like I don’t like boobtube, the plainness of it and the colour don’t even get me started was more a browny cream let’s just say it looked like she found one at the back of cupboard and thought why not. So anyway took that off to try a lace dress on which wasn’t too bad still not my cup of tea but getting somewhere with actually listening to me with the lace idea but again a boobtube she kept saying don’t worry we can sew some cap sleeves on I was like can I not just try a dress on that isn’t a boobtube and have to pay more for some sleeves and there were lots of other choices but anyway finally got out of there.



Just wanted to say that was the worst experience of my life and to say that was the first dress shop I had been in and the first dresses that I tried on the customer service was appalling definitely needs some pointers!!! Maybe ask what the bride is looking for for a start not telling her what she needs because you know everything which you clearly don’t because those two dresses you say really suited me I could see the looks on my maid of honours that it was a big fat no no and I know for a fact I don’t suit that style so might need to brush up on that!! But this experience is meant to be all about what the bride wants yes fair enough listen to what advice you have to say but at least consider what the bride wants and yes I know you have to try every style out which I am very open to doing but does not appreciate being shouted at if I don’t like the certain style that you picked out because I never got to pick one but I guess it wasn’t an official appointment which I understand but then saying oh if you book an appointment you will get to try some nice dresses on so what were they that I just tried on!!! Also very overpriced bridesmaid dresses!!



Well it’s safe to say I will never be going back there again!!! So AVOID this bridal shop at all cost!!!!

Horrible experience with this Boutique. I went in and explained I was struggling to find a dress as I was very nervous to start looking (I went in cowardly and was very softly spoken). This elderly shop assistant didn't greet me and had no interest in my circumstances- she simply asked when the wedding was, and when I said 3 months away, the shop assistant blew up at me pompously explaining that there's no way I can get a dress now, as most dresses are done to order and their dresses take "MONTHS!". I stood there in shock and felt absolutely terrified, as I'd been really spoken down to and made to feel like the smallest person in the world. I still said 'thank you' and started to briskly walk out, on the verge of tears. The shop assistant noticed and said "wait, we have these on the rail" pointing to another part of the shop (why she couldn't have told me that in the first place, I don't know), but she didn't change her tone and still didn't look interested. But by that point, I couldn't leave fast enough. I ran out of that shop and burst into tears. Worst experience of my wedding so far. I found a dress in another shop soon after, and they were amazing with 3 months to go. I was very disappointed with Abigials due to their attitude and customer service- I was prepared to spend enough to buy the perfect dress, but poor customer service ruined it.
