This year marks the 80th anniversary of the partnership between The Boeing Company and the British manufacturing and air transport industry.
At the end of last month, Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace company, celebrated this longstanding relationship by opening their new Fabrication factory in Sheffield. The new South Yorkshire production facility is Boeing’s first site in Europe and demonstrates their commitment to investing in the region’s growing Global Innovation Cor...ridor.
Boeing Sheffield will be aiming to produce thousands of actuation system components using raw materials sourced within the UK, all designed for use in their 737 and 767 jets to provide added lift during landing and take off, particularly at low speeds.
Here at AccuGroup, we’re proud of our Yorkshire roots and are delighted to see the continued development of the aerospace industry within our area.

The European Rover Challenge, first launched in 2014, is one of the biggest international space and robotics events in the world.
This competition pits over 65 teams from 20 countries against one another, competing in tasks analogous to those performed by rovers on the surface of Mars and the Moon.
